I Made a Working Camera with Commands!

For this video I creating a working camera in vanilla minecraft by only using commands! This camera is able to take photos of anything within your minecraft world which can then be hanged on a wall just like a painting!

Awesome work, though I think it's still theoretically possible to enhance the color quality of output images by using stairs (this allows to change pixel brightness, you get 4x more colors I guess) in the map rendering area (128x128 square). You can also make a datapack that adds a custom dimension dedicated to map rendering.

custom dimensions just to prevent corrupting default minecraft dimensions so that this camera can work fine on survival world

I don't know what you mean by "enhance the color quality" by using stairs (planks, stairs, fence... all appear the same). You can also just improve the resolution by using a bigger map size! Custom dimension doesn't sound too bad! (Update: Increase the map size doesn't increase the resolution)

Pretty genius,do you have any plans on improving the "resolution" of the output picture that you get in any way? Or is that impossible haha

It's very doable to output a higher resolution image but it would be extremely laggy and take forever to create the image!
