We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning th-cam.com/users/postUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
1 speaker playing will be in Stereo but when dual 2 speaker they will be playing with the same output of each speaker and when speaker 1 and speaker 2 play the same signal they call it Mono however each speaker still perform Stereo. Let make it simple, you play 1 speaker with Stereo mode but not enough loudness then you dual it to get x2 loudness. No change in sound quality just louder
So let me get this straight - one Onxy Studio plays stereo but when you connect two of them in dual sound mode, they play mono? Why won't both play the same stereo?
ToroDron Yes, if you do a right/left stereo test on TH-cam with the Onyx Studio 3 you'll hear the seperation between the left and right driver. However, when pairing both Onyx Studio 3 both speakers still play left/right individualy instead of one speaker playing only left and one speaker only right, which is true stereo. When 2 speakers play the same left/right it's called mono (like the Onyx Studio 3 in dual sound).
Would of been helpful to turn the camera so we could see what you were pushing and how many times and if you hit them both at the same time or one then the other....
No. They will be louder but still the same sound. I have the Go and Play and the Onyx and the Go and Play is in another league. I thought my Onyx was the best sounding bluetooth speaker until I got my Go and Play(better clarity, deeper and harder hitting bass). If you need the extra volume then go for the two Onyx speakers because for a large speaker the Go and Play is not that loud.
kleenexDK No there is no stereo sound, just double mono, and yes, you have to re-pair them every time you turn them on/off. You can pair different types of speakers together though (onyx studio 3 + Go Play or Onyx Studio 3 + Onyx Mini.
When two units of the onyx 3 are paired are in stereo? One touches the left side and the other touches the right side? Or do both play the same sound at the same time?
stebergl the new onyx mini wil automaticly reconnect to the last speaker you connected it to (so a onyx mini wil automaticly reconnect to a Go +Play if they were paired before. I personally hate this because I use the speakers in a multiroom setup with chromecasts and the Wireless Dual Sound messes up the chromecast connection. I actually returned my first Onyx Mini because it kept reconnecting to my Onyx Studio 3 after I turned them on.
I had two Onyx2 hooked up playing through Google chromecast is was super loud louder than this, I went to the beach got some sand in one and the aux didn't work. Swapped one of the onyx2 for for 3 and u can tell it's much weaker but why since it's newer? I me cast to my onyx2 & onyx3 and I can totally hear the difference the onyx2 was the best one made by far.
Yes I have both the 2 and the 3 . i use Google Chromecast to send the signal to both speakers you can totally tell the O2 has more bass & is louder overall. I can see how the O3 differs with charging and it's also what 150 vs 300
Does anyone else have issues attempting to watch movies thought these? Mine lag like crazy when paired together. Alone they are each fine. But when trying to watch a movie with them in stereo there is a huge delay from the screen to the speaker making using both borderline impossible.
Jon Jensen Yes, they have that issue because one speakers needs to connect to the other one AND your TV / mobile device. your best option is using an aux cable, bluetooth always has lag (however the aura studio doesnt seem to have a lag issue)
Hi, I was wondering if there is any delay when you play a video via bluetooth in dual mode?! I have the mini one and there is obvious delay during playing videos.
Hamed Khavari Yes, there is a delay. The only speaker which doesn't seem to have this problem is the Aura Studio (i litterally checked the delay through a audio/video snyc video and there wasnt any delay at all.
My Onyx 1 broke - and I didn't even use it that much, sparingly, and all of a sudden it won't turn on. Checked all connections and such - nope. Likely cheap quality
Yo what kind of Mickey mouse song is that? Did you like search for the worse possible song you can find? Because you did a great job at that. Not too bright of a song choice especially for a speaker test/demonstration pal. and why would you have 2 speakers so close together? YOU HAVE COMPLETELY DESTROYED THE PURPOSE OF THIS VIDEO👍👏

Can you have Dual mode when playing through the aux?

thank you, this is just what i wanted to know
Dual mono ? , I'm glad I found that out before I wasted any more money.
Barney Banana Yes, I never understood the ridiculous decision from Harman Kardon to let Dual sound play in mono instead of stereo.
AllSeeyingGuy It is a sales gimmick..sound from speaker nothing great to shout about..over priced speakers .

Thank you for clarification :) Also please tell me if you're able to control volume separately when in dual sound mode...

what song is that, it sounds like something from a video game.
Matthew A fzero fire field (ssbb)
Nice i knew it sounded familiar
sounds like a song from Mega Man
So, you have to pair them everytime?
If I'm having a backyard BBQ party this summer, will one of these be enough, or should I just go ahead and get 2?
Martin Kennelly if you use 1 make sure it’s plugged in you get more sound that way
Can you pair a 2 and a 3 ? Thank you
Do you think the dual Onyx 3 is better than a single Go Play?
No. They will be louder but still the same sound. I have the Go and Play and the Onyx and the Go and Play is in another league. Does the dual setup provide true stereo? Do you have to make the pairring, everytime you turn them on?

which is your favourite speaker ?
sameera khalid Go + Play
Gracias ..todo perfecto ...
how far away can they be from each other without unpairing? you think i would be able to have one upstairs and one downstairs?
P Jones That probably won't work, I'd suggest using chromecasts audios connected to powerbanks for a good portable solution in home.
P Jones You can look up my ChromeCast videos to see how this works
What's the difference between the onxyx studio 2 and 3??
Emily A they are the same but you can pair two onyx studios 3 together (this isnt possible with onyx studio 1 or 2)
Frequency Range is better on the Onyx 3 as well You get a deeper Bass
When two units of the onyx 3 are paired are in stereo? One touches the left side and the other touches the right side? Or do both play the same sound at the same time?
John Doe onyx 2,3 or 4?? I had the 2 but it died and I gotta buy a new one. The bass was great on 2!
@@AllSeeyingGuy can you pair onyx 3 and onyx 4
can you connect the Onyx 3 w/ the Onyx 1? I own the first version, it has blue tooth
No, unfortuantly not
nope
When it is in Dual , Is it 2.0 or still mono ?
manu manu mono
th-cam.com/video/Yh9xjK-QM6U/w-d-xo.html
Do they stay connected after power off and then on again? I have to reconnect everytime and think that is really embarrassing for HK.

As duas juntas fica mais alta que a jbl boombox???
tiene sonido dual habilitado?
Is the sound level is much louder with two speakers or is it split in two ?
Thomas Peerse yes, the sound is noticably louder than a single speakers.
Thx
They are not the best speakers for a stereo sound no ?
Sebastien Peyratout nope, they both play the same mono
Does it make a big diff ?
Sebastien Peyratout 2 onyx studio 3's give a much broader sound than one.
Aha obviously but i wanted to say between with and without stereo sound
Sebastien Peyratout it's still mono sound

I used to have an Onyx Studio 3, you could be right about the better preformance of the Onyx Studio 2 but they don´t differ alot more than a 1 or 2 %.
I meant that I used to have a Onyx Studio 2, sorry.
Hey there how did you pair 2 onyx 2 together? did you use an aux splitter and connect them both through aux? cheers.
Mark W you can try that but the aux will also have to go into your music playing device

Can I pair studio3 to Harman kardon goplus 2016 model
bijo joseph if you mean the Go+Play, then yes, you can pair them together
Can you connect more then 2? If so, what is max?
100+
What sounds better, 2 Onyx 3 for dual sound or 1 Go + Play?
Jaime Sanchez 2 dual sound speakers will always sound better than a single unit. This is also the case with 2 onyx studio 3's vs 1 go play
fuck is the DB Xenoverse 2 theme song?
