I ordered the brio on amazon, and then noticed the streamcam a few hours later. I was thinking about canceling my order and getting the streamcam, but this made me more comfortable with betting the brio. I’m interested in the streamcam because I can easily rotate the camera to record stories. This wasn’t mentioned in your video. Can you rotate the video with the others without having to pop it into editing software? Does it matter? TIA

Thanks for the great video. I'm still debating on the StreamCam or cam link and some sort of camera like a gopro or sony a5100. I have a c920 and spending double the amount just to get 60fps from the stream cam doesn't seem like a good investment. If I'm going to spend the money I feel like a bigger upgrade would be better.
Interesting. Some different results from other tests! I've seen the streamcam win by a large margin with lighting, color, and especially autofocus elsewhere. Seen a lot of inconsistencies with different cams. Man. Hard to tell. Really wish I could get the streamcam with a 90 degree fov! Thanks for the review.
His Streamcam wasn't hooked up with it's native USB-C support... He said that his computer doesn't have it so he had to use a converter to dumb it down from USB-C to USB2.0... Thats a lot of bandwidth

I feel like you explain stuff more thoroughly and more dummy proof than some of the bigger channels that just spit out stuff like "Bitrate" and higher end language in streaming and it sort of flies over my head.

Your video is very descriptive and helped me decide which webcam I am going to purchase. I enjoyed the 3-way comparison. I was curious if you would revisit the stream cam if you had a device that would take a usb-c device. I know sometimes those adapters can bottleneck performance and possibly hinder some of the actions of the device plugged in. Aside from that, excellent video, and Please keep up the informative content.

I did read though that if you use a USB C to USB regular connector for the streamcam it can no longer do 60fps did you notice this
Yes, sometimes it does cause problems locking me to 30. Inconsistent though and I can't confirm it's the adapter. Here's a side by side using the Streamcam without the adapter anyway: th-cam.com/video/Ad9l6NUTvoA/w-d-xo.html

with covid the stream cam gos for the same as the Brio...if you can find either of them...with that in mind you still think the old C90 which likly is around 150.00 if you can get it...is still the best bet?

hi, do you have 60p with the adaptator ? cause for me it's impossible, i have test 2 , eveytime "Capture" tell me to connect an usb port 3.0 , thanks
Depends on the camera and resolution settings the higher the resolution typically the lower the framerate. So you may have say a brio set to record in 4k and you wont be able to get full frame capture just high quality
I have studio lights too for content creation and College classes; I´ve been using C920 so far, but I can see the streamcam offers a GREAT performance under a properly lighted environment. Way more natural colors and contrast compared to the Brio and totally beats the C920 and those ugly shines over the face. Great video, but @1:46 is the frame that convinced me to go for the Streamcam. Thank you for helping me decide!

I've been looking... I tried out a bunch of lights and I'd say the best bang for the buck is the Neewer 18" Ring Light (not the advanced version). It's not exactly budget, usually $70-80) but it's really bright.
There's also the Sensyne 10" Ring Light around $35 but it's not that bright.

Great video I went with the Brio ultimately because of its 4k capabilities and it's better 1080p performance in low light.

I haven't found any info about the technical aspect of the brio's three fov settings. If it's just a digital crop or somehow mechanical / optical. I guess the first. Most reviewers and streamers like wide fov's and review with the 90° setting. I'd use one of the two narrower fovs. But if it's just a digital crop that would result in big quality losses. Especially the less light there is.

Unfortunately the config is a bit limited as you don't get access to red/green, no gamma correction and HDR only works with the razer app. So not available in Nvidia Broadcast. Otherwise it's a good webcam.

Be careful USB A has a slower transfer speed than USB C which would be why his stream cam doesn't look as good as it should.
Nice comparison and good video cut, but I would recommend a better microphone for better sound quality

What about the c922 and c930? Any recommendations?
I haven't tried the C930, but the C922 is good and I'd buy it if you can get it cheap ($70 US or less). It is basically a C920 that records at 60fps. C920 can be set to 60fps in Logi Capture, but it really just duplicates each frame.
So if both the streamcam and Brio is the same price ( they are in Canada) Which would you go with?
Brio. It's better in moderate lighting and it has a wider field of view that you can adjust.
Also capable of recording in 4k, one thing that might seem like an issue is it tends to over correct lighting and make you seem a little whiter but in all reality all that means is it’s better in low lighting conditions and you can always adjust the colour correction. Also the better your cameras resolution typically the better your background replacement will be if you are into that.

Why is the brio 200$ if you got it for 150$? Is it because of price gauging or what?
$150 was the price before Covid-19. There was a run on webcams when everybody start working from home, and prices went up to $200-$250.
But isn’t it an issue if c920 can only do 30 FPS? Especially if your streaming the rest of your content in 60 FPS?
Yeah, if you need the frame rate to match, then the Brio or Streamcam are a better idea since they can do 60 FPS.
In my experience, having a 30 FPS webcam on top of 60 FPS gameplay doesn't really make much of a difference though.

Probably the Streamcam, but they're all pretty bad. Any USB microphone placed properly will sound better.
Sorry, but when you compare autofocus you test Brio with sunlight - there are sunspots on the wall (3:45). And with Streamcam you use artificial lights only. It's not the same
when I got my brio, I heard about the stream cam only a day later an I was worried that the stream cam was better but no brio is the best lol
Old video but im about to buy this brio because i notice some delay on c920.
It depends on your computer. On my new PC, the Brio actually has more delay - especially in 4K. Definitely watch some of my newer videos before you comitting to anything imo
How about c922. Better c922 or better c920?
I don't have a C922, but from what I've seen, the C920 has a bit sharper image, but the C922 can do 720 60FPS. The C920 can only go up to 30. (Logi Capture says is can do 60, but it just duplicates each frame).
I'd get the C920 because the image quality is a bit better.
I don't think this review is complete or fair because the Streamcam was not hooked up via a USB-C native connection.. thus losing out at a 20MB's connection comparted to the 5MB's on the other two? The connector dumbs down the Streamcam to 5MB's

Does Brio unlock all obs feature?
Not quite sure what you mean by all obs feature, but you can control most of the settings of the Brio in OBS:
Brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, white balance, backlight comp, gain, zoom, focus, exposure.

I recorded this before prices got completely inflated. But at the time of recording, the Brio was $150 and the Streamcam was $170 on Amazon and Best Buy.
