There are many who will refuse to believe they will go through the tribulation, even though the Bible is very clear about it. They will heap to themselves teachers to itch their ears, who will tell them the fables they want to believe. These are those who instead of making Gods word their delight, and seeking Gods truth earnestly day and night, they go to church and let a pastor tell them what it says and means! Now I love my pastor and believe he is 1000% sincere in his faith, but I still never just except anything taught or preached until I have obeyed Gods word, and prove all things! I hold to what lines up, and put the rest behind. After all, we are not told to be followers of men, but of Christ, and our teacher is not man, but the Holy Spirit of God! Remember, it’s Gods truth, not ours that saves!
Even if the pretribulation rapture is correct, how many Christians qualify as the "wise virgin"? In the West, not even 10% will qualify. Furthermore, tribulation/trials serve both as discipline and refinement. Many western Christians are spoiled little brags who think discipline wasn't meant for them. They will be very disappointed when they see the antichrist and are forced to receive his mark or die.
We are in The Tribulation, It Started About 2000yrs ago and Will Become Greater as We Draw Closer to The Rapture. Tribulation is Satan Attacking God's People. The two witnesses are Moses and Elijah. Moses stands for the law and Elijah for the prophets. The Jews at the time used to summarize the entire OT as "The law and the prophets". Jesus says in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus that the rich man's family has Moses and the prophets and if they don't listen to them then they won't be convinced even if someone rises from the dead. This imagery in Revelation is clearly pointing to the Jews rejecting their own scriptures. This is clearly pointing to Jerusalem as well because it says it is in the great city square "where also their Lord (Jesus) was crucified." This all points perfectly to the destruction of Jerusalem, the temple and the people there in 70 AD.

Remember that Jesus referred to John the Baptist as Elijah. I think the two witnesses are both two people and two groups of people: 2 olive branches and 2 lampstands.
Studying this about 30 years ago, I believe the Lord showed me that the two witnesses were more specifically the Gentile believers (Elijah) and the Messianic Jewish believers (Moses). You guys are the only ones I've ever come across who confirm this idea.

Its not only Southern Baptists that are Pre-trib almost all of the Pentecostal denominations hold to pre-trib rapture: Church of God Cleveland, Tenn., Assembly of God, Foursquare Church, Pentecostal Church of God, Pentecostal Holiness Church, and many other others. Satan wishes for us to not belive in the two witnesses so we wil not be saved by them in the last days. They are real men who have mouths, feet legs and preach things of Heaven. They will witness us and return to Heaven and witness to the angels that God is just in his punishment of the wicked. If you throw stones you will die.

Bear in mind that there were also two men in the garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was entombed for three days...and there were also two men at the ascension of Jesus , from the Mount of Olives...not saying that they are Moses and Elijah...only saying it's possible.
In Rev. 1:20 Christ said the word "candlesticks" is a symbol of the "churches" in the Book of Revelation. In Romans chapter 11 Paul used the two olive trees as a symbol of the New Covenant Church made up of both cultivated and wild olive tree branches grafted together into the same tree. Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

There is plenty of false and bad teachings on this fantastic book. Because people are not willing to just READ it and let God teach them. However, when we love Christ and God and although spouting untruth - God gives grace - even with Revelation - since the person is not trying to spout crap. This book is FILLED with truth; Jesus said He gave it to us so that we can KNOW what is going to happen; and it Pleads with us to READ it (R1:3) and BEGS us to learn to HEAR the Holy Spirit EIGHT times. The Holy Spirit wants to teach us about this book... please, please, just gently READ it. Over and Over - until it is opened up to you. It is NOT a scary book - look what Jesus says in R1:17 "Do NOT be Afraid." Jesus wants you to Read and Understand this marvelous prophecy!

1260 days is not 3.5 years. 1277 days are 3.5 years. The argument I hear for this is the calendar was different but that does not wash with me because a calendar does not change what a day is or what a year is. A calendar can only change what a week or month is. A day is 1 revolution of the earth and a year is 1 complete orbit around the sun. A calendar cannot change that! So what is the answer?
If the two witnesses that are called the lampstands; and the lampstands represent the church, could they be the two churches Christ was pleased with? Since He was pleased with them they have the power to perform miracles. Acts does say in the last days miracles will take place when God pours out His Spirit on them. Those two faithful churches will walk in God's power to witness Christ to the lost during the last days. Just a thought that came to me.
Used rev 1:20 to say the lampstands are the church. 7 lampstands are seven local chuches in what is now Turkey. Then using this symbolism the two witnesses should be two churches. Yes the chuch will be persecuted but not distroyed (kill them). Why did they ignor verse 12 to 14? Verse 12 sounds like the rapture if these two witnesses are the church. But this will not work for their view as it is not the end of the world as the third woe has not come yet - verse 14. Maybe that is why they ignored these verses. If chapter 11 takes use to end of the world what then is the third woe from verse 14?
The sacrifice and use of ashes from the red heifers to purify the priest is to perform this ceremony in a physical temple by the Jews. So how is this being ignored. Also measured innner court is for a specific amount of salvation set in scripture for the 144k chosen. The outer court is without measure due to two reasons for the gentile. The two unforgivable sins can only be performed by the last generation. So many will go to and fro until the end as written in book of Daniel. Those who receive the mark or worship the beast shall be removed from the book of life and some who survive and remain faithful shall be written in the book of life until the end. “ to and fro”.
There are two obvious problems you have mentioned. You said that in Rev. 12:4-6 that the church is who birthed the child. Only Israel could be that unless you believe the church has taken its place. If that is so then who is the remnant in v. 17. This is the church. Daniel mentioned the time, times, and dividing of times in Revelation 12. In Daniel 12:11, the 1,260 days are counted from one event, the daily sacrifice being taken away and the abomination of desolation being set up. These are one just like the return of Jesus and our being gathered unto him is one (2Thess 2:1) That means that these are literal days. So literal that they have 30 days, then another 45 days added to them. When the LORD counts he is specific. One last thing. Revelation 11 discusses olive trees. A major scriptural incident that uses these olive trees is Zech. three and four. Joshua the priest and Zerubbabel (both names for Jesus) were called olive trees. Generally, if something is interpreted one way in the Bible, that way should be strongly considered in future passages. Understanding Bible prophecy and specifically the Rapture of the Church: those true believers who belong to Christ Jesus, and the Great Tribulation, and the reign of the Antichrist and False Prophet, and the return of Christ Jesus at His Second Coming, the Millennial Reign of Christ Jesus, and the Great White Throne Judgment, has always been a Bible verse vs. Bible verse battle, and every Christian claims the Bible CLEARLY says…when they try to make their point. Sadly it seems like two spitting cobras using bible verses as an attack instead of an edification, and the same verses are repeated every time and we are left spinning our wheels and getting nowhere. I propose a different approach to understanding biblical prophecy and the return of Jesus to Earth. Every Christian should list every future event together and see where theses separate events fit in their timeline. For example: when do we Christians stand before Jesus at the Bema Seat Judgment? And when do we receive our eternal resurrected bodies? And when do we partake in the Marriage of the Lamb and when do others partake in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? And where do all of these separate events happen? Also how does the Two Witnesses and the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel that were sealed by an angel, fit into the timeline and what is their relationship with the Church Christians, the Body and Bride of Christ? I always marvel at the fact that people, including allot of Christians, think that the outlined description in revelation is going to play out like some kind of video game. When our Christ told us that his second coming will come in a manner equivalent to the days of Noah, and as in the days of lot. People will be marrying, eating, and drinking. This alone should convince people that the mark of the beast is absolutely NOT any physical inscription or engraving in the actual hand or forehead. How would life be "normally" lived, I;e marrying eating and drinking if certain people on earth were being killed for not accepting such a mark. Not sure about anyone else, but I certainly would not be able to eat, drink or think about marriage at a time when most people around me are being forced to retain an oath via inscription, tattoo, or engraving in, or on their person willfully, or be physically murdered. Revelation cannot be 'symbolic' - since it was given to us by JESUS - so that we can KNOW what is going to happen. R1:1 - the very first statement by Jesus. When we consider the Bible - we see that it is FILLED with Repetition. Is Adam created in Genesis chapter 2? Or Chapter 1? Repetition!!! Chronicles repeats Kings. FOUR Gospels all discussing the EXACT same events - from various different perspectives. Revelation REPEATS itself all over the place. Take a look at the 'wrath' of God. In Revelation does it occur at R6:16?; R11:18?; R14:19?; R15:7?; R16:19?; R19:15? These are all the exact same event - from different viewpoints and perspectives. Revelation REPEATS itself constantly. R11:11 - 12 is a description of the 'rapture' - or of 1 Cor 15:52 ALL Christians are caught up to be with Christ. The trumpet (R11:15) is the Last trumpet; the last time any word can be translated as 'trumpet' in scripture; is granted as being a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE MAJOR EVENT - in R10:7 - where it is stated that when this trumpet sounds - the MYSTERY of GOD will be Accomplished - just as He announced to the Prophets! The blowing of this trumpet sounded BEFORE R11:11 - because the perspective and views(s) of Revelation are changing. Revelation REPEATS itself all over... Have you ever noticed that R11:19 and R15:5 are the exact same event - with R15 continuing and expanding on what is happening?? Chapter 12 is NOT Mary giving Birth to Jesus. You are limiting God and what He can accomplish. R12 is a description of the BRIDE - which ALL Christians are called to be part of - and unfortunately few of us do! See R3:7 who is declared that she will be kept from the hour of trial coming upon the whole earth; and she will be given His name! R3:7 - THREE Sevens! Now look at R7; R14; & R21 Each chapter about His Bride who will be protected from the tribulation; contrasted against the vast majority of us who do not meet those qualifications and are going to experience the tribulation; - going to chapter 21 - which is only about the Bride. There are many who will refuse to believe they will go through the tribulation, even though the Bible is very clear about it. They will heap to themselves teachers to itch their ears, who will tell them the fables they want to believe. These are those who instead of making Gods word their delight, and seeking Gods truth earnestly day and night, they go to church and let a pastor tell them what it says and means! Now I love my pastor and believe he is 1000% sincere in his faith, but I still never just except anything taught or preached until I have obeyed Gods word, and prove all things! I hold to what lines up, and put the rest behind. After all, we are not told to be followers of men, but of Christ, and our teacher is not man, but the Holy Spirit of God! Remember, it’s Gods truth, not ours that saves!

Even if the pretribulation rapture is correct, how many Christians qualify as the "wise virgin"? In the West, not even 10% will qualify. Furthermore, tribulation/trials serve both as discipline and refinement. Many western Christians are spoiled little brags who think discipline wasn't meant for them. They will be very disappointed when they see the antichrist and are forced to receive his mark or die.
We are in The Tribulation, It Started About 2000yrs ago and Will Become Greater as We Draw Closer to The Rapture. Tribulation is Satan Attacking God's People. The 4 Horsemen were Given Power Over 25% of The Planet to do Their Evil Deeds, That's The little Part on the Other side of The world where There's always Been Wars, Starvation, Disease, Plagues, Droughts, Fires, etc. and It's Coming here! And Now is! Most People in Churches Today are More Lost than The Lost and Believe They are Saved But Will Only Hear Depart from me You Workers of Iniquity

The two witnesses are Moses and Elijah. Moses stands for the law and Elijah for the prophets. The Jews at the time used to summarize the entire OT as "The law and the prophets". Jesus says in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus that the rich man's family has Moses and the prophets and if they don't listen to them then they won't be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.
This imagery in Revelation is clearly pointing to the Jews rejecting their own scriptures. This is clearly pointing to Jerusalem as well because it says it is in the great city square "where also their Lord (Jesus) was crucified." This all points perfectly to the destruction of Jerusalem, the temple and the people there in 70 AD.
How can you leave out the outer court if it is not a litteral temple?

That's how I see it too. It's the church of Smyrna and the church of Philadelphia. The two lampstands and the two olive branches are not the same thing.

Remember that Jesus referred to John the Baptist as Elijah. I think the two witnesses are both two people and two groups of people: 2 olive branches and 2 lampstands.
Studying this about 30 years ago, I believe the Lord showed me that the two witnesses were more specifically the Gentile believers (Elijah) and the Messianic Jewish believers (Moses). You guys are the only ones I've ever come across who confirm this idea.

Its not only Southern Baptists that are Pre-trib almost all of the Pentecostal denominations hold to pre-trib rapture: Church of God Cleveland, Tenn., Assembly of God, Foursquare Church, Pentecostal Church of God, Pentecostal Holiness Church, and many other others. They also believe if you don't hold to this view you are in serious error.

One thing Greg said. About the temple. He said the part outside the temple is relating to our body NOT PROTECTED. But is it also a reference to the unsaved (the part OUTSIDE the temple) outer court? Who were the two men who appeared with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration? Moses and Elijah. Who were the two men who have experience calling down plagues, drought and darkness on the earth , like those described in Revelation? Moses and Elijah. What is the purpose of the two witnesses? Primarily to witness to the nation of Israel, God's chosen people. Did Enoch have anything to do with Israel ? No. Likely, the two witnesses are Moses and Elijah. Bear in mind that there were also two men in the garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was entombed for three days...and there were also two men at the ascension of Jesus , from the Mount of Olives...not saying that they are Moses and Elijah...only saying it's possible.
In Rev. 1:20 Christ said the word "candlesticks" is a symbol of the "churches" in the Book of Revelation.
In Romans chapter 11 Paul used the two olive trees as a symbol of the New Covenant Church made up of both cultivated and wild olive tree branches grafted together into the same tree.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
They are not Elijah and Moses because they have glorified bodies and could not see death.

There is plenty of false and bad teachings on this fantastic book. Because people are not willing to just READ it and let God teach them. However, when we love Christ and God and although spouting untruth - God gives grace - even with Revelation - since the person is not trying to spout crap. This book is FILLED with truth; Jesus said He gave it to us so that we can KNOW what is going to happen; and it Pleads with us to READ it (R1:3) and BEGS us to learn to HEAR the Holy Spirit EIGHT times. The Holy Spirit wants to teach us about this book... please, please, just gently READ it. Over and Over - until it is opened up to you. It is NOT a scary book - look what Jesus says in R1:17 "Do NOT be Afraid." Jesus wants you to Read and Understand this marvelous prophecy!

The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free{all who survived FIVE MONTHS OF TORMENT-REV 9 BEFORE the 3.5 year TESTIMONY of the two witnesses}, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him{the father} who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb{the son}! Please put a bunch of your study books away... and just READ this marvelous prophecy over and over and over and over again. Till the Holy Spirit opens it up to you!
1260 days is not 3.5 years. 1277 days are 3.5 years. The argument I hear for this is the calendar was different but that does not wash with me because a calendar does not change what a day is or what a year is. A calendar can only change what a week or month is. A day is 1 revolution of the earth and a year is 1 complete orbit around the sun. A calendar cannot change that! So what is the answer?
If the two witnesses that are called the lampstands; and the lampstands represent the church, could they be the two churches Christ was pleased with? Since He was pleased with them they have the power to perform miracles. Acts does say in the last days miracles will take place when God pours out His Spirit on them. Those two faithful churches will walk in God's power to witness Christ to the lost during the last days. Just a thought that came to me.
Used rev 1:20 to say the lampstands are the church. 7 lampstands are seven local chuches in what is now Turkey. Then using this symbolism the two witnesses should be two churches. Yes the chuch will be persecuted but not distroyed (kill them). Why did they ignor verse 12 to 14? Verse 12 sounds like the rapture if these two witnesses are the church. But this will not work for their view as it is not the end of the world as the third woe has not come yet - verse 14. Maybe that is why they ignored these verses. If chapter 11 takes use to end of the world what then is the third woe from verse 14?

That two witnesses never to test die until now
The sacrifice and use of ashes from the red heifers to purify the priest is to perform this ceremony in a physical temple by the Jews. So how is this being ignored. Also measured innner court is for a specific amount of salvation set in scripture for the 144k chosen. The outer court is without measure due to two reasons for the gentile. The two unforgivable sins can only be performed by the last generation. So many will go to and fro until the end as written in book of Daniel. Those who receive the mark or worship the beast shall be removed from the book of life and some who survive and remain faithful shall be written in the book of life until the end.

There are two obvious problems you have mentioned. You said that in Rev. 12:4-6 that the church is who birthed the child. Only Israel could be that unless you believe the church has taken its place. If that is so then who is the remnant in v. 17. This is the church.
Daniel mentioned the time, times, and dividing of times in Revelation 12. In Daniel 12:11, the 1,260 days are counted from one event, the daily sacrifice being taken away and the abomination of desolation being set up. These are one just like the return of Jesus and our being gathered unto him is one (2Thess 2:1) That means that these are literal days. So literal that they have 30 days, then another 45 days added to them. When the LORD counts he is specific.
One last thing. Revelation 11 discusses olive trees. A major scriptural incident that uses these olive trees is Zech. three and four. Joshua the priest and Zerubbabel (both names for Jesus) were called olive trees. Generally, if something is interpreted one way in the Bible, that way should be strongly considered in future passages. Are there any earlier Biblical references for groups of people being olive trees?

Understanding Bible prophecy and specifically the Rapture of the Church: those true believers who belong to Christ Jesus, and the Great Tribulation, and the reign of the Antichrist and False Prophet, and the return of Christ Jesus at His Second Coming, the Millennial Reign of Christ Jesus, and the Great White Throne Judgment, has always been a Bible verse vs. Bible verse battle, and every Christian claims the Bible CLEARLY says…when they try to make their point.
Sadly it seems like two spitting cobras using bible verses as an attack instead of an edification, and the same verses are repeated every time and we are left spinning our wheels and getting nowhere.
I propose a different approach to understanding biblical prophecy and the return of Jesus to Earth. Every Christian should list every future event together and see where theses separate events fit in their timeline. For example: when do we Christians stand before Jesus at the Bema Seat Judgment? And when do we receive our eternal resurrected bodies? And when do we partake in the Marriage of the Lamb and when do others partake in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? And where do all of these separate events happen? Also how does the Two Witnesses and the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel that were sealed by an angel, fit into the timeline and what is their relationship with the Church Christians, the Body and Bride of Christ? When we individually, and using bible verses alone without added opinions, can format the time and place of all of these events, then we can let those events speak for themselves

I always marvel at the fact that people, including allot of Christians, think that the outlined description in revelation is going to play out like some kind of video game. When our Christ told us that his second coming will come in a manner equivalent to the days of Noah, and as in the days of lot. People will be marrying, eating, and drinking. This alone should convince people that the mark of the beast is absolutely NOT any physical inscription or engraving in the actual hand or forehead. How would life be "normally" lived, I;e marrying eating and drinking if certain people on earth were being killed for not accepting such a mark. Not sure about anyone else, but I certainly would not be able to eat, drink or think about marriage at a time when most people around me are being forced to retain an oath via inscription, tattoo, or engraving in, or on their person willfully, or be physically murdered.

Revelation cannot be 'symbolic' - since it was given to us by JESUS - so that we can KNOW what is going to happen. R1:1 - the very first statement by Jesus. Do symbols exist in Revelation - Yes of course. But it is still not a symbolic book. Revelation BEGS us EIGHT times - to learn to HEAR the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is willing and able to teach us about this book and the meanings - rather than constantly going to scripture written ages ago.
When we consider the Bible - we see that it is FILLED with Repetition. Is Adam created in Genesis chapter 2? Or Chapter 1? Repetition!!! Chronicles repeats Kings. FOUR Gospels all discussing the EXACT same events - from various different perspectives. Revelation REPEATS itself all over the place. Take a look at the 'wrath' of God. In Revelation does it occur at R6:16?; R11:18?; R14:19?; R15:7?; R16:19?; R19:15? These are all the exact same event - from different viewpoints and perspectives. Revelation REPEATS itself constantly.
R11:11 - 12 is a description of the 'rapture' - or of 1 Cor 15:52 ALL Christians are caught up to be with Christ. The trumpet (R11:15) is the Last trumpet; the last time any word can be translated as 'trumpet' in scripture; is granted as being a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE MAJOR EVENT - in R10:7 - where it is stated that when this trumpet sounds - the MYSTERY of GOD will be Accomplished - just as He announced to the Prophets! The blowing of this trumpet sounded BEFORE R11:11 - because the perspective and views(s) of Revelation are changing. Revelation REPEATS itself all over... Have you ever noticed that R11:19 and R15:5 are the exact same event - with R15 continuing and expanding on what is happening??
Chapter 12 is NOT Mary giving Birth to Jesus. You are limiting God and what He can accomplish. R12 is a description of the BRIDE - which ALL Christians are called to be part of - and unfortunately few of us do! See R3:7 who is declared that she will be kept from the hour of trial coming upon the whole earth; and she will be given His name! R3:7 - THREE Sevens! Now look at R7; R14; & R21 Each chapter about His Bride who will be protected from the tribulation; contrasted against the vast majority of us who do not meet those qualifications and are going to experience the tribulation; - going to chapter 21 - which is only about the Bride. Please, Please, put your books away - and just READ this wonderful book - and let the Holy Spirit teach you.
