doesn't actually matter everything is cross realm you get phased into layers with other horde players along side your alliance its actually rare to run into your own server in the open world outside of cities on retail

I've never played WoW ( played other mmo's ) and rarely watched Asmon live on twitch, but the past week i've been binging on these WoW videos from Asmon. This video was pretty cool showing them all uniformed in position and that edited music video

This reminds me buying (2021 spring) Shadowlands and playing WoW after years of being away. I wanted to enjoy the story and if you remember how you start the Shadowlands? You walk with NPC, so I walked. One dude rode past me and turned around to say "Really?" I responded "Really, what?". He said, he has not seen people doing RP for a long time :-) Wished me good luck and told I will enjoy this expansion. So I did. Did all solo content there was + some dungeons with randoms. Quit again, since I dont want to commit again, I know what it all was. I played from Vanilla to Wrath of the Lich King. Good times. High end rogue pve and pvp (S1 gladiator), switched to Hunter and was honored to wear Thoridal - awesome times. This thing ripped!

this guild is sick. during shadow lands you would see them absolutely everywhere and they where always ganking people so i started to RP to. i got my rogue and then just spent hours on hours running around in the world and ganking them. it was the most fun i have had in wow for a long while. just RP around pretending to be a hero and fighting the scourge.

@@mridiot8430 This refers to the server-wide event, the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj, which is no longer achieveable due to being a reward given exclusively to the first raid group at the time to complete it, The event evolved through different phases and included the gathering of war supplies by both Alliance and Horde players, epic and hardcore quest chains for the elite guilds, and ultimately a long server wide war at the Scarab Wall in southern Silithus to be the first guild in. Tldr; basically a small small tiny miniscule fraction of players achieved this making it extremely rare. Also consider this was a long time ago (around the year 2006) so I'm sure a lot of the big diks that did get it have moved on from WoW.
80% of guilds i've been in have almost just been there for guild perks and mounting faster. It's embarrassingly hard to get a group of people to be friends and like doing similar content at similar difficulty.

This is why I play on a private tbc classic server. I got reported on my dwarf pally in classic because I RP'd and in a MC run I was pugged into, they didn't like the fact I used /ready instead of saying ready, and I replied to everything in character.
If i remember right, Ultima Online was the ultimate in RP support. Every server was actually a bit different back in the days due to the RP communities for whom the GM sometimes placed custom assets that didnt exist on other servers. I think to remember that there was a guild roleplaying as Orcs and the GM`s turned off the regular orc spawns in a normally npc orc camp so that they can populate it themselves. And if some random jackass troll (they were very rare back in the days) was harrasing some established Roleplaying communites they got GM killed and teleported away. THAT`s community service.

They won't really do anything about bots. Some of their investors, as well as employees, do bot farming to make off book income.

80% of guilds i've been in have almost just been there for guild perks and mounting faster. It's embarrassingly hard to get a group of people to be friends and like doing similar content at similar difficulty.
Very few people still have the respect and admiration for a Scarab Lord as Asmon has. Great video.

This is why I play on a private tbc classic server. I got reported on my dwarf pally in classic because I RP'd and in a MC run I was pugged into, they didn't like the fact I used /ready instead of saying ready, and I replied to everything in character.

If i remember right, Ultima Online was the ultimate in RP support. Every server was actually a bit different back in the days due to the RP communities for whom the GM sometimes placed custom assets that didnt exist on other servers. I think to remember that there was a guild roleplaying as Orcs and the GM`s turned off the regular orc spawns in a normally npc orc camp so that they can populate it themselves. And if some random jackass troll (they were very rare back in the days) was harrasing some established Roleplaying communites they got GM killed and teleported away. THAT`s community service.
