- Here I show you how to install removable flexi LED light strips in any RC car using an external 3s battery source and velcro. Get a cool underglow in a color of your choice so you can drive at night without spending a ton.

Very inspired idea. Looks great. I do feel it needs mentioning that hooking up a lipo without a low voltage cutout is risky so you have to be aware of discharge level so you don't ruin the battery.
Brandon Champ great point. I've run it for a while and it barely takes any power (1 h later was at 80%), but good reminder for using a low voltage alarm!!

How does the truggy handle now since you've changed the wheel offset with those prolines / desparado wheel combo. That is a big concern with mine rite now. I love the buggy style wheels stock but appreciate the wheel positive offset even more. In the month off owning this it's never once rolled onto it's lid minus the 1 day I took it to grassy field and did some jumps with it but other than that on flat land even in my subdivision the roads just got repaved bout 3 weeks back and the road is clean and super sticky new asphalt and even loosing slight control at 44 mph the car ended up sliding sideways never rolling over. Thinkn id like to keep the positive wheel offset on my new rim choice whatever they may be. I'm lookn into a set of SRC road crushers. There super wide road tire tread pattern. And a good set of off road tires and wheels. I've been lucky with the last rock crawler to be able to buy aluminum beadlocks for it, think there much better than gluing onto a plastic rim.
I did that with an extra lipo ahead super small one from a 1/18 special and the LED lights for for RC cars off Amazon and started to melt

I've done the same thing in the past I'm used the same exact lights in a Traxxas 1400mah 11.1v 25c make sure lipo doesn't go fully dead tho may mess up battery idk tho for sure I play guitar to 😀
Jonn Geogrge yeah there is no low voltage cutoff on the battery since the lights are drawing power directly from the battery. Good thing to use a low voltage alarm with this!

If lights are 12 volts and lipo is 11 volts, will it over heat lights or lipo? Or will a 4s 14 volt lipo be better?....btw check out my pics of wife's Xmaxx with led lights on hobbytown little rock,AR website....just added them to their pictures

RC Girl ahh ok. I was lookn into the PROLINE bulldog series D8 something or another which was sweet lookn but I really like this 1 2.. It's a shame about the stock body cause it's overall wide design and contours / shape is nice it's just they kinda ruined it with that "abstract like" paint B.S. idk it's kinda horrible actually. I didn't buy it for that, I couldn't pass on the truggy itself ya know!!
RC Girl I see it looks kinda blue already. I'm thinking that's why you went with blue paint hey. Jconcepts makes some nice lookn stuff. I almost bought the losi 8ieght nitro buggy rtr from horizon hobby but chose the sabertooth instead as I needed another good electric, I do miss my nitro and love buggys so next order I believe if there still on sale. Losi on sale for $350 I got more than that into the sabertooth rite now.

Whare did you find thos lights I havr been look for something like that but purple. They are going to go on my purple themed stampede.
Got mine at Walmart in the auto section. Didn't see purple but they had red, white and blue. Check Amazon for different colors

I need suggestion, I have a rc boat with a 6ch reciever but plugging it in to one of the channels the light is dimmer then I would prefer what can I do to help this
If you're running it off your receiver it's getting the voltage from your ESC which is a lot lower than it can handle. These are designed to run off 12v, and your ESC probably runs around 6v so it will be half as bright as it should be. You can install and external BEC to run at a higher voltage. Or run directly off your lipo depending on what cell lipos you run. Make sense?

My Led light strips have a servo connector, how do I connect them to a battery?
There are lots of ways to power lights. If you have a servo connector, you can plug those into your receiver if you have a spare port and that should supply low voltage power (usually 5-6v depending on your BEC). What voltage are your lights rated to? If they are rated higher, sometimes low power wont actually light them up at all. If they are rated to low voltage, then you don't want to be plugging them directly into a battery since they are super easy to burn out. If you still want to power directly from a battery, another option is to switch out the connectors (if you're comfortable soldering), or direct wiring them into the cable from your ESC that plugs into your battery.

Hi! You thinking on the outside of the hull? Yeah that would probably work. I think the led strip (at least the rubbery light portion) is watertight. You might have to use shoe goo or e6000 to glue it down so it doesn't come off the hull. You'll have to figure out how to run the wires to the inside of the hull as well

Rc Girl what should i do if my rc battery is charged but the car isnt turning on?
ItzTNT could be lots of things.... Any more info? Check all the connections? No power to anything? Could be a bad esc, or bad battery, or there is a loose connection.
