Question has anybody done a gun lead tutorial for jet fighters? Cause since I started playing jets I'm having massive problems know a lot of tricks when flying putting me in around casual joe average category but when it comes to killing I suck badly when judging distance and speed of planes going faster than 600kph.
I love the Japanese air tree because it's such a mixed back, the Ki-84's, the N1K's, the A6m's, they're all turn fighter really, but they play differently from each other that it doesn't feel stale. And the J7W1 I adore with all my heart lol. It's not the best but those 30 mils have earned me aces more than once or twice. Dare I say as well, the Ki-44's are the best dogfighters in the game tier for tier. Absolute rockets, not hardest at turning but turn most things against them, and the ammo types just work ig.
Two weeks after he released the video, Sons of Attila dropped and changed the Japanese Tech Tree. The video has started to become dated only two weeks after a it’s release. Gotta love the Snail’s timing
after you spade this tech tree youll earn a skill, that skill is basically not wasting more than what you need with bullets, its pretty good skill for tier 1 to tier 6. This was my first spaded tech tree and i loved it very much, from tier 1 to tier 5 and tier 8, tier 6 and 7 were pain and not really enjoyable (no flares or flares that sucky sucky)
I think the Japanese .50 cals were downplayed a bit. I've personally seen them do a lot of damage especially with Air Target belts. They do fall off a bit as the BR increases, but for the Ki-43 and early Ki-61s they are very good with ammo count being its biggest drawback
They deal more damage from single bullet because of IAI and HEI rounds, so they rip enemy machines. US .50 have higher penetration, fire rate and number of barrels per plane. They mostly deal damage to engines, cooling and pilot
Yeah, I have no idea why they're so downplayed. Using either the Air Targets or Stealth belts works pretty well. They used to be shit, but when the Italian tree was added, they improved the belts of the heavy 12.7mm mg, with the Japanese ones included. Now, but the Italian and Japanese 12.7s can do some damage, even after they were nerfed.
japanese 50cals for the longest of times were bad because gaijin thought giving them belts mostly of ball ammo was a good idea. now after years of bitching gave japan much better belts, so now they can actually do things. thankfully japanese 13.2s came along after the belt fix so it never had this issue.
As a japan main i would like to pecise some things in the comments, the japanese grind is pretty easy compared to other nations basically every fighter in the rank 2 - 4 are really good but if you want to grind the jets its more hard since the rank 5 and 6 aren't realy good and over priced so i would recommend farming the sabre asap with the ki200 after that i would recommend sim for rank 6 since t2 k and f1 have really good radar so finding target is easy and for the f104 its not that bad when you know how to play it, and don't make the mistake to research the f4 ej kai first.
You may need to redo this video very soon because Japan will get F-15J and F-2 while China will get J-10A and F-CK1 Ching Kuo. Also, Gaijin recently removed the 9 G limiter for all F-16A variants.

For me its my " teammates" shooting over my shoulder to kill the guy I'm dogfighting... its like every damn time they damage me just enough to not get " credit" for the tk but they weaken me so I get killed by enemies
I've always loved flying the A6Ms, even the high tier ones. Why? People always want to turn with you dispite being told constantly not to turn with a Zero.
The Ki-44-II otsu is one of, if not the best fighters at 3.0. The thing is really light, and has a massive engine giving it amazing climbing and acceleration performance, and is almost as maneuverable as an A6 so you wont be losing any dogfights unless its against an A6 or you get 3rd partied. I havent put hundreds of battles into it but the nearly 100 i have, has earned me just above a 6.0 K/D with it. Of course, its fragile as every other japanese plane and one of the main downsides is the 2 40mm wing mounted guns that only have 20 rounds total that are tracerless and have really low velocity. Don't think i've really gotten any kills with the 40mms at all because they're just not that useful, however the 2 50cals make up for the lackluster cannon performance with their amazing IAI and HEF rounds

I can't agree with calling T-2 mediocre, no other plane gets access to AIM-9P at 9.7, paired up with incredibly good radar, you can get amazing results. Note that it's also a supersonic fighter, so when facing a downtier you can be the fastest plane in the match. More agile than starfighter, faster than a sabre. Biggest downside is lack of chaff and RWR, flares can be achieved with 2x missile pod and cutting down on afterburner + sharp turn

Man, the Ki21 bomber can outturn a bi-plane. That ought to say something. Bring this bomber to low tier as CAS with 20 50kg bombs or 10 100kg bombs and just sh*t on the enemy.

Props to the creator, although he made some mistakes. 1. Zeros aren't that great in terms of grinding and learning. You learn nothing about energy fighting which you will operate on with J2Ms, J7W or any other fighter that can exceed 620km/h. And for your enemy it requires a few brain cells to prevent you from getting any shot on them. Very fun, but I didn't learn much playing them and I've learned more with J2M and even J7W. 2. The G8N1 is way stronger than the creator has described it. The defensive armament is very overwhelming and the only heavy bomber having better firepower than it is the Tu-4. If someone thinks Me-264 has a strong def armament, G8N1 is much stronger, having all angles covered with more cannons that hit even harder. The speed for its size, just like for the Me-264 is insane, being able to exceed 580km/h with full bomb load in a -5° dive at 4000m, as well as the rip speed being 680km/h IAS. The payload is bad for its size, but still somewhat usable since you barely, but actually can destroy a base. And it's a great grinder if being used by the right person. With some decent aim, the correct way of playing and the crew having some good abilities maxed out, in most cases you make at least 10K SL per game with no boosters, while flying a plane that is even more fun to play than Zero imo. 3. The Ki-84, at least Hei, is very powerful until it faces a P-51H that otruns and outclimbs it, with the Ki-84 barely outturning the P-51H. 4. R2Y2s are great grinders too. Their roll rate is very bad, but this thing having 4 30mms doesn't require trigger discipline and it's actually more like unlimited spraying because of 600 of total ammo. 5. Sabres aren't that great against MiG-15s and supersonics, the Brownings are the worst guns they could possibly mount unless we also talk about anything else below 20mm. MiG-15 outturns, outclimbs and has better guns than the Sabre, only being barely outrunned. This isn't meant to be offensive, only to point out some mistakes that newbies shouldn't listen to. Despite these mistakes, the video os still great. All said by a full-time japanese main. If you made it this far, thank you.

probably but they might just decide to keep the f16 in the game so that japan has more top tiers, as they have a pretty tiny amount compared to other countries.
Dont play china, dont waste your time unless you go full top tier with premium vehicles, china have other nations vehicles but is always the "bad" versión of them better go for israel aiming at the merkavas
I beg to differ with him saying Japan fire firepower is not the best. Have you gotten hit by a Tracer belt from a J2M2 or an A6M5 or A7M1? You just get parts ripped off your plane with ease. Japan has a few biplanes at the start of the line like the Ki-10 all the way to Ki-10-II C even though it's only like 4 or 6 in the line. But Japan SUFFERS compared to almost every other tree But good video nice to see someone do Japan and even China 👍

Although the vehicles just got moved around a bit, so it shouldn't effect it too much

The A6M3 is my favorite plane in the entire game. The only thing that can kill me is being swarmed by enemies.

I’ve had times where I’ve won a 1v4 because all of them tried to turn fight me. The problem comes when the enemy has more than 2 brain cells.
