It should be mandatory for apartment blocks to have a vehicle accessible garbage room with skips for organic, recyclable waste, general waste and glass. The room should be tiled, ventilated and with a wash down facility.

I live in Spain Sandra- maybe in different regions it’s different but what we have here is similar to Trapani. You need to use the Boxes provided by the council, you cannot leave bags on the pavement. With a clear timetable. Also, the pick up is between 20:00 and 22:00, so we don’t have piles of rubbish bags on the pavement all day.

By the way, here the black bag is collected once every two weeks, so you have no choice but to separate , otherwise you are stocking loads of rubbish at home until the day arrives. ( there’s an exceptional for babies nappies and sanitary waste)

Hello, please forgive me, this video came to me randomly. I noticed you had the hashtag #malta, but I also looked up Trapani and discovered it is in Italy. I honestly could not identify what language you were speaking.
And I want to say thank you for teaching me; even though I thought I would recognize Italian, I really can't, by an actual person speaking normally. So my time on duolingo was really a waste of time. And I really practiced! Wow.
Good luck with the garbage issue.

@@SandraGauciADPD Oh Thank GOD! Hahah, I had once heard somebody describe what Maltese sounded like, and so that's what I thought from the hashtag. But then I looked at the signs you were pointing at, and I thought "well those words look Italian," and also the location hashtag. But what a relief! Thank you for clearing that up for me.
