I read Strange The Dreamer, ACOWAR and LOS this month. They were all so wonderful. They made me laugh, cry and cheer. Sure, I didn't read much but what I did read were books from three of my favorite authors ever. And that's fine by me. ♡

As a Canadian-born Indian, think it's so cool that you watched Queen!! It's so good! The music stereotype about Bollywood is something that went on in like the 90s. Bollywood is super advanced these days! Bollywoof movies from the early 2000s are my FAVE though!! As for another Bollywood recommendation on Netflix, I'd say Kal Ho Na Ho!!

"he's just like a gross pirate" god that whole monologue about jack sparrow - so real, I almost wanted to cry! because I loove the orignal trilogy as well and they mean a lot to me, so while I appreciate the fifth one on some level, especially seeing depp's portrayal of sparrow just hurts! it really felt like he was doing it for the paycheck and I hate to say that. an orlando bloom on the other hand, who has wanted to come back for such a long time and has been talking about it for forever gets like five lines. I'm saaad.

Had a mediocre reading month but did find a new obsession in Twin Peaks. I finished the original series on Netflix and fell in love with everything about it, though I did prefer the first season and first half of season two to the second half. Not sure how I feel yet about the new season, but I think I'm into it. Coop is my boy though.

The books I ate were Words of Radiance, The Dark Prophecy, Steelheart, and Firefight. The movies I ate were the new Pirates of the Caribbean, and I watched different movies from the Lord of the Rings trilogy about three times each at different times of the month. My favorite story was Words of Radiance because it was SO GOOD. I finished it the day The Dark Prophecy came out (I guess it still counts as a book for May because I actually finished it in May although I started it before that). Anyways, it was amazing, and the Stormlight Archive is now on my list for some of my favorite book series of all time (even though the series isn't finished yet....).

I reread Lady Midnight in anticipation of LoS but I kinda burnt myself out with reading and I'm struggling to pick anything up now. I absolutely adored Guardians 2, all the Baby Groot parts made me feel so many feelings. I watched Star Trek Beyond and I really enjoyed that and also finally watched the entirety of the Sound of Music ( I had watched majority of it many times but never the ending with the nazis). That has got to be one of my favourite movies ever. I've been meaning to watch Nocturnal Animals but I'm scared it will be too much for me.

Queen is a great film! Glad you enjoyed it, most Bollywood movies are pretty long. They have intervals when you see them in the cinema like a play so people can get snacks and go to the bathroom because they're must longer than other films.

You literally could not have described my exact feelings about Dead Men Tell No Tales any better. Captain Jack Sparrow has been lost. After I saw this Poop film, I went home and watched "the original trilogy" and it was perfection. Characters really do make a story.

I absolutely loved When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon because it was just such a cute and fast read and I am also a young Indian American, so this book is the first book with main characters I can completely relate to. Also, the book references the Bollywood movies Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (a TOTAL classic) and Rab Ne Banadi Jodi, so if you are looking for Bollywood films to watch, I recommend those two movies. Although these two aren't stories, Rupi Kaur's poetry book, Milk and Honey, and Hasan Minhaj's comedy special, Homecoming King, were also amazing pieces that I ate this month. I am beyond excited to read Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare! :)

I put down lord of shadows for ACOWAR... and that's saying something. I have to say I think Maas is my new favorite author. Yes I love Clare's writing and will always pick her books up but... PRIORITIES!
