Yes, but no one cares that meltzer throws stars at him. If he wants to become a real star, he has to make it in WWE. But he is probably only one of many.
When will you smark people learn that Dave Meltzers rating System is rigged and worthless? His System prefers interchangeable Spotfests like Oasprey, Cole,Kenny Horrowitz, the Janetty Brothers, Aj Styles, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, DB, Finn Balor and and ...Guys like Braun, Brock, Bobby, Omos or so can not achieve a higher than 3 rating! Despite them drawing WAY more than the other Category! To be exactly, if you only rely on first one, your company is already lost! Happened with WCW, happened with TNA 2010, will happen with AEW...F Dave the Cancer Meltzer. Remember Punks pike pomb? Yeah maybe WWE is better when Vince dies, but Wrestling overall will be better once Dave Meltzer dies...
Of course Kenny Omega and will ospreay are going to be amazing they're two of the best. It would be interesting if Will Ospreay Kenny Omega Kota ibushi and Okada had a match. Also could you imagine how awesome it would be if Will Ospreay Kenny Omega Kota ibushi and Okada were to form a faction.
He’s always been a great wrestler but I feel like he’s started to really carry himself like a star lately. Loving how much more polite and articulate he comes across here.

In fairness to him he has adhd and a couple other things too dyslexia I think so it's not his thing to be articulate it takes alot of work on yourself to get to where he is more than people who don't have said things will understand

The admiration for Will here is wholesome. He's genuinely one of the greatest ever and he's still evolving.
Outside of WWE and AEW, he's my favorite wrestler. Him and Kenny Omega could put on a 5 star classic everytime they fight. This man doesn't get enough credit
Will Ospreay is so dang good, the stuff he does is unreal man.
His saying that the Unbreakable Triple Threat (AJ specifically) inspired him is so cool to me, as AJ is and always has been my all time favourite wrestler. Will has since become a close second, and I'd never thought about it until now, but this makes more sense if Will instinctively gravitated to a more TNA Styles style of wrestling

Amazing interview Chris. Hearing Will talk about working in the USA, makes seeing him work on programs like AEW Forbidden Door becomes all the more special.
This interview was so so good. Wil/Rico will always hold a special place in my heart. But to also see him on aew was a wrestling dream come true for me. I really hope we get him on American tv more, he’s incredible.
Will has been of my favorites for years now. Probably since 2015-2016. I think he's starting to really come into his own as the main event talent he is. He's been incredible for years.
Selfishly, Id love to see him in the US, but I respect the fact he doesn't want to. I just hope he gets the universal respect and accolades he deserves.

I love that he could care less about not ever being in Wrestlemania. I absolutely love that he doesn’t allow these ideas about what a wrestler should be doing and he’s like “I like being home” he can make mad money going to wwe but “ he likes being home” hahaha I love it.

I don't usually take pictures at meet and greets because I get self conscious in lines regarding how long I'm taking, so typically just get an autograph and move along.
I met ospreay at a warrior wrestling show. He had 50 people plus in his line but he said something to the effect, "You paid all this money to meet us, people can relax for a minute." I was in line alone, so he had one of his people take the picture.
Despite meeting dozens of awesome performers the last couple years, he's still one of the few that got me to slow down enough to appreciate the moment. Despite the short interaction, he seemed like a good dude. This was right around the time he had that serious kidney infection, so I admired the fact he even showed up for the fans.
Wow I didn’t expect him to be this humble and chill. Seems just like a bloke you met at the pub or work
Last year I went to my first AEW show and got to see Will in a match against Dax and I’ve been a huge fan of Will since. I have so many of these interviews saved to watch when I have time but this is the first that I stopped and made the time to watch. Genuinely one of if not my favorite wrestler. He absolutely deserves to be where he is now and he’s only going up from here. Wonderful interview. Thank you so much for providing this to us fans❤
One of the only good things that came out of 2020 was that it gave me time to do a deeper dive into Ospreay's career and he became my favourite wrestler in the world.

Had obviously heard of him before, but admittedly as more of a casual fan who hasn’t watched any of the companies he has wrestled in this interview is the first I have actually seen of Will. I’m now a fan, speaks really well and will definitely go out of my way to watch some of his matches now

I love how humble he is. You can tell it’s genuine. Guy’s a living legend and he talks like he’s just a normal dude. I became an even bigger fan after seeing his interviews.
One of my all time favourite wrestlers, he's incredible inside of the ring and outside of the ring. Thank god he didn't go WWE. Look at what they've done to Ricochet 🤦🏾♂️loved this interview wish him nothing but more success in the future
I really like how humble Will is and makes an excellent point about the Meltzer ratings. In terms of overall impact it really does not matter because it is just Dave's opinion but Dave's star ratings can contribute to the wrestler's ability to negotiate for better deals.

I've never been a huge Ospreay fan until the G1 last year, only saw him wrestle first in 2019 and thought he was a worse version of both Ricochet and ZSJ, but man nowadays he really is just incredible. And he's so likeable in this interview as well.

I’d love to sit down and talk to Will about wrestling. It’s so rare for me to ever have a conversation like this because no one surrounding me watches nor understands professional wrestling.
Used to train alongside him in London, first time I ever met him he placed both hands on a floor to ceiling metal support beam and lifted his whole body horizontally off the ground. He's a mensch.
His match vs Hiromu Takahashi for the iwjp junior heavyweight championship was one of the best matches of all time. He was injured in the head and find a way to finish the match, one of the best in the world ❤️.
