This and the transmog competitions are bar none the best content that Asmongold makes. Such simple premises, yet they are so entertaining.
I actually got into his channel by randomly getting a transmog competition suggestion; automatically played when i was doing some work. Funniest thing is ive never played wow, but asmongold has become one of my fav content creators
transmogs are better content, this in the end is just a flexfest, while those require actual inventive and not just free time to waste in the game farming stuff.

I'm the nelf hunter who got dequeued on the swift zulian panther (the bane of my existence btw). I was dequeued in the mount off from April last year on the winterspring frostsaber, and did 20 days of dailies to obtain it in preparation for today. I have now stabled my army of alts outside ZG and will be farming it into oblivion until I have the panther.

I hope someday asmon will do another completionism week where he tries to get every mount in wow/gear/achievements. I feel like it would be really hype to watch and he can even make it a charity event kind of like the worlds first castle nathria was an otk event. I really enjoyed that event and was fun to I think all the viewers especially with the animal segment seeing wholesome asmon
Not sure if it's in the video but he said he'll go back to grinding in WoW since he's fallen so far behind haha. He also joked about not stopping the stream nex time until he gets the Mogushan Vault sword transmog.
He said that if he did do completion streams he wouldn't do a week, but a month.

omg, this was so fun to watch. honestly, these mount offs always show me how I don’t have as many mounts as I want. it makes me want to farm for more as a side hobby. i remember back in TBC when I farmed for the talbulks, it was tedious but Nagrand was also so fun and open.

@@Ripcraze No i understand i wasn't belittling or anything I've seen plenty of other mount off competitions and i wish i could but it would take ages to get high level then another for mounts and gear. I fully understand. I still get shocked when asmongold admits to not having some like in this video. But random invites from asmon to players or players to asmon because if they ask to be on there then they know that asmongold is not there for fun. Its too prove your game worth.
These mount offs and transmog competitions are the best content in modern retail WoW. Please keep them going Asmon!
I feel like if it’s in the beginning of the mount off (maybe within 4 rounds) someone who would get kicked for not having the called mount could stay in a bit longer by getting on a mount Asmon doesn’t have lol!
These are so good Asmond, thanks for the experiences. I've spent years on WoW but stopped playing after Burning Crusade. I remember being a level 18 undead mage when Warsong Gultch released, with the entrance being in the barrens. This brings me back man.

I always thought the rules were stupid at the end. If your mount gets matched the power should switch, you're just constantly casting mounts time after time hoping the other dude doesn't have it.

I have stopped playing WoW more than 10 years ago, after being addicted to it for some 5 years. Watching these videos I feel like an addict staring into the abyss, one step away from falling in.
No other game has ever had this effect on me, not even close.

The way asmon does the final two is flawed. The person who goes first will always win.
Let's say person 2 has basically every mount in the game, but person 1 goes first. Person 1 will cycle through his entire library of mounts until getting the one or two that person 2 doesn't have. He will always be ahead in points. Once person 2 goes, he will get his one point easily, then be tied with person 1 who will cycle through his whole collection again.
The way it should work is it should rotate once the person gets on the mount the other has. Example, person 1 gets on a mount, person 2 has that mount. No point. Now person 2 gets on a mount, and person 1 doesn't have it. One point to person 2, but it switches to person 1 to pick a mount.
The way you run it is unfair and always, always benefits the person to get the first point. No matter who has more mounts. The first person always wins

Transmog comps for example is really good because of his knowledge of almost every item and with that comes the fun part where he talks shit to clowns. Thats what i mean
Raven Lord took me like years to get. In the past you needed a Druid Attuned to summon the boss and I was a Warrior… I had like every Druid able to do that on my friend list… Oh boy, they already knew what was happening when I mensaged them 🤣

I get that he always organizes mount offs in AQ because of the qiraji battle tanks. But wouldn't It be fun, for a change, to organizes one in an area with water, to show off acquatic mounts? I think that would be fun
The main reasons he does it in AQ is because of the 40 man raid size, so that they don't get interrupted.

Anzu is the first mount I actively farmed after Baron's Charger. After that I farmed the Nether drakes. Not a single mount after that really excited me.

He’s been washed up playing wow these days he watches more react vids than farming mounts. On top of that everyone just farmed all the reskin mounts to beat him didn’t even have to use the super rare mounts.

Not going to lie, I really only touched a bit of wow in the beginning of shadowlands but nothing feels more at home than asmon on wow. Hopefully the game can keep up to his standards because he’s outgrowing the game at a rapid pace

never played wow . what does he mean 1 chance out of 2000% ? does it mean after killing the boss theres a drop rate after that ?
No you have a 1 in 2000 chance of the mount dropping. Most of the time bosses drop armor or weapons/trinkets. Those have high drop rates 10-100%. So out of 2000 boss kills 1 would drop the mount.

ive played hearthstone for almost 6 years and never had the desire to touch wow (even though being a huge fan of fantasy mmorpg) until watching a mount comp couple years back and seeing all the different mounts to farm out. asmon will make you want to play a game he enjoys
There was a bug up until recently that when a hunter tamed Raven Lord it would mail all the loot to them and because you technically didn't kill the boss it would respawn almost instantly, no doubt many players abused this bug. And yes, it's been fixed.

the rules in the final 2 make no sense. If player A starts, he keeps guessing until he gets a point. Then B goes until he gets a point. B can never pull ahead, he's always tied or down by 1. Instead, you should have A guess, if B has it it becomes B's turn. Etc.
I wish he did something with the random mount button.
