Welcome to the 1930s.
1930s: the Great Depression.
It was kind of a downer in the 1930s. There's a lot of frustration. You're missing a lot of things, we haven't gotten a lot of stuff. We did get an iron, which was pretty good. It was kind of dangerous to use - I feel like everything got really hot when I plugged it into the wall. We had the cooker - it had the thermostat on it.
Wow.
I know Mum got a thermostat on her oven-slash-stove cooking apparatus.I've never been in the kitchen, so that doesn't really affect me.

They were poor, hungry but they were united which today we are not. The ego on humans now is out of control. I've felt very sad when I've seen lovely people being ignored by emotional bullies. If we ever have a new Great Depression those who refuse to connect are screwed. We are spoilt brats these days and absolutely horrible to each other. Either people make a fuss of the bully or they become the bully. I'm just an observer but that's what I've witnessed. God help the people if we ever do get another Great Depression because humans don't know how to help each other anymore like they did back then. God help us all. Many believe that a new Great Depression can't happen but look around you people and look back on the history of the last Great Depression. In the 20s they lived high on the hog, nice homes, new cars, great food, clothing, keeping up with the Jones's etc then Bang. Now look at today. We've been spoilt for years and now food has gone through the roof, not enough jobs or housing and that's exactly what happened just prior to the last one. I don't know when it's coming 6 months, 2 years, 5 years? I don't know but I can see it unfolding. If I am right then it's going to be tougher than this video shows because it shows people who had a roof over their heads and some food. Others weren't that lucky. These were the people who were better off.
