I watched this video and just now changed my passenger side mirror, same deal just the other side. Thank you very much. Only two comments: One, I removed the speaker (three screws) and i could reach my hand inside to guide the old wire out and the new wire in place. Two, The white door clips have pointy little tips and through inattention one of them poked a hole in my speaker. Don't poke a hole in your speaker it deceases the satisfaction of a job well done.
Thanks so much for the video! Some jerkoff here in Brooklyn knocked off my GF's mirror on her blue 17 Yaris IA. But thanks to your video despite my low level handy skills I feel like I can replace this myself.
The mount broke, the piece with 3 torx screws -- I have a 2018 Yaris though, I wonder if that makes a difference? The mirror head is fine and just the mount snapped apart, so I'm hoping to find that replacement part instead of paying more for the whole mirror head if that makes sense. @alyoungcuda

Do you happen to know the term for the mount that connects the mirror to the car itself? :)
There is only the door frame itself that the mirror studs go thru and tighten up to.
Did you only break the mirror head off and not the mount that holds the head in place? It all comes together as 1 piece
