I kinda met Annabel to go dancing today.
I would imagine a mother in the 1920s would have been quite mortified at you or at her daughter just deciding to go dancing without asking permission or telling anyone. It’s hard enough you have a job.

My Mum was born in 1914. One of the dances she did was called the
"Black Bottom".
Mum also danced the
"Charleston"
