That’s just newtonians telescopes. Refractors show a mirror image, unless they have an erecting diagonal, which makes objects appear in the correct orientation.

Got my first scope today. It’s red dot finder is located below the scope, if the scope is connected to its motorized mount. Now I’m trying to figure out, how to mount the scope facing the other way to get the finderscope in upper position. And the finder app to understand that the scopes rear isn’t the front.

Nice capture of a Bald Eagle :P
Yup! Next time I should bring more than a $100 telescope!
Where do i find the Bald Eagle to do this?
They come here every year for conferences.
Great tutorial it was a bit challenging getting the eagle out the zoo and attaching it to the branch but worked great 10/10
Did you return the eagle to the zoo? Or did you keep it? (I keep mine in the kitchen)
Was this about alignment or about bald eagle?
Yes.
Go m it does not show that re thing
I thought that looking through a telescope you'll get a image upside-down...or it depends on size and type of the telescope...
That’s just newtonians telescopes. Refractors show a mirror image, unless they have an erecting diagonal, which makes objects appear in the correct orientation.
Does the finder scope stay oriented when swapping out different lenses?
Yes
How do you use the finder scope I have a telescope that has it but when I turn it on it doesn’t show the red dot / laser
If it’s new there might be a little piece of plastic in the battery compartment. Otherwise you might need a new 2032 battery.

Turn the focus knob until it’s perfectly clear.

@@LearnToStargazethanks! Could you give a link to a product page of the wedge?
Just awsome to see u see it that good. Thats a nice refractor. I use Newts only. Have to get something else fo terrestial viewing.
Is this a 70az?
No, it’s a Gemini II. It’s quite an small telescope, but if you only had $80 it gives okay views of the Moon and planets.
I fr thought its a gun for a moment😅
The moment when Natural resource police see him aiming at a bald eagle “Hello there”
How does this work when I move the red dot moves and I can’t get it to work
Did the eagle steal the batteries and adjustment knobs?
@@LearnToStargaze I looked at it more in depth and I think one of the led lights is not lighting up so I think that’s the issue

Beautiful bald eagle
I love it

What kind of telescope is that
Gemini II from Best Buy
Yo, my dumbass was trying to align my finderscope using… saturn…. At night. Thank you.
Alright i will book my flight there
The hurricane took out the Eagle’s nest, as well as the deck. Need to choose a new alignment bird.
@@LearnToStargaze Aw sad well i guess i will have to cancel the flight
just point your telecope at something and point the finderscope at the same thing
But ideally an eagle.
@@LearnToStargaze yes
I probably couldn’t see an eagle in the red dot, would something like an elephant do?
I think an Elephant would be too large, but don’t birds often sit on their backs?
Don't you think you should be aligning it with something that's not going to move?
The eagle has not moved. He just stares intently.
Pro tip?
Only pros can get an eagle to sit still.

@@benpinder889 we may have an extra one. I’ll check the local aviary.
