    By far the most informative and concise review of this board on TH-cam. Ive been looking for a new board for a while now and was leaning towards a Ride Super Pig or War Pig but after chatting on line and over the phone with Angelo, he steered me towards this board based on my needs, age, weight and skill level. I demo'd one at Tamworth, loved it and could have bought one there and then in the shop, but because I appreciated all of the effort S2AS put into answering my questions and explaining technical details I was unaware of, I dedcided to buy it from them instead.

    Got one when they came out, solid board and very stable in most conditions. The only negative (for me) is it’s stiffness makes it hard for jibbing features.

    I am 6’4 215lbs with a size 12 boot. Would you recommend a 161W or 164W?

    Awesome review! How would you rate Goliath+, Beyond Medals and Thunderstorm models in terms of carving, dampness and maneuvering. Not sure if there are other directional all-mountain in Bataleon Line-up. Thanks!

    • @S2AS
      @S2AS  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Thunderstorm has the backseat inserts that help a lot, so if you wanted the board for just pow and carving it would be that, However, I feel the Goliath Plus is a way better all-mountain snowboard. the Thunderstorm is here: s2as.com/products/bataleon-thunder-storm

      With the Goliath plus I personally run the Bataleon Astro Bindings but I have 3 stand outs.
      1, Bataleon Astro - s2as.com/products/2024-bataleon-astro-asymwrap-mens-snowboard-bindings
      2, Union Force - s2as.com/products/2024-union-force-snowboard-bindings
      3, Bataleon 20 Year LTD bindings - s2as.com/products/2024-bataleon-20-y-mens-snowboard-bindings
      I hope this helps you choose dude. Happy new year from us at S2AS.

    Would you consider the Goliath+ or Goliath for an intermediate rider that’s going to veil Colorado I was injured and couldn’t ride and my old board is too small (twinpig) I want to start getting more into park too and bigger jumps

    I'm 180cm and float between 79-83kg. Boot size 10.5 or 11 US. What size should I go for? Also, I'm not sure if I want to go for the Goliath or Goliath+. I want to start learning a lot more butter tricks and the Goliath may be better (less stiff)? Currently I love my 2015/16 Goliath Plus, which is way before all these new tech, but I find it too stiff to learn to butter.

      I just got my goliath plus in the 161w. I haven't used it yet but feel like it might be too big. The reason I got it is because the sizing suggestion on the bataleon website recommends 161w for US size10-13. I'm 5' 10.5" and 185lbs. Size 10 boot. I might get another opinion before I unwrap it.

    Loved the review! Its really got me questioning my decisions now 😅 Im a newer intermediate rider who plans on progressing my skills alot this year, and im buying my first board after renting for 3 years. I just ordered the whatever board, but now im seriously considering sending it back and getting this Goliath+. I like to ride fast when I can, and I dont really plan on doing that much park. Im in the midwestern america so we dont get alot of snow, its usually made and is pretty much frozen for most of the season. We do occasionally get powder and I also travel a little bit. Do you think the goliath would be the better future proofing option? Or should i save my money with the whatever. I also get a discount since im a tech so the price jump isnt a issue. I appreciate the help if you respond!

      @S2AS ok ill take your word for it! I appreciate the quick response. I'm sure I'll love my whatever board, its just that goliath looks really appealing 😂

    If the Super Tubes and Carbon Layup are laid out directional, won't the Goliath+ ride completely differently switch? Would I have to go to the Evil Twin+ for a comparable board that rides the same in both directions?

    • @S2AS
      @S2AS  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So it’s a directional twin and “completely different” no. Yes I will be slightly different as it’s not a true twin. But it’s mainly the flex pattern 80% of snowboarder would not even notice the difference. But still it would be different yes.
      If you want a true twin then the Evil Twin Plus would be the one.

    What do you think of the bataleon thunderstorm for Al mountain powder board how does it compare to this board?

    • @S2AS
      @S2AS  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the thunderstorm is a killer all-mountain snowboard, a little more set back so has a better uplift in deep pow.

  • @chasemcguire674

    What would u rather ride the camel two or thunderstorm trying to decide which one I should get

    • @S2AS
      @S2AS  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well that would really depend on my style of riding but if I wanted a little more all mountain I would go thunderstorm. If I was really pushing powder then the camel for sure. But I personally thing the thunderstorm will come most riders for sure. I hope this helps, please subscribe and share our channel.

    Is there a huge different between this model and last years? I know it’s a tweaked version she and different overall shape but what’s the translate to when riding?

    • @S2AS
      @S2AS  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Shape is the main part of the change is subtle but better, In riding terms a lot of riders will never know the difference because they would never ride both boards. If you already have a G+ Then I would say stick with it as it's not enough to change. the turning radius seems tighter on the 2024 so helps with big low down Carves. - here is the 2024 model: s2as.com/products/2024-bataleon-goliath-mens-snowboard-1

      park - Evil Twin PLus all day long it's a twin twin. As for size 157cm - s2as.com/products/2024-bataleon-evil-twin-plus

      @@S2ASthanks for the reply! But isnt 157 cm too short?, i was thinking about the 159W

    • @S2AS
      @S2AS  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not at all, the evil twin is a true twin tip so a 157cm would be perfect for your weight and the park. If you want the Goliath plus then you would need to push up a size for sure as the board is an all mountain board and has a directional flex.
      So evil twin 157cm and Goliath plus push up one size. I hope this helps.

      @S2AS  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No definitely not that’s way too big for your weight.
      I would go 158W if you really feel you need more board then push up to the 161w but remember triple base rides 3cm bigger than other boards in powder. I hope this helps you make the choice if you are near us pop in to our shop.

      @@chasemcguire674 I personally love it! it's a great board if you don't want to go down that full-on (Volume shifted snowboard) route, looks and feels like a twin on the slope but in the POW performs like a deep snow directional. win-win.
