Nice job, the farm looks stunning with a covering of the white stuff, but I’m not sure I’d want to be playing a waiting game in it, hats off to you sir.
Lovely time of year but cold very testing Decided twice last week not to go ratting because I was glad to be home from work and warm Well done Simon You are dedicated to the job 👍👍👍
Great job yet again, Simon 👏 Those little songbirds that are flitting around the fences are probably only there because of your magpie removal services 👍👍👍
Been watching your channel for many years now Simon. I still get a buzz when I see a new one come up! Thanks so much for taking the time to make them! Atb Marc.
Thank you my friend i to watch others on YT and when their vids come out i enjoy watching but at times it can get hard to try and keep up a good standard as there is only so much i can do lol.
Hi mate, far out I can't remember how many years I've been following your channel now, there isn't a single vid that hasn't ticked all the boxes and this one is no exception, really enjoyed it, thank you! For me the best days down the woods with the Ultimate Sporter(s) are when it's completely calm, crisp with a hard frost and not a cloud in the sky...can't beat it. All the best!
It's very cold here. and working on my air rifle after many years of no use. You are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing and stay safe. On a gentle note, our Great Dane did not want to go out for the usual mile walk through our property.
Thanks for the video, but after watching I feel compelled to get a fire going in my fireplace because my hands are cold just watching you sitting in the snow. 😁
@@simon6ppc246 I had issues with my new FX King. My RFD called me today to say a replacement is waiting my collection. I'm going to get it this weekend. Fingers crossed... 😎😎
Now then fella; hope you are well. Ive been a propper fanny this week.... went out 4th Jan but had to head back at 11 PM or risk getting stranded out on the moors in the snow. I've stayed in since then and found work to do instead 🤣. Just ordered one of the DNT 225r thermnight scopes (thermal & NV combined) which I plan to stick on top of a .22 WMR. They look ideal for fast acquisition of those sudden close range foxes. Probably make a good ratting tool too. Lots of raving going on about them. Just picked one up for £900... which I think is incredible kit for the money. Have to see if they are as good as people are saying.
Hi ther simon its how it is some times friend 3shots 3down bro still a posative out come bro its lvly clear picher bro if you can see change after 2yrs wow you doing amazing job if every one got out and do some pest controll be amazing thank you so much simon for your time i prishate your time my friend godbless you we see you on the next one bro please be safe thank you bro👍😁👏
Thank you as always for the great video content Simon! As I progress into night work, I've been researching all the value options in digital NV (DNT, Oneleaf, Pard, Sightmark, etc). I've iterated down to the Oneleaf Commander NV500 Eagle and the DNT Zulus scopes (LRF/BC models). I'll be using it on my FAC rated .22 PCP air rifle for rats, pigeons, starlings and crows (4-65 yards in day and night) and my .223 AR-15 for coyotes and feral pigs (300 yards max and mostly at night). Do you have any experience with either of these scopes or have any better recommendations for scopes like these under $1,000 USD?
Out of them all Tommy me personally think the Zulus is the best with out a doubt, in fact for the money the Zulus honestly takes some beating as only yesterday i zeroed my mates for him and you could see the paper clearer then my C50 .
Thank you Simon! My only concern with the Zulus is that you can only get it in 3-12x or 5-20. For my applications, I just wonder if the 5-20 would have a bit too tight of FOV on rats at 5-10 yards - and the 3-12 would be a bit too weak for coyotes and pigs at 250-300 yards. The Zulus has a full HD (1920x1080) OLED display though where the NV500 Eagle only has a 1280x1024 LCoS display. Both have the Starvis 2 sensor and 4K video but I'm am concerned with the resolution in looking through through the scope. Have you tried the NV500 Eagle yet?
Hi Simon - I use an FX IMPACT MK3 and a FX impact MK4 Compact both .177 both sub 12 ft lb for rabbit/squirrel / covid and rats. Which NV ( digital) would you recommend?. I’m thinking of either a Pulsar c50/ Hikmicro or Infiray . I shoot minimum of 10m out to 50m. I use the Pulsar Axion XQ38 thermal for spotting . Many thanks
When do you choose to shoot this .177 and when the .22 (what do you base that choice on)? And do you know the muzzle speed of those guns with the pellets you're using?
Ye i know all the speeds JVD and power so i choose which one depending where i am shooting for safety reasons or the distance i will be shooting but at times i some times wished i had choose different lol.
Hello Simon Great shooting as always.. Just be careful with handling birds because I'm hearing that bird flu or Avian influenza has jumped the species barrier and is affecting mammals, possibly humans.
Nice job, the farm looks stunning with a covering of the white stuff, but I’m not sure I’d want to be playing a waiting game in it, hats off to you sir.
Lol i have loved being out in the snow since i was 5 years old Pal.
That was like a little fire side chat all snug up there amongst the straw, it was a joy to see a bit of shooting in some bad weather.
Thanks.
Ye suppose so cheers pal.
As always Simon an excellent video.
Geoff.
Many thanks!

Ye cheers pal but i to have stayed in a few times over Christmas lol
Great job yet again, Simon 👏
Those little songbirds that are flitting around the fences are probably only there because of your magpie removal services 👍👍👍
They are Jake as soon as the magpies turn up they all scatter quick.

Enjoyed 👍 sas rogue now 😂 perfect
Lol.
Always enjoy your air rifle sessions. What method do you use to level the scope reticle when setting up a rifle?
Thanks Dominic to be fair i just use my eye looking down the rifle , i have 2 bubble levels which is the correct way also but never really use them.
Best shot so far this year - it's only 12 Jan! 🤣
Well ye but things you say when filming once said you can't make right lol😂
Different breed of woodies up there, they don’t sit still like that round here😂
That's because they can see you and you have no field craft 😂
Hi Simon just a quick question which scope do you prefer pulsar c50 or alpex 4k
Alpex 4K pal with out a doubt BUT! the C50 is still a top NV.
@simon6ppc246 thanks for that Simon thinking of upgrading my n450 digisight to something I can use in daylight and dark
Morning big Simon
Morning Johnny
@ hope you and yours had a great Christmas and new year
Blimey , you moved to Canada ?? 😀
Ye Roger damn wolf tracks all over 😂
Hi Simon - I use an FX IMPACT MK3 and a FX impact MK4 Compact both .177 both sub 12 ft lb for rabbit/squirrel / covid and rats. Which NV ( digital) would you recommend?. I’m thinking of either a Pulsar c50/ Hikmicro or Infiray . I shoot minimum of 10m out to 50m. I use the Pulsar Axion XQ38 thermal for spotting . Many thanks
100% the Alpex 4K Alan the others will do the job by the way but the 4K for me is the Daddy.
Thanks for that Simon .much appreciated 👍
Having watched the video I decided to have a Malt Whisky. Just to heat myself up you understand !!. Cheers from Glasgow.
Lol it does seem to have that effect on ya 😂
When do you choose to shoot this .177 and when the .22 (what do you base that choice on)? And do you know the muzzle speed of those guns with the pellets you're using?

Hi simon is the pulsar better than the alpex
Not as good as the Alpex 4K Migsy to be fair but its better than the A50T Alpex which is the first one, what i think any way others might disagree
@simon6ppc246 cheers mucker
Some nice shooting Simon, did you not get any gloves for Christmas 😂
Ye but i always forget them 😂
Is the Daystate sub 12 ft lb or FAC.?
Sub 12 Charles
