    Rabea this is probably your best video in my opinion. Right now I’m a solo artist (guitar player) and I’ve been looking for drum samples that sounded good. Obviously the real thing sounds much better, but I don’t have access to a studio or a real drummer. Thanks Bea! Keep doing what you’re doing

      RebelKicks1247 I record drums at my house, I’d love to collaborate with other musicians who need drums for free. I can send the stems to you and you can do what you want with those drums, including replacing/doubling with GGD. ✌🏼

    Try making a production with VST drums in the following way and you will be surprised with the result... Use GGD on multi-tracks and delete the crash, ambience and hit-hat tracks... Then open Addictive drums also in multitrack and leave only the hit hat and ambiance channel...Then look for real crash sounds on the internet and place them manually on other tracks. I usually use two crashes, so I open two mono tracks and put a crash on each track and I set the pan of one to 40% for L and the other 40% for R.....That way you will have a wonderful drum sound, because Addictive Drums is the vst that has the best hit hat and the best ambience and the GGD is the one with the best snare, kick and toms sound, so you will have the best that each VST has to offer and the result is surprising!

    I used to use Steven Slate drums, but I stopped using it that much because it doesn't give you the option of more toms and more cymbals, I currently have an electronic set with 7 cymbals and 5 toms so that was not possible to do with SSD, so now I have to move on, don't get me wrong SSD is what basically got me to use software for drums (I messed around with BFD2 when it came out back in the day but not really that much before SSD. I really like what I'm hearing/seeing here minus the Kontakt, I wish it could run stand alone, but maybe in the future.

    Personally, I prefer Superior Drummer 3 compared to GGD. And this is coming from the biggest periphery fanboy as the next person. I'd argue you can achieve the same sound in S3 as these sounds here, and with the new Tracker feature you can replace drums easily and accurately. and plus every demo i've heard of this sounds the same. it sounds like periphery. which is cool but I'm not trying to sound like periphery, I want to sound like me, you know? I paid the upgrade price from S2 so they would have costed pretty much the same for me, but I went with S3. same sounds and with more tonal variety and way more midi grooves that come with it and available for purchase.

    • @RandyWillcox
      @RandyWillcox 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I tend to agree with much of this. Except, if you don't already have Superior, you're spending $299 for SD3 - then another $140-$180 for Progressive Foundry or whichever. I love my SD3 and the midi and I HAVE invested a lot of money in it. But if I didn't already have SD3, this would get me great modern rock drum tones for a fraction of the money. Just food for thought for guys watching who can't drop a few hundred bucks on SD3. GGD works with the free version of the Kontakt player so you don't have to purchase software to use it with your DAW.

    Slate drums addictive drums and ggd all must haves
    Id say addictive is in the lead but slates upload made waves pun intended and ggd sounds really dope
    I want an option to have it help me take a set pattern and blend it with another and such

    Rabea, please make a song out of that last riff you played on Riff Wars 3 where you went up against Jared Dines and Ryan Bruce. That riff was sick as fuck, man. I've never heard of anything like it and I SURE AS HELL WANT MORE! :D
