While I do agree that $90k is absurd for a new 2500 truck, a lot of dealers currently have these trucks marked down by about $30k. I just bought a new Laramie that was completely loaded with every option and stickers for $93k. I paid $62k for it. Still a lot of money, yes, but by far the best deal available right now.
My 24 3500 Big Horn had both versions of the window sticker in it, the lowered was $6655 less than the original & I got $14K off the reduced sticker. Some dealers are advertising total price discount off the higher sticker.
Also it’s not just Ram, it’s all brands. It’s crazy how much Covid made it all go up and it was Covid. It slowly went up for years and when it hit everything spiked, and the chip shortages were terrible too.
I normally don’t comment but how can any one afford this or any manufacturer for that case. I have 2016 3500 4x4 with 120,000. Bought with 30k in 17 loaded in the mid $30’s. Same truck now cost more than my first house. I must be doing something wrong.
Shorter bed and slightly smaller cab + shorter exterior height than Ford and GM = a HD that can fit in my standard garage. So there is a liver lining to the shorter bed and slightly smaller cab. Best stereo and best interior for my money. Best stereo BY FAR. I bought a 24 Limited Longhorn, missed the Powerstroke power so went back to a F250 but REALLY missing the interior and easier to fit in my garage Ram so I am thinking about buying my Ram back. It’s still on the lot up days later. I love all the trucks! Lol!!
I’m from ky and it is October now and some of the dealers here now have an online price of $75,000. The base price is $71,000 must be hard times for Ram.
Ram could easily rate this for a higher GVWR. I have been testing that theory for 7 years for them. I’d loan mine back to the engineers if they need a real world test vehicle. Why they refuse to change is beyond me.
That's why I would never buy a Ram 2500 diesel. What's the point of the 5th wheel prep if you can't use it. At least the 6.4 Hemi 2500 comes with 2900-3400 lbs of payload and can easily tow a smaller 5th wheel.
@@Jumbolub Ram 2500's with the cummins have 1800-2200 lbs of payload, depending on trim/options. The diesel is almost 1000 lbs heavier than the 6.4 Hemi. My 2020 2500 Longhorn with the 6.4 has 3047 lbs of payload by comparison.
I have been shopping for a new truck. I am not brand loyal as they all have their issues. But the prices are just ridiculous. On top of that you are paying 6,7,8% interest. NO WAY any trucks are worth the money they are asking today.
Still overpriced I think it's really pathetic this price point you only get a two-way lumbar it should be at least a four-way lumbar support they've been using the same setup ever since 2009 go and look at a 2009 model seat layouts and the controls are the same
JB, quit being a clown. The fact that you would even put a ram 2500 on your channel and call it a cowboy truck is laughable. You say everything is big in the truck except for its payload and actual hauling ability which is really the point of a truck right? Ram 2500s are trash as is most of the rest of the Stalantis products now.
Charged extra for an LSD. Crazy open diff is still an option.

Best diesel on the road. Thanks for another good video. (JB)

We can talk if they ever get down in the lower 60's
They are still overpriced !!
Try buying them in Australia!! I hate how much i paid for mine here but i like it, what can u do!?
Mostly thinks too viehicler tax and copy put into them options are going get you

Dont waste your miney on high trim levels on a pickup truck, get a base trim or one level up, the rest of the tech isn't imortant
It is important to some. But that is why there are different options! All can choose their preference. That’s what’s awesome about the free market. :)

Just picked one up, megacab 3500 limited longhorn. 83k out the door. Cummins
Oh man, no sunroof/panoramic roof? Is it at least available as an option?
I think the Ram looks better than the Chevy.

Has Ram lost their mind? They are practically giving these away now......🤯🤯🤯
😂
Nice try car salesman. 😂
I just bought a used one for a great deal. I could replace the engine and transmission multiple times before I ever sniff the price of a new ram.
But JB R, is the cummings diesel engine optional? Is not standard, the price for the engine alone is $9,795!!!
Cummins
No G.
No 90k does NOT put it back in the conversation. Quite the opposite. Click bait, the average person can’t afford that.
It’s truly the best 1/2 ton marketed as a 3/4 ton.
Why doesn’t GM offer air suspension?
2K payload is crap.

It’s not 2k payload what are you talking about

Come on, JB, I love that two-tone.
They can keep their 100,000 dallar truck😂😂😂
so how much will the dealer sell that truck for ??$$??
Sorry but that is a $50,000 truck all day long. Not worth a penny more.
These trucks should be price at the most 70k fully loaded. that’s just my take really
No way I'd spend a dollar more than $55k. Crazy dumb
GM and Ram too much money for the quality of truck you get.
Ford and all the other brands are overpriced too lol
So you are saying Ford sells quality trucks? LOL!
@@55afishead that's what I picked up from this comment lol.
really the price hike was 2021 to 2022....like 13k in one year, and its a RAM
This is a joke!! $90,000 for a 2500. There’s no way..
This should be 70k with options

I just want to drive a truck!! Absolutely do not need all these feakin option.
This is why JB is driving GMC and not RAM. They are so far behind Ford and GMC,stellantis suck soooo bad😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Too expensive for an outdated design, with a weak chassis and no innovation!!
Same crappy transmission 😂

Nope.
