    I would not have guessed that rice was in this but it makes sense and cacao is so so good!! So much different than traditional chocolate that we think of. I need this drink right now haha So good!!

      Cacao is very different. It's naturally more bitter and nutty than most would expect.

    The drink of GODS! I loved it very much! Such an easy recipe and the end result was a velvety chocolaty slightly booze drink? I swear I might of added too much vanilla extract that it had a alcohol taste to it that lingered but made me fall in love with this drink! Over ice makes a difference. Thanks for sharing your Nicaraguan Fresco 🇳🇮🤍 desde este Mexicano in love with Nicaragua

    I can roast raw cacao nibs!?!!! I for sure would have thought they would melt! 🤯🤯🤯 Omg I have to try this!!! The rice reminds me of horchata ... but I have never tried making it before and definitely would have thought you need to heat it to “cook” the rice. I learned so much in this video! Thank you so much for this recipe! 💕💕💕

    • @NataKnowsBest
      @NataKnowsBest  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they are truly raw cacao nibs then they should not melt. They're very different from processed chocolate morsels. That's what makes this flavor so unique 🤗

    What a fantastic recipe! Love that you’re using raw cacao nibs - I was imagining how good your kitchen must smell. I was wondering if you have any recipes that you could make using the left over pulp?

    • @NataKnowsBest
      @NataKnowsBest  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For this to be traditional, they have to be raw. Only the best 👌 I've never tried using the pulp since it's very bitter.

    Mmm. I am a hybrid of Nicoyan and Mexican descent, native of The City. Mi Abuelita would make fresco de cacao and its taste has the power to probe the deepest, most forgotten childhood memories of when it was all so simple. This drink is our ancestral legacy, we have an obligation to preserve it.
    Mi jente! Mexico, Centro, Sur America, el Caribe: UNIDAD. No mas complejos, orgullos y resentimiento, suelten el odio y dolor, procrear solo amor, UNIDAD, porque los gringos nos quieren condenar, ahora esta peor que nunca, la unidad es lo unico que nos va salvar.
    We are the sons and daughters of the sons and daughter's of a civilization that has been wiped off the planet by European imperial greed and conquest, the native Americans, the Maya, Taino, etc. We're all thats left. Dont any of you ever forget that.

    I have actually never had this dish or seen it made. I have seen horchata made but not with the nibs.
    I would put Kahlua in it and drink it in the morning for brunch.....

    • @NataKnowsBest
      @NataKnowsBest  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In recent years, Horchata became popular, so most would compare these two because of the rice. However, they're distinctive.
      It's common throughout Central and South America to make drinks with ground corn or rice.
      Kahlua in this would be interesting.
