    thanks for this tutorial, I just finished watching this and you said the shoulder to waist in the front bodice is longer than the back bodice but you ended up using same shoulder to waist length for both back and front bodice.

    • @kayoafrica5757
      @kayoafrica5757  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      stephanie ubah no. The back is shorter, you should notice the waist line is slanted

    Kayo help oooo... I have 2 questions.
    I. The centre back and back body lenght measurements are they the same? Because in your "how to take accurate measurements video you didnt touch on the back shoulder to waist mmnt.
    2. My front waist is 12.5cm longer than my back waist, is this normal? I feel like I'm slanted at the back. Lol

    But please not all of us understand cutting with CM. Preferable make videos with Inches for us.

    Thank you Kayo, but I have question pls, after measuring my neck width on the pattern am I going to deduct it from my normal shoulder measurement? You used a shoulder measurement of 14cm, is the 14cm for shoulder space after removing the neck width

    • @kayoafrica5757
      @kayoafrica5757  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. Measure your neck width (neck circumference divided by 5 - 0.5) then mark your shoulder length.

      Your method of drafting bodice is very easy to understand and seems more professional than most of what is out there. Can you pls teach how to use this basic bodice patterns to manipulate and get princess: armhole/shoulder, bustier, off shoulder etc. This will make it easier to stick to your methods. Cos if your bodice can be this good fitting I think using it to draft all these other ones will be the best. This is my opinion though,if it's ok by you,we will appreciate

    Also, I'd like to know. When 'slanting' the front shoulder, you didn't use any measurement for the shoulder drop. How do one determine that.
    P.s I'd be refreshing your channel everyday for new video. . You don't know how happy I am.

    • @kayoafrica5757
      @kayoafrica5757  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did use 4cm for the front and 3.5cm for the back
