- In this video I modified the usb port (for data usage) in herman kardon speaker became a charger port. With this modification, we can charge the speaker using usb port and cable. Awesome :)

Should I replace my battery?
The original charger IC of the speaker accepts like 4-20V as well so theoretically it should be possible just to add a jumper cable on the main board from the USB 5V to the charge IC. Never tried it though. But I added an extra battery last time I took it apart.
ive got everything apart and solder ready I wanna to try it but I don't know where to connect from point a to point be can u explain so I can try it thx?
Exactly what I wanted to do! Thinking of securing second battery to case with hot glue. dont want it rattling around in there!
Hello, the battery in my Harman Kardon (exactly the same model) has yet again lived its life. This is becoming too frequent. If I need to modify it to work directly with DC supply through a 5V input, any suggestions? Where I stay, I don't find the 3 pin 18650 battery easily available and then trying to see how I can mod. I can get 18650 batteries but this has 3 pin connector with a thermistor likely. Any suggetions else on how to run this with a single 18650 battery with two pins? Thank you

Excuse me, there are two plugs on the back of the device. One is normal plug and the other is mini usb. I charge the battery with the normal plug, but I don't know what mini USB is. Hello.

So I got all the way to removing the usb charger but I am not a techie person just pissed my speaker isn’t working anymore - so anyway - I have three colored cords red brown and black - can you give me the dummies version how I make this one piece so I can move on to next step ? Assume I remove the white end and then strip the wires back? But I have no idea how to add those to battery… help
They are afraid of constant charging. I put out the battery on my Onyx 4. right after the warranty. The device was charged all day long, for 5 days. Accordingly, the battery is damaged. It is necessary like this: I charged it, and immediately turned it off. Well, to the full try to discharge. Sounds silly, and the super engineers did it. But the column sounds SUPER.

Didn’t you have any problem after a while? You are charging the battery with 5v instead of 3.7v which many times can be really bad for the battery.

im guessing you lose the full power output for good, right? because the reason for such a higher voltage charger isnt just to recharge battery, its to give out max output at 60 watts. when used as portable only gives out half potential.. riiight???

I just switched out the battery and it still doesn't work when you unplug it . So I guess it's the cord

nope, actually i bought it without power cable. so i have to find a way to turn it on.
Mine doesn't show signs of charging when charger plugged in ... Anytime I on will keep blinking and off

Yo le cambie todo el puerto de entrada por el de usb como usted me enseno pero todo me funciona muy bien pero la memoria funciona perfecto pero no la lee y el video que usted muestra es muy bueno y muy oractico oero no se escucha nada esoero que me colabore con esto gracias es elkin todo onix 4 harman karton estudio gracias de nuevo.
