How Israel created a water crisis for Palestinians | It's Complicated

- Water is one of the most precious resources in Israel and the Palestinian territories. But there is a stark imbalance in how this resource is distributed. In the occupied West Bank, Israeli-owned farms are flourishing, while Palestinians often do not have enough water to drink. And in Gaza, Palestinians are facing deadly levels of water shortage. Josh Toussaint-Strauss examines how Israel took control of the region's water supply and created a deadly scarcity crisis for Palestinians.

@@user-sz3vc9ue2g Israel occupies and controls all supplies and material, and water and electricity into both Gaza and the West Bank, with the PA propped up as puppets in the west bank. How dense can you be?
As a South African, I lived under an apartheid rule where people were denied basic rights just because a certain race felt they were “Gods chosen people” and that they were superior to everyone else in the country including the indigenous people to the land. Therefore as south africans we know what it’s like to live under these conditions while being oppressed and basically having our fates chosen by the government - the apartheid government of south africa controlled the movement, schools, homes and lives of non whites just as the israel government controls palestinians. The only difference is israel is committing a genocide trying to completely get rid of palestinians in israel - go look at the map of palestinians in palestine in 1948 vs 2023. South africans know that peaceful resistance is never taken seriously by a government who wants to take over your country therefore they resorted to militant resistance in order to break out of the apartheid state. Palestinians lived under israel’s apartheid occupation from 1948 (the same year South africa’s apartheid began) where israel demolished palestinian’s homes, controlled their movement, water, food and electricity, attacked and bombed more innocent civilians than hamas ever did every single year for 75 years before october the 7th. Why isn’t the hamas attack seen as resistance to israel’s attacks then? But israel’s tenfold response to hamas is justified because “they asked for it”? None of the previous israeli attacks which were just as harsh and killed even more people were ever made this big of a deal and most people don’t even know about it. In South Africa, the ANCs peaceful resistance against the apartheid state went unnoticed and only when they resisted more forcefully, then the apartheid state of South Africa became recognised internationally and eventually helped South Africa to become a democratic country where all citizens were given equal rights and access to basic necessities like education, food, jobs and medical care. People probably think this way because they’re so indoctrinated with American mainstream media which propagates israel as the victim and that they’re “defending themselves” by wiping out an entire nation since they’re obviously allies and their governments are blood, money and power hungry. People seriously need to educate themselves before thinking it’s about religions or that it’s a two sided war, when it’s literally a genocide happening in front of our eyes.
Can you give me examples of apartheid regim?

they are under blockade. You control every aspect of their life. If they build anything you block the parts. The unemployment rate is 70% because they have no freedom of movement. Your settlements do not stop you take their land inch by inch every day. You have uprooted most of their olive trees so their farmers cannot have a viable income. At least stop lying.
If it wasn't for the United States protection , Israel would have been punished drastically by the international
community. But the Big Brother has big fists and is very very scary . They have great protection at high levels.
I love when people say this conflict has to do with religion or the crusades
It's not complicated...it's Apartheid! And now Genocide according to international law.
This is terrible. US supports Israel with weapons and impunity, despite proclaiming to be the epitome of human rights. Oppression is abhorrent but not complicated. The Palestinian people continue to suffer under the occupation and violence perpetuated by Israel, while the international community turns a blind eye. It is crucial for us to stand in solidarity with those who are oppressed and demand justice for all. The fight for human rights is far from over, but we must continue to speak out against injustice wherever it may be found.
Everybody pray and hope for goodness to overcome evil all over the globe
Thank you for showing the truth.
some of truth
All these years Palestinians had to go through these! And people say Hamas started on October 7th? How inhuman is this!
Yeah all these years palistine got millions in aid and decided not to build and maintain infrastructure for their people. It's not even israels responsibility.
So if Hamas did not attack this would not happen
I've no word to explain what Palestinians live for decades. No cound human being can deem aything close to that as reasonable, justified and human. The level of inhumanity, perversity and terror inflicted by Israeli governments on Palestinians is just of a next level. Never this can be justified by any religion, any common value, any basic principle.
Thank you Guardian for this coverage. The oppression and discrimination has been systematic and on going from the start - on Palestinians who ironically were the ones who welcomed the settlers into their communities when not many would.
First time seeing a British Channel standing with Truth and justice
Vardır bir hesabı..75 yıl öncesine sorunun kaynağına gittiğinizde de ingilizleri göreceksiniz. Tüm bu yaşananların sebebi...
Palestinians have every right to defend themselves against Isreal oppression
