    Hello. About "Chord Of Canada" pad tone at 4:56, 🥰we can have it on MC-101, MC-707, Jupiter X, Juno X, Fantom and Fantom-0. To get the same sound as on the Go:Keys 3 & 5, you must :
    1. select the Zencore "ChordOfCnada" tone. It is tone #90 in PR-D bank or D bank on all the synths listed above.
    2. Edit the tone to disable partials 3 and 4 (On Fantom, turn off the partials 3 and 4 and on others synths, set the OSC3 and 4 level the 0).😀

    This keyboard design and sound are so dope. Coming from using yamahas for years.

    This is the perfect keyboard for my 7-year-old granddaughter. For now, she's playing on my Yamaha, but very soon, she needs her own keyboard, and this is the one. Thanks for the review.

    Wow. If I had this 10 years ago I would be so motivated to learn the keyboard. The sounds on my old Yamaha were really "toyish"

    • @amusic9825
      @amusic9825 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah. I think keyboard manufacturers like Yamaha should step up their entry level instruments and not artificially making them downright trash just so they can entice people into spending 1000$ keyboards. It is so ridiculous and absurd that a huge keyboard manufacturer creates extremely shitty, toyish egregious keyboard that costs cents to make then sell it as an "entry level keyboard" for 300$. Yamaha has the best sound ever on a keyboard since the 2000 such as Motifs, Tyros and Genos ,Montage today. They really should trickle down the already old Tyros/Motifs sounds to PSREs asap.

    You're shooting yourself in the foot by calling this a beginner keyboard. It might not be a pro pianists gig rig, but it might be for the professional composer looking for a small keyboard with authentic sounds and MIDI capability to be inspired by and compose on the go.

    • @Elazarko
      @Elazarko 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yea I thought the same. I'm personally looking for a digital piano keyboard with 61 keys that best mimics the graded hammer action of a real acoustic piano, with varying resistance across the keys.

      @@Elazarkoany suggestions ?

    • @Elazarko
      @Elazarko 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@O3177O unfortunately not really, no. There are some smaller 73 keys digital pianos out there with a piano action but otherwise the options are extremely limited in my findings.. you have the Numa piano 73 the Yamaha 73 key p121 and korg has the sv2 73 keys but for something more portable than those especially with speakers Casio CTS1/500 or the Roland go Keys 5 seem to be the best options. I couldn't find any *slim/portable* 61 key Yamaha model with good tone and action.

    I'm not a beginner but it's the affordability aspect of having Zen Core synths from the Fantom for not much cash that I find interesting. I don't need to dive deep into the sounds. I want something that I can tweak quickly & layer before the idea goes out my head. The chord facility is pretty neat too. I have enough Joanna sounds, organs & elec pianos already with my Casios & Yamahas. Loving the turquoise Go Keys 3. The splash of colour will add to my red Casio CT-S1 and red Korg Monologue. It's a nice change from the black or grey synths. Many thanks.

      If you buy a Go:Keys 3 or 5,
      please make an honest review video about it (just like you did with the Casio CT-S1), one of the honest reviews was yours that convinced me to buy the Casio CT-S1, and I'm pretty happy with it for what it is, but now here I'm watching this video about these Roland Go:Keys 3 and Go:Keys 5, and I'm afraid my wallet's gonna go on a diet again, but luckily it's gonna be a healthy diet, becauae teaching with these things will be probably much improved experience for the keyboard student and for the teacher too. Light gigs are also seem no problem with this (although I'm not totally sure about specifically solo piano sound gigs).

    The red one is more Nordsy for Jack of course... The SoundCloud stuff is really great, that you can find a style for a specific song and are then able to load it very quickly by using your phone. Unreal, so this must be the best arranger-keyboard on the planet and it looks cool too and can also be used as a Zencore-soundbank for music production. I've been looking for a machine like this to use with my DAW too.

    Looks good. And sounds good as well. What I don't get is that they still put in tiny low-res LCDs like we're still in the 80s. Maybe they see people regarding Elektron to be retro-cool doing the same thing for over a decade now, so they think they have to do it too.

      I think they also have in mind battery power capabilities. Bigger and hi-res screen the harder it is to be powered sufficiently by battery.
      If you know what patches you want and memorize the steps to get there by muscle memory, think it's fine.

    I got one a few days ago. Long time player, and I own a 10 years old Yamaha stage Piano that sounds great, but I love this thing. The firmware still needs some improvement, though. First, I noticed a bug when you record a midi song and try to rename it, the recording breaks down. But more importantly, I would really love to be able to assign the 5 custom sounds to every scene instead of just as a general setting. That would make the keyboard much more usable live.

      He said, "Coolest patch ever on an entry-level keyboard!" So, Nautilus doesn't count, Wavestate doesn't count. Microkorg and Mininova are about the limit for "entry-level", but they're synths more than keyboards. CTS1 counts, and PSR-e series, Sonogenic, the cheaper Medeli keyboards, Donner, Nux, etc - those are some examples of the other entry-level keyboards.
      A beginner can use Nautilus, too, tho. People complain about a complex user interface, but a beginner can stick to loading presets in program and combi modes, which is easy... Press the program button (or combi button) and then twist the big dial to go thru the presets. Then they can learn more complex action as they want to.

      Sounds like quite a difference... just saw this video, not the best recording, but definitely better on the 5. th-cam.com/video/qAVSmIxoElU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7tUz6L8DHokHyCNv

      I have the 5. Same size speakers as the 3, but the GoKeys 5 has passive radiators to fill out the low end. Best sounding speakers I've heard on keyboards this size.

      They are both good, but the Roland sounds more "musical" and has a slightly better keyboard ( I have tried them both). The CASIO is only half the price of the ROLAND though!
