I made all sounds and the general concept and Musical development, UI etc. I am working on new features that will soon be published, including a way to recall Programs directly and more. Your playing and demo is nice and you can find on TH-cam demos I made... Let's keep us posted and thanks again !

I'd love to have seamless transitions (not cut off) while changing sounds and presets. That's a deal breaker to me. Also, more classic keyboards and synth sounds, like mellotron, string machines, etc. Thanks!

Only just stumbled upon this video. I was looking for a keyboard to complement my Roland FA-08. I bought a Yamaha MX61 MK2 initially but was very disappointed with the action, not to mention the size (61 keys are not really enough for me, I feel to constrained). Obviously, synth action is not for me so went out to look for a semi-weighted keyboard with at least 73 keys. The Numa was suggested to me by a friend and I was just about to order one when I came across a Roland VR-730 in a store (I know, quite different...). Bought one. However, I've also got a Korg Kross 2 88 and when I feel it's time for a little companion for this board, the Numa Compact 2X is going to be it ! On another note (no pun intended) : I live in Belgium but travel to the UK regularly to visit family (Enfield - Greater London). I'll be sure to pop into Andertons next time I'm over ;-) Love your videos, keep up the good work !

Looks like a Nord-killer with the similar feature-set for a third of the cost. Pity the keys aren't true waterfall like the Nords. And why (oh why!) 88 keys? Why would you need a full piano keyboard range for a stage piano? It's not going to be used to teach LCM grades. A 73 or 76 board gives you all the range you'll need for rock, jazz etc, and you can fit it across the back seat of an average european compact car - unlike an 88 key.

  • @555ontario
    @555ontario 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Pretty cool. I see this as a 'live' gig board. Portable and functional. Would also like to hear comments about the length of the piano samples etc. Are they still short like keyboards of 20 years ago? These days they can pack substantial gigabites of sounds at a much cheaper cost than it used to be. Is that the case here?
How much storage is available for edits? Can you set up presets in advance for quick and eady 'live' access? If so, how many? Do you feel this sound library to be versatile enough for covering a wide variety of tunes? How does this rotary effect compare to, say, Nord's? Especially in the upper region where weaker versions tend to sound more vibrato-like? How are the effects? Perhaps that is asking too much here, but just saying.
As subjective as it can be, does this keybed feel quick or sluggish? Despite non weighted keys, do you feel, to a reasonable degree, that you can still play fairly dynamically on them? How do you feel about the screen and it's readability? All these questions came to mind but maybe that's just me. Otherwise, digging the playing and vibe of this keyboard and thanks for sharing the demo. 😊

Weighted keys definitely helps. This is great for playing live, recording songs, and learning scales, but will not be great for learning the fingering and fine details of playing a real piano. But to get that you have to be willing to spend $500-$600 more in most cases.

I already have an Rd88, when I first discovered this I was questioning my purchase. I wish it had some of the perks this has. Sliders for drawbars and light weight at the expense of fully weighted most notably.
That said, if you're looking for authenticity in samples, you get what you pay for..
Don't care so much for the realistic touch as much as the sample quality.

Can someone please answer these 3 questions, this is really important in determining whether I should get this Keyboard or not
1 - When we change the sounds/Instruments live Does it transitions between sounds/instruments SEAMLESSLY? like it will sustain the previous sound/instrument along with its effects when we hold the sustain pedal as we play the next sound/instrument
2 - When we edit a sound that we like and save it in a ''User Registration'' bank, does it appear as a List that we have to scroll through? Are there no shortcuts?
3 - It is stated that it has 99 user registrations, but is there as way for us to save our customized sounds in a USB drive? so we can install/uninstall different batches of those 99 saved user registrations
I would really appreciate anyone willing to answer any of these questions as not many people or demonstrations seems to highlight these important questions. Thank you in advance!

External power supply?? Really?? Using a wall wart on this Studiologic is a deal breaker for me. I never thought I’d see the day when companies the likes of Kurzweil would be using them on their flagship stage pianos 😔

    That Leslie tremolo is cringeworthy

Mark Landes I’m thinking about getting this keyboard for my church because I want something cheap (can’t afford a nord) with a tonewheel organ and physical drawbars. This seems like a decent option but the Leslie sim makes me want to gag. Do you know a good workaround (like a Leslie sim pedal to run the sound through)?

Actual sounds don't sound that good, at least to my ears. Also, when Jack does not spend much time with a preset it kind of reflects that it doesn't sound that great.

If the acoustic piano is shit on an instrument, dont even bother with it. I dont care if it has blows and whistles. And this has a shit acoustic piano sound. Like its beyond horendous. My 20 year old casio I use to play as a little child had a better sounding piano. And when I heard the sound from the speakers :DD OMG I wouldnt pay 5 dollars for that.

I found that the Stage piano is decent and probably the only acoustic piano sound I like and use on this (cp80 notwithstanding). However, they just came with a new OS update and a new more premium piano sound I’ll check out later today. Demos are promising.

Non-weighted keys are a sign this board is for organ and synth folks. Of course, if you're one of those people that doesn't read signs, you'll U-turn anyway and I'll flip you off.
