    I need to find a mold expert near me to get my house tested. We are always sick and we get better when we’re away from the house.

      been having health issues for years with no answers. We are running out of options so I think its a good time to get our house tested too.

    I wish I would have seen this video sooner I was living in a house for 4 yrs and kept getting sick from headaches to colds which I never get sick I was losing weight had inflammation throughout my whole body almost losing my vision from inflammation In the eyes I found out that before I moved in the house the house already had excess moisture and he never changed the filters in 4 yrs so there was mold spores flying around the house the brick interior was black gray and white 😢 I took pics and the landlord still denied and now he trying to sue me for moving out I had so many infections that turned Into sepsis which is a life threatening condition I almost died and some of the mold was hidden because he remodeled the whole house and painted over the mold

      I am having the same issue, I live in SW Cape Coral and since the hurricane Ian passed by, it removed more than half on the shingles on the roof, and almost a year later they patched it with a roof tarp, so all that time it rained and leaked on the ceiling and started to create mold, at first of course I didn’t know about this, but me and my son started to get sick, in my case I would have a runny nose and allergies while I sleep, and my son would cough the whole day, we took him to the doctor a lot of times and they would always give him a prescription of allergies, two types of pumps and nasal spray, so it wasn’t until I started noticing water spots and mold spots all over the ceiling and vents area that I started to suspect it was something associated with mold, so I consulted it with the realtor in charge of the property but they only painted on some spots (not everything) (but I also have pictures of everything before painting) so I started the process to buy a home because everyone always keeps saying to get my family out of here, so I bought my house and when we told the realtor in charge of this rental she told me that since I’m breaking contract before time I have to pay two more months and that they will keep my safety deposit also, but now I’m going to get this home inspected by a licensed person so I can have a report before I move out and give them the keys so I have proof and sue them if the landlord doesn’t want to come with a good agreement with me.

    To simplify it, the growth you see on random areas comes from a lack of controlling relative humidity.

    Dust doesnt need droplets to form. When the humidity is 75-80% (or higher) its high enough where the humidity becomes the "moisture" to complete the trifecta (moisture, food, oxygen)

    • @poeticriffraff
      @poeticriffraff 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Would be good to mention that dust particles and mold spores have an opposite charge, and are attracted to each other. As soon as the humidity becomes high or windows or metal pipes condense (or even corners of walls in extreme cases) the mold thats already within the dust colonizes quickly and easily.

      I believe it’s actually moisture, food, and temperature. Mold won’t grow without the right temperature, and it will grow just fine in a sealed bag as long as there’s moisture in the bag it’ll grow

      @RyanLeague and it's moisture, food and oxygen. But you're right mold spores become inactive in colder temperatures

    I already know that I have mold. What do I do now? I'm very poor. This is not my house, it is owned by a family member who does not give a care about mold.
    She says that if there is mold then we are to blame because we don't clean the house enough. It's literally coming through the drywall. Her husband flooded the house three times before he died of Alzheimer's.
    I am lucky to have a place to stay, but I need to know if there's any way that I can make this house a little bit more bearable. I can't stand breathing mold. It's in the air ducts it's in the attic it is in the walls it is absolutely everywhere. Black mold growth is so obvious.
    I am at a loss. What do I do?!

    I don't see the amount of mold in older open home's that I see in newer tight homes.

    • @HomePerformance
      @HomePerformance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a real challenge in new homes (all new homes are legally required to be more airtight for energy code), AND in older homes that are being renovated and improved. The home is a system.

    And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27)
    The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
    And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15)
