Not only is this an incredible video and accomplishment, but it is so uncanny; my wife, daughter, and I also listen to the LOTR soundtrack (as well as the audiobooks) when we hike, camp, and fish in the winds!

Great Job. Commendable dad does what few will do. Traveling with our boys is a blessing. Being in the Winds is even better. Will be there in September for the Crest of the Winds.

Nice Video, Great shots, We, From ILL.head there every year In July for 2 weeks, can never get enough of it, and are always finding new views to see there, Nice to see you made it up to Sapphire Lake, Never seen it,, never knew where the trail was leading up, now we know. seen many of hikers try to find it , when were staying at Hobbs Lake, have one Question.
when in July where you there, We were hiking though there the 7/12 to the 7/18 2014 and noticed the lack of Snow and water levels in the lakes and streams in your Video, compaired to when we went through. Little Seneca trail was knee deep under water at that rock face at the lake edge, the pass on highline trail had 3ft of snow on it in places, Fremont creek was roaring at the Bridge and down the big water slide. almost got swept away crossing back over Fremont creek at lost lake. Just trying to figure out how Quickly things change. Anyway! hope you Had a great time there.

We were there 7/28-8/1. Since I had heard they had deep snow pack this year, I delayed about 5 days (left 26th instead of 21st) to give it more chance to melt off (and that whole week prior was warm and sunny as it turned out) so it would be easier for my son. I was glad to get back there - the Winds is my favorite spot so far.

    How were the skeeters?

If I didn't comment on them in the video they must not have been too bad. I recall having them in a few spots but nothing out of hand. Looks like my son wore a headnet at least twice. My first 2 Winds trips were the thickest. Of course, we purposely wear clothing to protect from skeeters and sun, too, so you'd likely look like a buffet nearly any time if you were in shorts and a t-shirt. ;)
