Thanks for the review! You compared it to the Summit Ascent in this video, but how do you think it pairs up vs the OG Summit with the stronger TX-23? I love the look of the Sub Zero but don't want to pick it up if it going to pretty much be very similar to the OG Summit (mine has lot of life left)
The core felt insanely different. Honestly I was stunned because I was NOT a fan of the Forge Ember. This one is different. When they put this cover on the Jackal, it might be the best ball Motiv's ever made.

Dear Mega-mind. I could really use your help. I bowl just like you and our stats are very similar but my ball speed is about 1 MPH higher I LOVE THE IQ RUBY ALSO I want a ball to pair with it . I prefer on the right side of the lane / don’t like playing deep. I am a league / house hack who will bowl 180 one game and 220 the next . What ball pairs well with the Ruby for our type of bowling for THS? TIA
why does it feel/look like when I throw a solid it seems to roll clunky, slow, compared to a pearl. example, pride dynasty to a crimson jackal. am I the only one who thinks this?
That's a totally common reaction, and is somewhat inherent to solid coverstocks, especially when they're dull on house shots. Try shining it up a little (4000 grit or light polish) and see how you like it!
The surface of a bowling ball has microscopic ridges and valleys. Solids generally have more pronounced ridges and valleys than pearls. A common analogy is thinking of solids like a snow tire and pearls like a racing slick. On snow/ice (oil), the snow tire digs in while the racing slick slides all over the road, but on a dry roads, the snow tire is chunky where the racing slick wants to take off. Because of these differences, the Solid ball will wants to dig through the oil, creating more friction, and the friction makes it start to grab the lane and slow down. The pearl want see this friction until it finds a dry spot on the lane, and then it really takes off. Surface adjustments are also responsible for this. Most solids come out of the box dull where most pearls are shiny. Duller balls have more aggressive ridges and valleys so they'll create friction sooner. However, as you throw your ball the surface will naturally "lane shine" and mellow out, usually around 4700 grit. So you can either let your Pride Dynasty lane shine, or you can adjust the surface to something less aggressive, and it won't seem as chunky and slow anymore
How much oil does it pick up along the way? I need a replacement for my opening ball on fresh for league, and I really like the look my low end stuff gives, I just need to burn myself a slot first. This looks good, definitely on the short list for consideration.
It doesn't seem to create a ton of transition, but the cover literally did not shine up at all, so the performance shot to shot was super consistent as that friction you're looking for worked in. If you want real a trench digger, you might have to look at something a touch more aggressive.
I did a 55 x 4 3/4 × 70 it puts the Pin below my bridge. You called it lol. It is already smooth but it goes longer but I dont have to hook the lane. And I am rev dominant as well!@bowlersparadise2255
Being a solid and white, how dirty does it get from a single session or expected number of games before being cleaned? I shy away from anything that needs constant cleaning.

Feel like this would be a good benchmark for balanced bowler with speed of 15ish off the hand and 320ish revs? Mostly play on THS.

Rattler Big Bite, iQ Tour Solid, Venom Shock would all likely treat you well.
