you should incorporate some hiking around the surrounding area, the scenery is incredible and it would be cool if you showed what's in it from up close. The food looked delicious!
Interesting to have mediation background music in the background. I found Interesting and fascinating that my first ASMR video has more comments and views than all videos I filmed. 👌👍
Thanks for the comment! I found adding the background music adds a little bit of extra to the video and if using drone footage, you can ramp the audio slightly into those shots 🤙🏽 ASMR is great because it’s often relaxing OR one can play it in the background.
@@hunter_pauley most certainly! I prefer to here in oregon and when traveling. Which part of MT was this? I’ve been watching your vids for a bit here and just scooped a 2007 tacoma and am hoping to get a camper before too long and head out that way again.
Thanks for the comment! So I use the Sony a7iv primarily with the sigma 24-70 f2.8. If I use another lens, it would be the Tamron 70-180 f2.8. Drone wise, I was primarily using the Mini 3 Pro but recently just also picked up the Mavic 3 Pro. Tripod I use the Peak Designs and mic, it's just a higher level Rode Mic :)
I’m a little confused on your setup. Do you sleep in the roof top tent or does that just open up for headspace? The bed of your truck doesn’t look big enough for you to sleep in. Your videos are great!
Jase from MD here.. Great stuff. Subbed! Im for the ASMR overlanding stuff, guys run on about their gear gets a bit ehh sometimes. I do similar stuff here in MD, just no time to film and edit giving a 40+ weekly gig.. I do however collect old Jeep XJs, and have been to Idaho, Montana, and I-90 East for all the trips back East and so wish to take my rig out, great land out there! I hope to revisit in my kitted 04 WJ Jeep!. Wild guess giving the morning drone shots, ...Missoula area?..give or a 50+ mile radius? Cheers Dude, keep having a blast!!
Thanks for the watch and comment Jase! Yea folks really love the ASMR stuff and it's great to play in the background or when unwinding as well. Montana is a wicked cool state! And you were close with the location - about 70-80 miles outside of Missoula off the I-90. Appreciate the support and more videos to come!
@@hunter_pauley Yea looked a bit familiar lol You got it man, flying to Missoula in April to spend a few days touring around, then back fall in the '04
Appreciate the support! It's a lot of work to pump these out but I also LOVE doing it and the support everyone shows makes me want to do them even more! Again, thank you for the watch!
I’m hooked on your channel and love your set-up. I have a Tacoma same color that I’m building for camping very similar to yours. I just installed a lift with the Deaver stage 3. I’m netting around 2 3/4” in the front. Did you have to install a diff drop? Are your CV axles stock? If so, how are they holding up? Your system seems to work well for you so I’m trying to go with something as trouble free as possible. Thanks for any advice you can give and keep the great videos coming. Thanks!
Im heading out for New Years with the dogs (got to get them away from fireworks and loud party noises) and aiming for S/W Utah then looping back North through St George. I thought Id avoid the snow (Boise had snow for about 10 minutes) but maybe I should look at MT. Its a hellva lot closer. Last March I went to Island Park but everything was super snowed in, and I couldnt access stuff and ended up at Clark Fork Res for a few days. I know thats March. I definately got the winter experience.
The NW side of Montana (knock on wood) is usually pretty light on the snow and this year it especially is. We do have snow in Missoula again after a snow storm this Sunday. Way behind on snow though compared to last year!
Thanks for the watch! I have a video on my channel showcasing/going over how I built it. It's a Lavaner Pro inside a Apache 4800 case using 3D printed parts from "Keegan Builds".
Thanks for the watch Dillon! Trash goes into a bag which I toss in the cab of the truck. Since this is just an overnight trip, I put the dishes also in the cab and do them at home. When it's colder like this, it's just not a main focus of mine to do them in the river/stream :)
I have a video on the channel but truck was 40k brand new and everything else right around 30-35k. Some wiring and lift was the only thing done by shops.
I have one on my off road trailer. First trip out, a gust of wind snapped two spreader bars (i learned to watch the wind and use poles and guy lines). I called OVS and explained my mistake and they asked for my address. Five days later two new poles arrived, no charge. Thats customer service.
@@erickaesman4001 def wanna tie them down with the wind! I usually just put mine away especially if I know the wind is gonna be wicked during the evening. That is how my last awning broke.
@@hunter_pauley I'm based in Calgary. Three-hour drive from the Babb/Carway border. Let me know if you decide to do some winter camping in January near the Alberta Rockies. By the way, I'm headed to Baja, Mexico, this February. Cheers, mate!
last question ! in theory, if you vented your diesel heater to the bottom area and had one piece of the modular bed (or more) taken out, would it heat the whole bottom and top sections pretty well ? @@hunter_pauley
It could in slightly warmer temps, but below 30º in my experience...don't see it happening. If the length of the pipe is super short from heater to bottom, area...then maybe. If you were to hard mount the heater inside the bed like some do, for sure I see it working. @@allkite
I appreciate your cleanliness and organization! For most, that goes out the window when they’re camping.
Thank you for noticing! I do try to keep things as tidy as possible when out camping :)
Beautiful scenery. Montana has such beautiful scenery. The dog is adorable! Great video
Thank you for the kind words! 🙏🏽
man I need to learn some of the filming skills you have shown here, camera angle, setup, composition, color grading etc. Great job!
Odi's jump onto the tailgate got me hahaha. Another great video man!
Thanks man! Haha Mr. Odi was def ready to get into the tent and lay down.

We really need to hit up the Jeep trail next year and make content. 😊
Came across your channel recently, and really enjoy your content! Relaxing and motivating to get back to the great outdoors at the same time.
Glad you discovered it or a video popped up! Will be working on some more videos for sure coming up!

Great channel you have here. Your cooking ideas actually impress me. its cool to see what you can come up with out in the bush :D
Thanks! That means a lot because a lot of effort goes into making these meals...not just pouring water in a dehydrated meal for each trip lol.

Were the interior bed lights on the GFC an option or did you do them yourself? Nice setup.
Did everything myself. GFC doesn’t do any add ons like this.
