Do you still have mold in your house? My mom refused to do anything about the mold in the drywall behind the tiles in the bathroom, because it's "too expensive" & she feels fine (although heavily medicated). She said I just need back on antidepressants, which I took for a few months last year (I took the only ones that ever worked for me) & they did nothing!

How did you use the bentonite clay and activated charcoal? How often and how much for each dose? How long did it take you to get better? I'm using oils of oregano and garlic in coconut oil, ACV, a neti pot, xlear nasal spray with grapefruit seed extract and xylitol for about 6 weeks. I'm a bit better, but still get tired very easy. I hope the clay and charcoal will do the trick and look forward to your response!

I just switched from months of activated charcoal to bentonite clay. I THINK it is working much better vs the mold and heavey metals like methyl mercury from candida.

I was just diagnosed with mold toxicity. The gliotoxin is 8 times what it should be. I have been told over the years by several doctors that they have no idea what to do with me anymore. I went to the Cleveland Clinic one year ago today and was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago. I am thrilled to finally find out what's been going on for the last 15 years. Everything finally makes sense. Thank you for educating and helping others heal naturally.

Thank you for saying “It’s not in your head.” I was so sick, bedridden, had to quit work, doctors gave me every test, nothing showed up, so they said it was in my head and I was delusional and sent me to a mental hospital and got a court order forcing me to take schizophrenic meds. I got worse and almost died. Took me three years to find out it was black mold in my body. Finally found a Dr who can help me. There’s a lot more to the story-it was a horrible nightmare, to say the least.

I was diagnosed with "allergies" after years of dealing with these all of symptoms and prescribed benadryl and over-the-counter allergy meds. After a couple years, I got a depression diagnosis and was put on anti-depressants, but nothing to address my host of physical symptoms like burning, itchy eyes, constant congestion, bloating, severe gut and digestive issues, cold hands, numbness in my extremities, brain-fog, and debilitating fatigue. After my depression diagnosis, all of these symptoms were attributed to "depression." Eventually, I started getting painful, swelling sores in the back of my throat that made it almost impossible to swallow and caused burning pain. I would also wake up every day with body aches, stiffness, and headaches. Was getting "the flu" every 5-6 weeks. Went to the doctor again and was told it was "allergies" again or "possibly hormonal." Ugh! Anyway, finally figured out it there was mold in my workplace and am starting this detox journey. Thank you for the very helpful video!

The last time I went to my Dr. Was because I was fatigued all the time and had this awful smell, like wood burning whenever I inhaled through my nose. She took blood tests to check my vitamin levels, which all came back normal. No explanation for either symptom. When I asked why am I so tired all the time and what to do about this smell in my head, I was told they didn't know and to get a moisturizing nasal spray. So now I rely on yt like Dr. Ax and many others to help me. It's a battle for sure. Hang in there, everyone. Don't give up. Persevere no matter how long it takes to get better. After 2 years I kept getting sick with all those symptoms and chronic sinus infections. It was becoming seriously debilitating. I was the having the worst problem. Others were not. Eventually noticed regular fuzz looks like lint. Bought a test kit and had it tested. Off the charts mold. I was immediately accommodated when I brought that to bosses attention. Too extensive in all buildings to fix but it's kept moderate with air filters and cleaning. My symptoms are tolerable. Your recommendations are all used by me and do help.

I’ve been dealing with mold, Candida, Lyme, CEBV etc. Western Medicine has CONTINUED to fail me and my family. I’ve seen about 60 doctors in the matter of 8 years and you’re totally right, lots of diagnosis with no known etiology. Which is a joke in itself. Their answer is to load me up on med after med w continuing multiplying symptoms. It makes me fearful for or future but happy that functional medicine is becoming more mainstream year after year ~ the flicker of light for our country. A big one for me after getting out of the environment~ which I thought would make a huge difference~ (I actually got worse) is realizing that if you have mold you also most definitely have Candida and possibly varying other parasites. Serious cleansing and opening pathways is essential!

I had big results with vegeable soup detox eating some fish. Supplementing cloves, black wall nut and worm wood. I also drank a lot of water (even more) so I would wake up during the night. I would then consume bentonite clay (to keep it removed from other foods) after doing this for 4 days I got heavy healing crisis reactions that I managed with milk thistle and hot detox baths. I got two huge effects from this process. I stopped getting viruses and even when I got it it would barely be evident before that if develop a virus every few weeks and even cold often felt like flu. The other big effect was reduction in chronic restless legs and severe muscle pain in calf's. 36 year old guy.

I found that fungus was growing in my sinuses after removing a fair amount of black mold from my grandmothers home. It was causing horrible sinus breath too.
I started using high quality EVO in my NielMed sinus rinse squeeze bottle. About a Tbs or so. I also began to diffuse tea tree oil and inhale through my nose. I also learned that mycotoxins can reproduce in your blood if your PH becomes too acidic so I started consuming apple cider vinegar and backed off all refined sugars and high carb foods. Finally about 3 to 4 months later, the headaches and chronic fatigue finally went away.

I have been living in a home with mold for almost 4 years. We have had the ceiling leak so badly that it filled 50 gallon totes (4 of them about 2/3 full) with GREEN water. We have a drop ceiling with fiberglass type squares. It has leaked several times to a lesser degree and now there is visible mold in the ceilings, on the walls and in the base boards. When it rains my carpet gets wet from inside the wall.
I rent, and there is no protection in WI. for renters that makes the landlord fix these problems. I wish that this would change. I have COPD, asthma, mold and other allergies, and had lung cancer 6 years ago and had part of a lung removed. I am sick all the time. I am tired all the time. I have a son who has had to have several procedures to expand his esophagus (it was 5mm) due to ALLERGY exposure long term - and this makes me sick. The health department has been in my home and he never fixed anything he was supposed to - but the worst is that they said there is nothing they can do to make him fix the mold.
As of about a week ago I began moving out - finally! I have to leave almost everything I own behind but I have to say that my health had an immediate improvement. SO much better!! I was never able to have someone check the house - as I could not afford it.
People should be protected with renting when it comes to mold.

Depending on where you live and if you rent. Call and let the home owner let him know the situation. If he does nothing you can call your local codes department and report the landlord and inform them of the black or green mold problem. Be ready to move tho as I heard black mode is very hazardous and expensive to get ride of and codes might just give you a day to move if it's really bad. My family and I spent a whole year in a rental sick all the time till when we finally found the sources of the black mold. It was the showerhead, behind the walls of the bathroom. Plus the area below the bathroom in the basement which was near the furnace which was being spread via air to all rooms whenever the heating system was used. Which in my area is like 8 months out of the year. We move and all the symptoms disappeared. Good luck.

This is a bit long but worth reading. I worked in a basement of a school. When I entered this building I felt like I was suffocating, it smelled like the building was shut up for years on many mornings and my voice was hoarse all the time. At the end of my work day I was so tired I wanted to sleep, it was draining to drive home, my whole body felt like a weight and by the end of the day it actually hurt my mind to think. Many of the kindergarten children had constant runny noses every morning. We went through tissue boxes galore. I was told by a custodian there was mold all through the elevator shaft. The school was located in a watershed area. Seems the mold doesn't affect everyone so no one does anything about it. I left that school and work in a different school now. I don't feel like I did then. No hoarseness, chronic fatigue in the evening and yes, my doctor claimed my symptoms were depression. Some doctors so ignorant and uneducated. Side note-- A problems like gout I diagnosed with the help of the internet. And I had another doctor tell me I was stupid for not giving my daughter milk. A test I had to demand, to obtain a doctor order, to prove she was lactose intolerant. Just a few of several incidents I have had with doctors. No wonder they claim depression is widespread, seems that is what they tell many they must have rather than actually probe more to find out what is truly happening.

Unfortunately the main reason why schools are not better at educating kids is because of the toxic environment in most of them. And administrators ignore it mostly because of the expense of decontamination.

LA Dama De Nadie What a wonderful thing to report! I hope you are still depression free. I know how awful it can be to suffer from that.
Also, make sure you ozonate your house. There's 20gram (20000mg) units on Amazon now for about $100. You use them with a box fan. Shock ozone treast each room for 1 to 4 hours each. Do this 2 or 3 times in a single week, and all infestations should be dead. You'll feel enormously better, as an unhealthy environment will keep reinfecting you... especially the cleaner you get. So to avoid going 2 steps forward and 3 back, make sure you ozonate your home. Turn off electronics while doing it (and don't turn them on for at least an hour afterwards), but make sure they get ozonated, too

LA Dama Danadie, I am interested in your comment about the garlic, you didn't really say if you lost weight and I'd love to know how you prepared that mixture ,please.. Did you eat three cloves of garlic and then wash it down with lime and honey ? Or did you mix it altogether and drink? Please elaborate on the details, I tried to Google it because Google knows almost everything, until I need to Google something for myself...

Dr. Axe, your informational videos are appreciated! I have been experiencing symptoms that led me to believe that I have MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome). I’ve been struggling on and off for four years with respiratory issues, shortness of breath, throat tightness, a multitude of food allergies and reactions, anaphylactic type reactions, on top of random neurological issues, and recurrent infections. I found the diagnosis after many doctors couldn’t tell me why my body was acting this way. The #1 trigger? Mold toxicity!
I tested my home for mold and it was found in all rooms tested. Now, I’m taking the steps to heal my body. Thank you for your research!!

@kimberlym2341 I just found out I have mold spores in my home, and it is expensive to remediate. Clothes, bed, walls, carpet, shoes omg It's like you have to start all over or move. You have to either hire a mold remediation company or the cheap route that may help. True Hepa filter vacuum that removes 99% spores, mop everyday, deep clean your house with cleaners that can remove mold, air purifier that uses a HEPA filter, have your air ducks, low mold diet, activated charcoal and there is more. Just start here.

This video was awesome! I have the same symptoms. As I cannot use any manufactorized cleaning supplies, I always use white vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, soap, and water to cleaning the bathtub, shower, and my home. However, since my allergy has started, (I did not know that mold caused it as it has coincided with seasonal allergy) I intended to clean everywhere by rubbing alcohol, peroxide hydrogen and then I feel the symptoms get to calm down for a short time.
The other symptoms that I am experiencing are choking, short breath, brain fog, no concentration, fatigue, nausea, increasing heartbeat, and then I am experiencing anxiety. I am experiencing constantly skin burning as skin rash. Also, I have a hot flash, eye irritation, mucus membranes, hoarse voice, feeling all my airways are burning. Also, I am lethargic, irritated, and have digestion problems, and I FEEL MY BRAIN HAS BEEN PUT INSIDE A PLASTIC BAG AND THE SEQUENTIAL COMPRESSION DEVICE IS RUNNING AND COMPRESS MY BRAIN. Those all happened only when I am home. I have seen black mold in the wall and clean it out, but still, nothing got changed. The building manager has not had anything though it is their responsibility per the lease that I have signed.
By the way, based on the traditional Persian Medicin, I burned Oregano and thym in my home.
Appreciate your beneficial video and increasing the awareness.

Well research I have done indicates it worsens preexisting conditions ie: your seasonal allergies or if you have asthma or sensitive skin etc. already so I think that's why some symptoms go unnoticed people just think oh I always had this but suddenly allergy symptoms are not just once or twice a year they are year round then it's probably not just pollen it's something else.

I’ve been exposed to water damaged buildings all my life, including teaching in a flat roofed building. I know many teachers that have gotten cancer and most died. I never knew the connection with teachers. I’m trying to get out of my condo now. In addition, I’m certain my adult son has mold toxicity. He has every symptom, and their windows are painted shut! No fresh air. Thank you for this information. I didn’t know about the throat issue. I’ve had that for several months now.

The doctors used to tell me all the time I was being crazy, "its all in your head." I lived in an apartment for 8 years, not knowing that was the source cause to all my E.R visits I had, I lost my gallbladder and had a long list of health issues, while I lived there, were connected to black mold.. Also during the duration of living there, I was pregnant with my youngest son while living there... It was after I moved from there, i made this connection. I haven't lived there in 6 years, but all the symptoms you said, I have. Plus more sensitivities I have,
I can't have any sulfate, sulphate, sulfites of any form, I have become allergic to eggs, dairy and my favorite fruit pineapple.
But anyhow, I have been researching on my own and have tried many things, but due to how sensitive my system is to many things, what things I have tried that were supposed to be gentle were extremely harsh..
Thank you for all this info, I am so happy to know this and making better connections about my brain fog.

I also have neurological issues, depression, lethargic, sores in my nose, ear and throat issues, scalp isues, acid reflux, hair loss & dark marks on my neck. I have been to the doctor several times and they do nothing and look at me like I am crazy for suggesting I have such a thing. I have had all the signs going on 4 years now. It has destroyed my life. I walked into a walk in clinic and they said they cant do test for potassium levels or mold toxicity. I am sure I am severely low in pottasium.

I had Rosecea on the right side cheek area on my face for over 2 years. I would also get a bump or two daily anywhere from my lower neck up which resembled the look and symptoms of a mosquito bite. I completely went Keto and IF about 13 months ago thinking that this would help my skin problems. Eating plenty of leafy greens daily, usually around 7 cups or more. I also consume grass fed beef, butter, eggs, etc. My skin did improve, but I couldn't get rid of the rosecea or the bumps. I found a video that talked about tea tree oil and also grapefruit seed oil and how great they were on removing mold from inside the body.
I mixed a couple drops of the tea tree oil with a tablespoon of organic coconut oil which was melted into a small plastic pill container I purchased from Walmart. I let it cool so it would form back into a solid and started rubbing that on my face twice a day. It certainly got rid of the rosecea and bumps within a day or two, but severely dried out my skin and I started getting zits which was very rare for me.
I decided to try doing the same thing but with grapefruit seed oil since the data I was researching said it doesn't have a drying effect like tea tree oil does and it worked. It got rid of the rosecea, bumps and it didn't dry out my skin. Now I just rub it on my neck and face a couple of times a week and I don't get any rosecea or bumps unless I go too long in between applications. If a bump appears, I simply rub some on the area and it goes away within a half hour or so and it stops itching. So glad their are people like Josh Axe, Dr. Eric Berg, etc...helping folks like me :)

I'm suffering from mold illness along with migraine headaches (was chronic, now episodic) and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS). I have moved and gotten rid of most my belongings. Synthetic fragrance in laundry detergent, softern, dryer sheets, perfume, shampoo, deodorant, dish soap, other cleaners, cigarette/vape smoke, etc. make me have an instant burning in my head, sometimes lungs and if exposure is long enough, it an trigger a migraine. It's very sensitive and usually when I take a walk outside the air just constantly smells like laundry detergent.
Yes, I've had doctors tell me that it's all in my head. I am now working with a naturopathic doctor who is very supportive. I'm improving everyday, but wanted to post because anyone who reads this --- I would encourage you to significantly reduce your synthetic fragrance exposure -- especially laundry. Wool dryer balls and essential oils are a great replacement. Febreeze or other sprays are chock full of chemicals that are terrible to breathe in and if you have mold issues, chemical fragrance is not your friend! Again -- EOs that are pure and not cut with synthetics are great and beneficial.
    Best of luck with recovery!

Your Majesty Add organic, preferably wild, oregano to your foods. Organic garlic, too. Both will help, and are affordable if you look around.
To the best of your ability, scrounge up the money and get an ozonator for your house. It won't help with lead, but it will help with biotoxins such as mold and cyanotoxins. They clean up residences immeasurably. Amazon now has units for $100 that output 20g (20,000mg) per hour that you use with a box fan. Well worth it. That's what I recently gave a friend that basically lives in poverty, and her life has improved immeasurably. It's perhaps the most important step you can take, as an unhealthy environment will keep re-infecting you, preventing all other remedies from working.

Actually, yes. I saw a black mold with my own eyes at my friend's house. We live in Florida. First of all, it smells musty inside the house and everything else in the house. People too. The mold was found on the wall, close to the floor. when workers took the plank off the wall. Underneath it, there was black mold. So, they treated the wall, painted it and the smell was gone. So, and allergic symptoms in people who lived in that house were gone too. My friend had very painful, red pimples showing time to time on her face. She had nose that was chronically swollen inside and leaking. Doctors said, she had some kind of rino cold. But yes, the black mold can hide inside the walls of the house and do not show for a long time. My friend was lucky that they discovered the mold on time. Thank you for your remedies. They will be very helpful for treating mold conditions. But the most important, to find the mold where it's hiding in the house and remove it.

You must always be cautious about your environment regarding any water intrusion into the building/home. There can be risk for pregnant women exposed to mycotoxins.

gypsum board (drywall) is mined and therefore contains molds and other spores
BLACK MOLD source is principally the gypsum
FIRE CODES require using gypsum board for all walls and ceilings MOST buildings are experiencing mold issues from:
    1) gypsum board
    2) HVAC (Heating and Air Conditioning ducts)
Get an OZONE machine and run it all the time you are out of the house
    OZONE kills molds, spores, bacteria

I wonder why the Dr did not mention that it's very dangerous to clean if your not properly equipped and or trained. Most people don't know that mold especially black mold gets deep into the wall structure and if really bad needs to all come out. Spraying will only alleviate the problem for a while. Reason in my area codes department requires home owner to professionally remove the mold as it has to be properly contained so it doesn't spread to other areas of the house or on furniture.
PS: at least 3 times a year disconnected your shower heads & place in a disposable container with raw apple cider vinegar that has mother in it & hydrogen peroxide let it soak for at least an hour then rinse. Why because yes they're one of the main culprit of mold growth and the spreading thru water molecules to the walls and ceiling and everything in that bathroom moisture settles on including our bodies. Found this out thru our kids pediatrician and a government information poster in the doctors office.

The only way to effectively remove Black mold or mold of anykind is to have someone come in and do mold remediation. Which means they come in and remove the areas which it is present.. Theres only one thing I know of that actually kills Mold. And its not bleacb, vinegar,or ammonia... Its industrial strength hydrogen peroxide.. Which will cause severe chemical burns if it comes In contact with skin. It definitely isnt your everyday brown bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide.
I have a waterproofing company which I have to do mold remediation from time to time.. Do not scrub dry mold . wear a respirator...not a cheap paper one. An actual respirator with the right cartridges .. Wear gloves goggles and a tyvek suit.

Thanks for the video! An apartment I lived in here in Vegas was infested w mold in the bathroom to the point the studs disintegrated up a foot!
I never had medical issues until I moved into that apartment and now I have severe, chronic asthma and allergies that’s put me in a coma and multiple hospital visits. Along w fungal polyps that developed in my nostrils and had to have surgery and now need another one. It’s been nonstop since 2015!

My vision is all blurry, too, despite numerous visits to the eye doctor telling me I see fine. I'm so scared about this. What do I do with my house? I know it has numerous leaks.
