Horchata Recipe: - 1.5 Cups long grain rice rinsed Transfer to large bowl - Break one cinnamon stick - Add in 4 cups boiling water - Let it sit covered overnight or 4 hours - Pour mixture into blender and blend - Add sugar to taste or small amount - Pour mixture from blender through a filter into a pitcher - Add 3 cups milk to mixture - One can evaporated milk - One can sweetened condensed milk - 1TBS of vanilla extract - Mix it well - Add 2 cups water - Taste and adjust. Add ice

The second time around I made it with almonds added to the cinnamon rice mixture and it came out fantastic, tasted a little softer and less strong on the cinnamon. Thank you so much! You can use coconut condensed milk and coconut evaporated milk ! Or coconut condensed milk and lactose free evaporated milk which the same brand she used here makes the same evaporated milk but lactose free

YES. This is the recipe! So good. The sweetened condensed milk really takes out the need for a lot of regular sugar. The perfect amount of sweet and refreshing. This recipe is my new go-to for horchata!
I love to add a few tablespoons of espresso and some maple extract to my horchata.. I also usually substitute the evaporated milk for a quarter cup of heavy cream and 1/2 cup of milk
