Its good to have them both. I just finish star rail main story so while theres no other content yet I can go back to genshin to do the current event, hopefully they alternate the update for both games.
Hard to imagine such a calm,tall and a handsome cute strimmer be chaotic in thier stream. So surely its a calm stream u can watch without having it on mute.

Dan Heng has been my DPS since the release and I’ve always used him with Bronya since I got her out of the fact I liked the combo. I didn’t know that it was actually helping his damage though… I hope you’ll make guides for this game because I kinda need them.
SAME!! I got bronya in the first 10 spins and I built dan heng on the simple fact that I had saved my spins so I did not had too many characters. He got insane after level 30 and then I finally gave up saving and spin for seele. I got her but My dan heng can still be used with tingyun in the second team
Is giving dan heng the revigorated state by bailu ult considered as giving him a buff and as such buffing him , also same thing with asta speed boost .
@@Hoshiro08 If I remember correctly, you don't even have to buff him, only target him directly with someone's skill so Bailu's skill will suffice, however I don't think either Asta's or Bailu's ults will work since they aren't specifically targetting him.
This is such a big help Mr Sockss, would really appreciate if u can make more star rail guides on different characters and mechanics like how u do in genshin :D
One of the characters that I like is Sampo! Gameplay-wise, at least. His cheerful disposition reminds me of Childe... Anyway, and I can't stress this enough, but the DoT effects from his skills is rather strong. It stacks up pretty well with some of the Light Cones (like 'Fermata' and 'Good Night and Sleep Well'), and it can affect more than one enemy at a time, making it possible to clear mobs with ease. Many of the enemies I encounter in Simulated Worlds, in fact, are defeated by his DoT.
He’s also very good with Serval on world sim 4 with nihility path. However I did get lucky with the blessings, I got mostly nihility. They were able to do so much damage, like way more than my yanqing with each DOT turn, it was nuts. Leveled him up after saw Mtashed do 40k, although mine was only doing 15k per DOT turn, but still enough to finish floor 4. I don’t have his gloves leveled up, in fact I only had his hat levled up for hp so he could survive the bosses 😭
For players who have played a lot of turn based astas aoe increase speed is probably one of the op buffs you can get especially if you have speed boots and substats since you can reach a level where you can basically attack two times in the same turn before even get hit plus the passive aoe increase atk buff
Also would like to shoutout serval. Shes very good in aoe dmg but her dmg in single target is kinda lackluster. But i think shes definitely worth building since she is the only good lightning dps (arlan isnt good). If you plan on summoning for jing yuan then serval is strictly a downgrade but otherwise she will carry u in aoe content. Serval also has very good synergy with kafka so if ur planning on pulling for kafka,building serval is a great option.
i pair bailu with my 3k def march 7th and between the free revive and march’s shield having a built in debuff it’s a super comfy team to play, slap some dps in there like jing yuan and everything just dies
It’s embarrassing to say, but I haven’t exactly swapped out the Trailblazer, March, or Dan Heng since the beginning of the game. Once you start leveling them up and give them relics, lightcones, and eidelons they all become very viable and useful characters despite being free (and the first three you get). I also had the luck of getting Bailu so early in the game. So with her and March being the foundation of defense I use Trailblazer and Dan Heng as my main offense, and now that I finally unlocked the Preservation path for the Trailblazer she’s probably even more reliable, though it sucks that her instant heal ability was removed for one that gives her a shield at the start of a battle.
Tingyun has helped a lot and not just for her buffing. Her ult giving energy to a teammate has come in clutch so many times. I like using Welt and use Natasha and even though Natasha doesn't make use of the damage buff, getting that energy to Natasha for an emergency heal quicker or to Welt for his ult has been a blessing. It has helped me live through content that is higher then my characters levels and builds. I am saving to wish on Jingyuans banner so was hoping to get her then but was so happy to get her so early and to already have her at E3, though this means that my character roster is a little lacking because I keep getting Tingyun duplicates but I love using her and can't wait to pair her with Jingyuan so the more Eidolons the better. Also Natasha being able to remove a debuff on a teammate has also been really nice too.
I've been using her like that too! I know Natasha doesn't make use of the dmg buff, but I still prefer survivability over dmg, so I love pairing them together
damn youre so lucky i have exhausted all my pulls on the starter banner already got the guaranteed random 5star, lost a 50-50 on the event banner already got Seele AND i havent got a single copy of her LOL! so now im saving for her on the next banner hope i get her!!
@@Spencer0090 I did not expect to get her even one time, I am saving for Jingyuan so that is when I thought I would get her. But getting her so early and to be able to build her up before getting Jingyuan is great so I can focus more on him later.

I am quite fakking impressed with the MC. Normally MCs are kinda mediocre. Not bad cuz they ARE the MC, it would be kinda silly of the absolutely sucked. But theyre generally a pretty noticable step down from the really good charcters as the Studio ofc want you to spend to get the better characters. I was actually quite impressed with the MC in Genshin. At least from Geo and forward theyre actually a viable option, there ARE better characters but its not like night or day difference. Star Rails MC is a big step up even from that. Shes actually REALLY useful. Good Job, HoYoverse
I built Pela (E5), Tingyun (E2) got Bronya from losing 50/50, and Asta (E2)... I actually cannot slot a dps anymore because I enjoy Harmony and Nihility charas so much lol. Hoyoverse at it with Support Impact once again HAHAHAHAHA
Herta. People need to know that Herta is way better then people think she is. She does a ton of damage and her follow up damage while can be a bit random on how many times she spins, but her follow up damage is amazing, especially when she spins 5 times. There's been a lot of times where Herta would go, then follow up, then her ultimate filled up, use the ultimate, then she follows up again and they are dead. Sometimes even less then that enemies have died faster to her. She doesn't buff, heal or shield, but she does ice damage and does that really well. This game doesn't have a meta since it's not a pvp game and all characters are actually good. Slapping meta on Honkai Star Rail lets me know that you play Honkai Star Rail in a competitive way and that doesn't make sense for a PVE game.
Hook definitely deserves a honorable mention for having really good numbers and synergizing extremely well with Asta's fire%, speed and atk buffs. So uh might as well mention all the existing 4* characters in this video, they're all so good KEKW

i didnt really want to build asta bc i didnt need another buffer but GOD DAMN is she useful in world 6. She absolutely SHREDS cocolias shield. Asta, natasha and the hunt path carried so hard.
Hi, great video and good advice but I disagree with something. You should level all your hunt units (all your units actually) because they have different elements. As the game progresses more enemies will have different elemental weaknesses and having an elementary diverse roster will make it easier to build teams.
@@Loner_Kun I disagree, I think now is the best time to level up your units but everyone plays differently. Do what works for you. Eventually, though, you will want to level all your units. You want as many different path/element combinations as you can get to deal with the coming content.
Guys: Is investing in Gepard and Fire MC worth it? Both are tanks and Gepard is known to be an absurd tank, so I don't know if investing in the MC would be a waste.

I’m really enjoying this game. My gacha luck has been decent, though I lost the 50/50, the dragon healer girl seems kinda crazy. I played Genshin on PS4, but I couldn’t wait to play Star Rail and it somehow runs decent on an iPhone 6s. No crashes yet, but my characters get untextured in hub areas.
@@TheRealTact Right after doing the 10 pull on the character banner, I had enough currency from pulling to buy a standard wish, then did the 8 pull on the beginner banner and got Bronya.
I have both Pela and Tingyun. I,ve been playing both of them and mixing and matching between teams. Tingyun is better for a team with a Hunt character while Pela is very good with AOE like Himeko that I got. So both are very good together and Tingyun can stay with my Yanqing.
Fire MC is nice, I already have Gepard so I use him instead of MC, physical MC is also a top tier DPS My current team is: MC Seele Tingyun Gepard I also E1 Yanqing, bit I have Seele his artifacts. (My Gepard also deals decent enough dmg, even though I don't have his 35% Defence scaling dmg)
So... You need a tank aka Fire MC as a F2P, you need a healer aka Natasha or if you are lucky Bailu, You definitely need a DPS (-1 slot), and only one slot is opened. And here we have to decide to bring a sub-DPS, buffer or debuffer. And between Pela vs Ting ... I will pick Ting any day of the week since atk buff and energy regen is much more beneficial than a def break from Pela. If we would have a 5-slot teams - it would give us more opportunities for actual team and strategy building. But with a 4-team comps - very limiting.

News has gone around about Yukong's kit (who's gonna release presumably in 1.1) and she seems to be broken af She's gonna be like Tingyun + Bronya combined, providing a bunch of ATK% and Crit stats to the ENTIRE team. Hopefully we are all lucky enough to get a copy of her since she is a 4 star after all
Her buff only lasts for two actions, so it's going to be extremely tricky to keep it up to buff your damage dealer. Her kit sounds amazing on paper, but very hard to maintain in practice.
As someone that speaks mandarin, I'm impressed and disappointed that Zy0x actually pronounced Dan Heng correctly the first time, then got it wrong the second time
I used the fire mc on herta’s world sim and just stacked shield blessings. My Natasha barely did a thing because the shield was so durable even the main boss only managed to make a bit damage. She/he’s surely worth it to build!
Why do we need anything but 2 hunt characters + tank/support? (can even go full-out all DPS team for abundance sim universe runs) My fire mc, Seele + Dan Heng and Bailu as a healer at lvl 50 clear sim universe worlds 3 to 4 on full auto quick and clean (no need to rezz or babysit the fights) and for world 5 I just use cleanse from abundance path (just gotta roll 6+ abundance buffs) and use that when boss uses mind control (more reliable and useful than cleanse from Natasha or March 7th) I've rolled Himeko just 2 tickets after Bailu (duh!) and was thrilled at first but after testing stuff for some time... even with max %DMG buffs and %DMG light cone and fire DoTs from MC that give +20% dmg etc. etc. she doesn't feel as a more effective replacement for a second hunt path character for tougher fights - boss swarms you with adds? use path of the hunt/whatever AOE to squish em when they spawn. Boss CCs you? use cleanse from path of abunance. So the question stands - is there any scenarios when I rly want buffer/debuffer/AOE dps in the team instead of 2 Hunt DPS? Maybe Seele is just way too OP right now huh

I'll just say don't underestimate Sampo. In terms of shield breaking he's like Asta, but wind. Hits several times and provide DoT.

Yes. Dan Heng and Bronya is also my combo team. I could even wipe out four enemies with them.

Don't forget Asta is also free! She can easily replace some buffers for a speedy team
You can swap path whenever you want to heal and then just swap back

I’m really enjoying this game. My gacha luck has been decent, though I lost the 50/50, the dragon healer girl seems kinda crazy.
I played Genshin on PS4, but I couldn’t wait to play Star Rail and it somehow runs decent on an iPhone 6s. No crashes yet, but my characters get untextured in hub areas.
My luck has also been pretty good so far, got bronya and seele and a 5 star light cone from standard for seele.
@@TheRealTact Right after doing the 10 pull on the character banner, I had enough currency from pulling to buy a standard wish, then did the 8 pull on the beginner banner and got Bronya.
The progression from march 7th to 10th got me ☠️☠️☠️
I have both Pela and Tingyun. I,ve been playing both of them and mixing and matching between teams. Tingyun is better for a team with a Hunt character while Pela is very good with AOE like Himeko that I got. So both are very good together and Tingyun can stay with my Yanqing.
I'm still missing fox mommy. She's the only character I really want but goddamn, she's avoiding me like the plague.

natasha is even better when you build break effect sub stat on her. Her basic attack can one shot physical based shields some times..

So... You need a tank aka Fire MC as a F2P, you need a healer aka Natasha or if you are lucky Bailu, You definitely need a DPS (-1 slot), and only one slot is opened. And here we have to decide to bring a sub-DPS, buffer or debuffer. And between Pela vs Ting ... I will pick Ting any day of the week since atk buff and energy regen is much more beneficial than a def break from Pela. If we would have a 5-slot teams - it would give us more opportunities for actual team and strategy building. But with a 4-team comps - very limiting.
Are Bronya and Tingyu good together on the same team ?

Her buff only lasts for two actions, so it's going to be extremely tricky to keep it up to buff your damage dealer. Her kit sounds amazing on paper, but very hard to maintain in practice.

I used the fire mc on herta’s world sim and just stacked shield blessings. My Natasha barely did a thing because the shield was so durable even the main boss only managed to make a bit damage. She/he’s surely worth it to build!
Why do we need anything but 2 hunt characters + tank/support? (can even go full-out all DPS team for abundance sim universe runs) My fire mc, Seele + Dan Heng and Bailu as a healer at lvl 50 clear sim universe worlds 3 to 4 on full auto quick and clean (no need to rezz or babysit the fights) and for world 5 I just use cleanse from abundance path (just gotta roll 6+ abundance buffs) and use that when boss uses mind control (more reliable and useful than cleanse from Natasha or March 7th)
I've rolled Himeko just 2 tickets after Bailu (duh!) and was thrilled at first but after testing stuff for some time... even with max %DMG buffs and %DMG light cone and fire DoTs from MC that give +20% dmg etc. etc. she doesn't feel as a more effective replacement for a second hunt path character for tougher fights - boss swarms you with adds? use path of the hunt/whatever AOE to squish em when they spawn. Boss CCs you? use cleanse from path of abunance. So the question stands - is there any scenarios when I rly want buffer/debuffer/AOE dps in the team instead of 2 Hunt DPS? Maybe Seele is just way too OP right now huh
