This was my first bike back in 1979. Damn, that brings back memories hearing that engine fire up! I was one of the first kids in my neighborhood with a bike. 2 years later there was about 15 of us ripping down the streets. Good times in the 70's!!!

One of the best running Motorcycles I ever had was my 74 TS185 with the same paint as the one above. My bike was laying in a junk pile back in the early 80's when I found it, now I was a young kid with no $ & this bike had the chain thrown so bad that the clutch cover exploded taking out the engine cases at the same time ( why it was junked ). I got it running and found the shifter splines were also trashed, it also had no back brakes so I clamped a pair of vice grips on as tight as I could and hit the trails lol. I could shift it just as fast using my heel on the vice grips as I could if it had a stock shifter and it taught me how to use front brakes to stop lol.

My first bike, when you started it wow... it takes me back. I remember going to work on it and some dirt scrambling. Then I saw a XR250 79'? and fell in love. Similar thing was happening with the girls at that time too. Thank you from New Zealand.

I grew up riding this exact bike. Started off on a TS75 and eventually moved up to my father's TS185. Going to have to pull this out of the shed and give it a good rip!

I had one of these bikes in the early 70s. And I have watched several TH-cam videos on them. And none of them seem to mention mine had a 2-speed gearbox. High range and low range it was not a street and trail bike. It was a street and trial bike. Low range top speed was about 20 miles an hour high range top speed was about 60 miles an hour. Perhaps mine was not a TS but it was definitely a 185 Suzuki 1971 model

What you had is a TC185.. It can't have been a '71 model as they only produced them from '74-78.. It was a low production run and are quite rare now.. I have a '74 model with real low engine and frame numbers (1108) They're a lot heavier than the TS, electric start, big 12 volt battery plus a heap of other things.. For all that the TC was a good solid bike but never sold well as no one wanted to pay the extra dollars for all the extras..

Had one 30 years ago a great bike -when I found a 78 ds185 a few years ago I bought it and I still ride it almost every day. Almost the same but not a street bike an off road with lights no gages just lights for occasionally riding the pavement and nights on the trail.

I had a 72 tc 125 with the Hi-Lo range. My dad bought it new and passed it down to me when I was a young teenager. Loved it. I really like to get a 72 ts250 with the blue an white paint scheme. My 125 was red and white

Awesome Ken《☆》My 1st time on a real motorcycle was on aTS185. It sounded a little different due to a head gasket leak but it got me hooked on motorcycles for life🤠☻🤠

The seat on my 74 was Brown not black like this one, and it was original, one of the only bikes I got pictures of as a kid and I still have the 185 badge off of the exhaust shield all these years later.

What is value of TS at the current time. Have one that can be rider but every bolt on it is original just no spark. Going to trace it down redo carb with new kit and get it going. Just wondering if worth doing total restore I'm not sure on market at all.
