I’m 67 yrs old and my mom also made hot dogs like this but she also added ketchup then topped with chopped onion on top of the cheese. I also continued the tradition with my children. I have never knew of anyone else fixing hot dogs like this. They are so yummy! I still fix them this way. I will definitely be trying the squash fritters! Thank you.

Morning Miss Karen...I love yellow squash & have craved it so much this summer ...I love it fried, sautéed, in a squash casserole...I've never had it in a fritter form, but will try it.. and ranch dressing would be my choice too...I too love potatoes, especially fried, but I love those smothered with chopped up onions & get the potatoes crunchy...when I was little Mama would fix cut up weines with potatoes & stir fry...not my favorite...ha! There were 4 kids in her family & not alot of money & her Mama had to make food stretch for them...yall have a good day!
When squash and zucchini come in they come in quick...lol. This is a great way to use them up. Never heard that about the egg either. That is another quick and easy but delicious meal Karen. Thanks for helping us think of new ways to get dinner on the table. Love and Hugs
When my Mom and Dad was working late. My sister would cook us fried hotdogs ,potatoes and boxed Mac and cheese. Food looks so good. Thanks for the memories.
My grandmother had 5 to6 of us at her house all the time in the summertime. She would do hotdogs with cheese, pinto beans and fried potatoes. Great meal. Thank you for a wonderful start to my day. From Weiss Lake.
I will have to make this for my husband! Two of his favorite foods, hot dogs and fried potatoes! I have never made squash patties but they look delicious!
That’s exactly how I get the water out of my grated potatoes for hash browns !!! I use a cotton towel, I got tired of using paper towels. You need to use a lot and it doesn’t absorb as good as the heavier towels 👍Love this recipe!! I will have to make these!Thanks for sharing 👍🥰Those hot dogs 🌭 remind me of an elementary school cafeteria hot dog. Only difference is they were wrapped in toasted white bread with a toothpick in it. Loved them!!

Absolutely, the cloth is stained but who cares as long as it's clean

Peel and cool them then slice and fry them. They fry up quick and delicious.
