    ive been trying to understand how to make stencil templates for painting how you cut,then stick them to the project,ive literally watched 20 videos,within 5 minutes of your video i totally understood every detail

      Many pretend to know but they don't really, they watch tutorials to make a tutorial. This guy though is a professional.

    Dude, great video, there are many tutorials explaining how it works, but the way you show it its very simple and useful, and men, thanks for the links! I love this kind of videos were we larn not just about your builds but also how to use diferent tools and tips you've learned throug your own experience! Cheers!

    you don't need a cutting mat when using materials that have a backing like vinyl, only need it for small pieces of vinyl that are to small to fit between the 2 rollers or stuff like cardstock that has no backing.

    I've been trying to cut HTV with the Portrait 1 and Im unable to. Do you might happen why? Does the Portrait 1 does not cut HTV?

    Would this cutter be able to cut two sheets of vinyl that are layered on top of each other to create an opaque vinyl decal?

    Hi there!
    Great tutorial! Thanks so much for this! I am debating which to buy, Portrait or Portrait2.
    I hope you can help me make the choice by giving me some info I need.
    I was wondering if you could move the black pinch wheels to the sides?
    I have a cricut and though it is not mentioned much online, you can move those small pinch wheels in the middle to the sides, just so they don’t mark thicker materials.
    It seems the rollers in the middle in portrait 2 are slightly different and from the looks of it cannot be moved to the sides.
    But it looks that those tiny black pinch rollers can be moved to the sides on portrait.
    Would really appreciate at your earliest convenience as I really need this info so I can make my final decision!

      Still using it, still does what I need it to. I actually would rather have the bigger one, but that's a little more expensive.

      I believe it needs to be a picture, but you can take a screenshot of your Microsoft word document :p

    Hey man you might not see this but your vids are great and I have got a lot of custom of people wanted modded cases. Your channel is where i started. Just a quick quesiton on this. I am looking to get one of these portraits and is there a difference on which way i put the vinyl into the cutter?

      There's also a bigger version of this called the cameo I wish I got instead, Bigger vinyls would be useful

      Dietec well I only plan on doing the GPU backplates for some customers and some SSD plates so I think the portrait will be ok. Thanks for the reply though :)

    I bought this cutter but had to put a small piece of paper behind the blade so as not to loosen up while cutting
