He tells how -- After just seeing the NASA moon photos some people/authors got so excited that numerous books were written about the "face" on Mars.
    Thats a lot of inspiration!!
Similiar to those people who fall in love and stay in love with somone for years. All without ever meeting or speaking with the subject of their "love".
It appears these folks love to think about things that exist only in their. mind.

What a great talk, but sad to see so few views. Every science course in every institution should start with this sort of instruction. Alas, in my experience it rarely is.

While I agree with this talk in general I do believe that there are some notable caveats of caution that we should remain aware of. It took me years to come to a clear and full belief that the airplane attacks on 9/11 could not possibly have brought down the twin towers and building 7. This is typical derisively dismissed now as "conspiracy theory" nonsense. Newton's law of the conversation of energy contradicts the official claims that were given to explain the collapse. All of the buildings, during collapse, obtained "free fall" acceleration. This could only happen if the resistance presented by floors below the impact location offered no resistance. For that to happen there had to be something happening that removed that resistance. That is basic physics. It caused me years of cognitive dissonance trying to reconcile the official story with the reality of what happened.

I don't think you benefited one iota from this great talk.

Psychology is -- by the definition of science -- a non-scientific way of thinking.
