Great teaching as ever. Can I add that the accusation that “National Israel not inheriting the whole of the land actually promised would make God a liar” is erroneous. National Israel did inherit all the land promised - we read about it both in the days of Joshua (Josh 21:43) and in the days of King Solomon (1 Kings 4:21). They subsequently forfeited this land because of their unbelief, but look forward to the day when the whole of the earth will worship The Lord.
Respectfully, Brother, maybe we should read those two verses more carefully. 1. It doesn't say "the land promised to Abraham." It says "the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give UNTO THEIR FATHERS." Where and what is that promise? Exodus 3:8,17 KJB - And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the *Canaanites*, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. [17] And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the *Canaanites*, and the *Hittites*, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites*, unto a land flowing with milk and honey. That is what God promised to their fathers, that is exactly what He did, and it is further clarified in Joshua 23:14 KJVS - "that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake CONCERNING YOU." Again, not Abraham, but "concerning you." 2. What a horrible waste of land if there were 9.5 tribes on the west side of the Jordan, sandwiched between the Jordan and Mediterranean, but only 2.5 tribes on the east side, which was supposed to reach all the way to the Euphrates! (Num 34:15, Josh 14:3, et al) 3. And as for I Kings 4:21, it doesn't say anything AT ALL about the land out to the Euphrates, which would include most of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Syria, and all of Jordan. You won't find a map anywhere that says they (David / Solomon) controlled that land out to the Euphrates. I couldn't find it. Let me know if you can, other than in specialized literature for the Mormons or JWs or some other cult or denomination. I don't think you can use Josh 21:43 or 23:14 in any future discussion on this topic, Brother, if you are an honest man. Those verses do not say what you want them to say. Grace. : )
@@hereticus40 So are you saying that it is true that Israel did not inherit the land promised? ie, you are saying that the fulfilled promises spoken of in Joshua 21:43, is not saying that the land promises were fulfilled and there are still land promises to be fulfilled? If so, what land promise are you referring to which has not been fulfilled?
@@rolysantos thanks for the question, Brother. : ) Israel has NOT YET inherited the full land promised to them. Joshua 21:43 and 23:14 say nothing about the promise to Abraham and are referring to the promises God made to Israel in Exodus 3:8 and 17, which see, and which he kept, and which he says he kept, i.e., a land of milk and honey, the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, etc. As for land promises unfulfilled . . . well, let's see . . . Micah 4:7 KJB - And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them IN MOUNT ZION from henceforth, even for ever. HASN'T HAPPENED YET! God does not reign over them in Mount Zion "even for ever." Amos 9:11-15. READ THE WORDS. The tabernacle of David has not been raised up; the ruins have not been raised; God has not brought the captivity of his people ISRAEL and had them build the waste cities and inhabit them; he has not planted them upon THEIR LAND; and "they shall no more be pulled up out of THEIR LAND which I have given them," HAS NOT HAPPENED YET. Joel 3:16-17 KBJB - The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of HIS PEOPLE, and the strength of the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. [17] So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God DWELLING IN ZION, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. HASN'T HAPPENED YET. Too many strangers pass through her, for one thing. Hosea 2:18-23. READ THE WORDS. Not what you have been told. There has not yet been a covenant with the beasts of the field for them, nor with the fowls of heaven; the bow and sword and the battle has not been taken away so they can lie down safely; they have not been betrothed unto God. NOT YET! Ezekiel 40 - 48, but especially chapter 48. That temple has not yet been built, and the land has never yet been divided up like it says there in chapter 48, which see. Jeremiah 32:37 KJB - Behold, I will gather THEM -- Israel! Not church people in Rock Falls, IL -- out of all countries, whither I have driven THEM -- not Christians in Nigeria -- in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring THEM -- not Christians in Beijing, China -- again unto this place, and I will cause THEM -- not Catholics in Dublin, Ireland -- to dwell safely: God has not yet brought Israel and Judah to Jerusalem and planted them in the land so that they may live safely and peacefully forever. IT HASN'T HAPPENED YET. I can give you dozens and dozens more verses, but I doubt anybody will read all this. ; ) Grace. : )
@@hereticus40 Thanks for the response: 1. Please read my full comment on this page. You are attempting to intepret scripture "Literally," but what you are actually doing is interpreting scripture "earthly/naturally." 2. So what promises to Abraham are you referring to? 3. Romans 4:13 says Abraham was promised he would inherit "the world." Where does it say this in the OT? Obviously, Paul understood something about the promises made to Abraham and what their fulfillment would look like. Likewise, read Hebrews 11. Two things regarding Abraham's expectations of land: (1) Abraham was waiting "for the city...whose builder and maker is God" This is the HEAVENLY (as opposed to the earthly) Jerusalem, where we "HAVE come" (Hebrews 12:22) 8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. (2) Again, God "HAS" prepared a city for them (The Heavenly Jerusalem) 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. 4. a. God IS reigning over Israel, the TRUE Israel, the Israel of God, by faith, both Jew and Gentile, *IN Mount Zion* (Hebrews 12:22) NOTE: Read Isaiah 49 and find out who is the TRUE Israel, the ONLY Israel. And only by faith in HIM is ANY person "The Israel of God." Notice, what "Israel" will do: 1. Bring back the remnant of jacob/Israel (earthly) I HAVE KEPT (this is the remnant of Romans 11 who DID obtain what they sought after. 2. Bring in the Gentiles! This HAS happened! Acts 1 we see the restoration of the remnant of Israel. Acts 10 and 11 we see the inclusion of the gentiles marked by them receiving the Holy Spirit, just as the Jews did. b. The tabernacle of David HAS BEEN raised up. John 1:14 literally says "The word was made flesh and TABERNACLED among us." Read Acts 2:24-36 Especially v30. The resurection of Jesus WAS the fulfillment of "raising up the tabernacle." 30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him *that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, HE WOULD RAISE UP THE CHRIST TO SIT ON HIS THRONE* 31 he, foreseeing this, *spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ* that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. 33 Therefore being exalted [j]to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. Read Acts 13:32-37 Again, the resurrection of Jesus is the fulfillment of "the sure mercies of David." And what are "the sure mercies of David? 2 Samuel 7 12 “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, *I will set up your seed after you* who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. *He shall build a house for My name* and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. Jesus is the seed! Jesus is who "the promises were made to SEED meaning ONE" Jesus IS building a "House" called "The Church." FOUNDED UPOND ISRAEL, with Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone, as Ephesians 2 tells us. God only has ONE house (1 Timothy 3:15) the Church! Again, please read my full comment regarding the biblical dicotomy of scripture which is NOT "Literal" vs "Spiritual" interpretation, but "Earthly/Natural" vs "Heavenly/Spiritual" BOTH literal! The Jerusalem below is literal, but it's earthly natural and is in bondage. The Jerusalem above is literal, but it's Heavenly/Spiritual, and SHE "is the mother of us all." I could say much more but I'll leave it here.
@@hereticus40 please read 1Kings 4:21 again and tell me how “from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt” doesn’t comply with the covenant promise?
Many Jews eyes are open now to the fact that Jesus is their Messiah! No all unbelievers will go through Tribulation not just the Jews the unbelieving Gentiles to! Many eyes will open during Tribulation and there is many who will not come to the lord so sad! That is how we know their is a Rapture for God's children for God comes and takes us out of here... Tribulation is for nonbelievers! Not we who believe He will come and save us from Tribulation!
11:19 - respectfully, I question your reasoning here, Brothers. It is talking ABOUT JEWS, and whether A JEW is inwardly or outwardly A JEW. If I said only green M&Ms are real M&Ms, you would look at the M&Ms to see which are green and thus real, because we're talking about M&Ms. A green Skittle doesn't become a real M&M just because it's green! It failed from the beginning because it was never an M&M to begin with. And ditto the Gentiles. You can't pass the "real Jew test" because you failed it from the very start, being a Gentile and not a Jew. JEWS that are Jews inwardly are real Jews, and no disparate group of Gentiles will ever be real Jews. Grace. : )
At sometime in the future the Lord Jesus will descend on the Mount of Olives. When He arrives He will fight for Israel who will be under attack by the surrounding nations. Needless to say the Lord will be victorious over over the nations. When that day happens whose side do you want to be on? Ever since the beginning of the church age the Jews have been persecuted by those claiming to be followers of Christ but the Lord says that situation will not last forever. Zechariah 14:1-4 A day of the LORD is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls. 2I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. 3Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle. 4On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. Shalom
Here's how I see it! All scripture is a shadow of what God has planed for his children/his chosen people/his called out assembly. The promised land of milk and honey will be living with him as it was supposed to be like in the garden of Edom. That's about as simple as I can put it!
I checked out your church website. There is no mention of elders, pastoral staff, deacons, people identifying as theologians.... Do you have a pastor? Are you ashamed to publish his name? Is he hiding from the authorities? Where did he go to school? DID he go to school? Who are these two commentators? Did THEY go to school? Where would that be? I'd appreciate any help you can provide.
Not true it is the mother of the child who makes him Jewish, Hagar was not a Jew She was Muslim. They both were Abrahams seed, But one was a was born to a Handmadien and one was a jew who the promise was made to! The promise was made to Arbraham and Issac not Abraham and Hagar who gave birth to Ishmael who was Muslim! They are taking the Bible out of context. Do not be decieved.
The #1 problem with Dispensationalism, I believe, is what they refer to as "Literal" vs "Spiritual" interpretation. This is an erroneous dichotomy. The biblical dichotomy is EARTHLY/NATURAL fulfillments (In Adam, Old Testament) vs Heavenly/Spiritual fulfillments (In Christ, New Testament) *BOTH Literal!* See 1 Corinthians 15 where Paul explains how Adam was "of the earth" and Jesus is the man from heaven. And how the spiritual does not come first but the natural, THEN the spiritual! Earthly/Natural Israel, received the Old Covenant to obey (In Adam). There was an earthly/natural Jerusalem and earthly/natural rituals such as circumcision. *The Earthly/Natural Israel FAILED* They DID receive Land/Seed/Blessings from God (see Nehemiah 9) But they failed to keep the covenant (If a man does these things, he will live by them) so God took away their inheritance, just as He said He would (Jeremiah 17:4) "And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage (Inheritance) that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever." Heritage - Strongs H5159 "nachalah" possession, property, inheritance, heritage property portion, share *inheritance, portion* The earthly/natural throne of David was "cast to the ground." (Psalm 89:44) So did God's promises to "Israel" fail? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus IS fulfilling the promises to the TRUE Israel (those in Him both Jew and Gentile) 1. The promises, the ULTIMATE promises, were made to ONE; Jesus Christ! The TRUE Israel (Galatians 3:16) See also Isaiah 49 where God calls "The Servant" (Jesus ) "Israel" And what will the true Israel do? He will bring back the remnant of Jacob/Israel (natural Israel) I HAVE KEPT (The remnant of Romans 11) He will also bring the gentiles in! 2. Hebrews speaks of "Better Promises" contrasting the "Shadows" of the OT to the "Reality" of the NEW Testament! Abraham and those in the hall of faith were NOT looking for an earthly land , they: " were longing for a better country- *A HEAVENLY ONE* Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them." 3. And God HAS prepared a city for them; A HEAVENLY Jerusalem where we "HAVE come" (not will come) (Hebrews 12:22) The OT Jerusalem is earthly/natural and is "In bondage" while the HEAVENLY Jerusalem above is FREE and "is the mother of us all" (Galatians 4) New testament Circumcision is "By the SPIRIT." 4. Jesus, the True Israel, IS ON David's Throne, now, fulfilling all of God's promises! There are no more earthly/natural promises to fulfill to an earthly/natural Israel. ALL of God's promises, ALL of them, IN CHRIST are "Yes and Amen!" Yes, there is only ONE House of God, The Church (1 Timothy 3:15) and ISRAEL is the foundation of the ONE house "With Jesus Christ as the cornerstone" (Ephesians 2) There is ONE Israel Tree! God chopped the tree down and left "Only a stump in the land" (Isaiah 6) *It is into this Israel stump that gentiles are grafted INTO* I don't know how dispensationalists get around this fact! One House! One Tree! One Body! One Bride! The church did not " replace" israel, the church is founded UPON Israel!
New Covenant Whole Gospel: Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Watch the TH-cam videos “The New Covenant” by David Wilkerson, or Bob George, and David H.J. Gay. =============== In Matthew chapter 21 Jesus said the "son" is the "heir" to the land and the kingdom would be taken from those who reject the "chief cornerstone" and it would be given to another nation bearing fruit. See the "holy nation" that are "now the people of God" in 1 Peter 2:4-10. Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Heb 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
Respectfully, Brother, I appreciate your use of scripture to back up what you choose to believe, as most Christians can't even do that now days, but are you trying to find scripture to prove your view, or are you trying to find The Truth and then changing your view to match the scripture? 1. Jeremiah 31:31 KJB says the LORD will make "a new covenant with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL and with the HOUSE OF JUDAH." It does not say anything about hillbillies in Tennessee or lithium miners in Africa or farmers in China. HOUSE OF ISRAEL and HOUSE OF JUDAH. I suspect you are not either of those; most of the church is not. Additionally, the Bible makes it clear that Gentiles had nothing to do with God at that time. (Eph 2:12) 2. Then you berate people that don't witness to the Jews -- which is correct -- but *IF* you believe we are under the new covenant, we are not supposed to witness to them! Jere 31:34 -- And they shall TEACH NO MORE every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: FOR THEY SHALL ALL KNOW ME, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD ..." Can't have both, Brother. Either we are under Israel's new covenant and not supposed to witness, or we are not under Israel's new covenant. Which is it? 3. The word "covenant" is not in II Corinthians 3:6, as you try to claim. In fact, it is not in that whole chapter, nor that whole book, neither is it in I Corinthians. II Cor 3:6 does talk about a *new testament*, but that is different from a covenant. A testament is in effect after the death of the testator (Heb 9:17), whereas you and I can enter a covenant today and have it take effect while we are both alive. The problem is that you are probably using one of the PER versions, instead of the King James Bible. 4. Finally, using the book of HEBREWS to teach GENTILE doctrine seems a little . . . contradictory, no? PAUL is the apostle, teacher and preacher to the Gentiles (I Tim 2:7). Peter and the boys agreed that they would go to the circumcision (Hebrews), while Paul and Barnabas would go to the heathen (Us). They even shook on it! (Gal 2:9). Paul, our apostle, never told us we were under a covenant, but Paul does tell us the covenants PERTAIN TO THE ISRAELITES (Rom 9:4). 5. Finally, finally, I Peter 2 is Peter writing to ISRAEL! See Gal 2:9. They shook hands on Peter and James and John going to the circumcision, while Paul and Barnabas would go the heathen. That doesn't help your case. 6. Finally, finally, finally, could the nation that Jesus would give the kingdom to be the "little flock" of Luke 12:32? Doesn't he say "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure TO GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM." Is he taking the kingdom from the Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes and elders of that time and giving it to his disciples? Grace, Brother. : )
@@hereticus40 1. Peter addressed the crowd as "all the house of Israel" on the Day of Pentecost, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. There were zero Gentiles in the Church on that day. The Gentiles were grafted in several years later. Paul said we are to avoid using "genealogies" in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9. My DNA has nothing to do with my relationship with God. The King of Israel has covered me with His blood. However, you are trying to divide the people of the Church into groups based on race. Paul had to correct Peter for this error in the Book of Galatians. 2. The Holy Spirit is the Master teacher of those now in the New Covenant. See the promise and fulfillment of the teacher below. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 3. Paul used the same Greek word "diatheke" in 2 Corinthians 3:6 that is translated as "covenant" in Hebrews 12:24 of the KJV. It is the original Hebrew and Greek text that is the Word of God. The Word of God existed long before 1611. 4. It was Paul's main mission to take the Gospel to the Gentiles found in Galatians 1:14-18, even though Peter took the Gospel first to the house of Cornelius. Paul was still sharing the Gospel with the Jews in Rome in Acts chapter 28. Who do you think wrote the Book of Hebrews? It was Paul who was the educated Bible scholar. He spoke of the "two covenants" in Galatians 4:24-31 and compared the Sinai Covenant to "bondage". 5. Once again you are ignoring what Peter said happened at the house of Cornelius. Act 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 6. Jesus told Nicodemus a person must be "born again" of the Spirit of God in order to inherit the "kingdom of God". Jesus did not tell Nicodemus there are two separate kingdoms of God based on race. 7. Watch the TH-cam video "Genesis of Dispensational Theology" if you want to see the original source of the doctrine in black and white. It came from a book written by a Roman Catholic Jesuit priest named Manual Lacunza. It was translated into English by Edward Irving and Irving taught doctrine from the book at the Albury Prophetic conference about 1826. John Darby taught the doctrine at the Powerscourt Prophetic conference a few years later. After Irving died during 1834 Darby became the chief promoter of the doctrine.
@@SpotterVideo Sorry, quick trip to Denver and back. 1. True, your DNA has nothing to do with your relationship with God right now, and I never said otherwise. But in the PAST, it did. See Eph 2:12, explaining that Gentiles were aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, having no hope, WITHOUT GOD AND WITHOUT CHRIST. Then it was based on your DNA, or, more specifically, being circumcised. And I'm not dividing the church into anything. There is neither Jew nor Greek . . . IN CHRIST JESUS. (Gal 3:28) Outside of Jesus Christ there is still Jew and Greek. (1 Cor 10:32) 2. No. Jesus was speaking to the Jews in John, while Paul, who is the apostle, preacher and teacher to the Gentiles, tells us to STUDY to show ourselves approved. (II Tim 2:15) If the Holy Spirit was in charge, would there really be so many divisions? Both of your verses are to the JEWS, of course. 3. Original Hebrew and Greek is the word of God? Doesn't do me any good because I don't speak or read either of those. So you don't have the word of God today? Sorry, Brother, but I'm holding it in my hands right now, and I trust every word in it. And while the Word of God existed before 1611, since 1611 this is the Word of God for English speaking peoples. 4. Not sure what you are trying to say in Point 4, but Paul was dealing with lost Jews, saved Jews, lost Gentiles and saved Gentiles. As he said himself, he was trying to be all things to all men so that he might save some. And while he spoke of two covenants, nowhere does he say we are under a covenant. Again, he says the covenants pertain to Israel. (Rom 9:4). Do you disagree with Paul about that? 5. I'm not ignoring anything. You quote two verses . . . so what? 6. Yep, Jesus told Nicodemus, a ruler of the JEWS, that he must be born again. No one ever told you, a Gentile, that you had to be born again. Paul never tells the Gentiles they need to be born again, but Jesus said it to Jews before Paul and Peter said it again to Jews after Paul. 7. Don't care. I read my Bible, and I see it in my Bible, very clearly. Never touched a Schofield Bible and never heard of Darby until a few years ago, and there is not a single commentary in my house. I see it in the King James Bible and that is good enough for me. : ) Respectfully, Brother, you make a lot of arguments and you use a fair amount of scripture, which I respect, but you are not PRECISE. We have to read that book like a law book and not round off the edges that don't support our doctrine. I read the Bible, and then shape my doctrine around whatever I see, and I have to change it occasionally to match what the Bible says. Nothing personal. Just growing in wisdom and knowledge. Grace.
The land to national Israel that they possessed was only under the law and not according to promise. The covenant of the law is ended in Christ, so is the small plot of land to national Israel at an end.
Just started this . But scripture makes it clear God fulfilled his promise with the land but they lost it due to thier sin just like they lost Jerusalem ad 70
Also, Christians are "Biblical Israel." This is made clear in canonical NT Scripture as well in centuries of writing by early Church Fathers. There's a Wikipedia page called "Supersessionism" that summarizes these matters and refers to passages in Scripture and in early Christian writings.@@josiahstallings359
@@Mendezfarriercompany306 respectfully, Brother, where does scripture make it "clear" that "God fulfilled his promise with the land"? Can't use Josh 21:43 or 23:14, because those are referring to the promises made to their fathers in Exodus 3:8 and 17, that he would lead them out of Egypt and into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, etc. -- which is exactly what he did, and he states it repeatedly -- and says nothing about the promises to Abraham and the land all the way out to the Euphrates. And can't use I Kings 4:21, like the brother above did, because that's not even a third of what God promised Abraham. An honest man would not use this argument with these verses again, now that it's been cleared up. Grace. : )
@hereticus40 so does the sin adam committed not fall on his descendents? Does does a son not inherent what was his father's? To say no would be a lie. Or just not informed?. The sons would of inherited from the fathers. To say that a new born Hebrew child gets the land the fathers lost due to thier sin , because he was not born is to be ill-informed They lost it because they did not keep thier end of the bargain (for a lack of better words)
Davidic convenant/Kingdom includes the Queen of the Kingdom, who is the Mother of the King, If you hold that Jesus is the King of the Kingdom, then Mary is the Queen.
Once you allude to replacement theology, it disqualifies anything else you to say! We’re all one in Y’Shua Jesus, and must go through Him for salvation, but your refusal to differentiate the church from Israel is misleading, deceptive, and incorrect!! And then you stand on some high horse and in condescending fashion, knock down any other interpretation! Shame on you! You’re messing up countless steps along the way!

God's Chosen People, The Children of Promise, The Israel of God Sermon by Pastor Chuck Baldwin
That is what God promised to their fathers, that is exactly what He did, and it is further clarified in Joshua 23:14 KJVS - "that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake CONCERNING YOU." Again, not Abraham, but "concerning you."
2. What a horrible waste of land if there were 9.5 tribes on the west side of the Jordan, sandwiched between the Jordan and Mediterranean, but only 2.5 tribes on the east side, which was supposed to reach all the way to the Euphrates! (Num 34:15, Josh 14:3, et al)
Grace. : )

So are you saying that it is true that Israel did not inherit the land promised?
ie, you are saying that the fulfilled promises spoken of in Joshua 21:43, is not saying that the land promises were fulfilled and there are still land promises to be fulfilled?
If so, what land promise are you referring to which has not been fulfilled?
@@rolysantos thanks for the question, Brother. : )
Israel has NOT YET inherited the full land promised to them.
God does not reign over them in Mount Zion "even for ever."
Amos 9:11-15.
Not church people in Rock Falls, IL -- out of all countries, whither I have driven THEM -- not Christians in Nigeria -- in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring THEM -- not Christians in Beijing, China -- again unto this place, and I will cause THEM -- not Catholics in Dublin, Ireland -- to dwell safely:
God has not yet brought Israel and Judah to Jerusalem and planted them in the land so that they may live safely and peacefully forever. IT HASN'T HAPPENED YET.
I can give you dozens and dozens more verses, but I doubt anybody will read all this. ; )

Thanks for the response:
1. Please read my full comment on this page.
You are attempting to intepret scripture "Literally," but what you are actually doing is interpreting scripture "earthly/naturally."
Two things regarding Abraham's expectations of land:
(1) Abraham was waiting "for the city...whose builder and maker is God"
This is the HEAVENLY (as opposed to the earthly) Jerusalem, where we "HAVE come" (Hebrews 12:22)
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
(2) Again, God "HAS" prepared a city for them (The Heavenly Jerusalem)
16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
4.
a. God IS reigning over Israel, the TRUE Israel, the Israel of God, by faith, both Jew and Gentile, *IN Mount Zion* (Hebrews 12:22)
NOTE: Read Isaiah 49 and find out who is the TRUE Israel, the ONLY Israel. And only by faith in HIM is ANY person "The Israel of God."
Notice, what "Israel" will do:
John 1:14 literally says "The word was made flesh and TABERNACLED among us."
Read Acts 2:24-36
Especially v30. The resurection of Jesus WAS the fulfillment of "raising up the tabernacle."
30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him
*that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, HE WOULD RAISE UP THE CHRIST TO SIT ON HIS THRONE*
31 he, foreseeing this, *spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ* that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.
32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
33 Therefore being exalted [j]to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.
Read Acts 13:32-37
Again, the resurrection of Jesus is the fulfillment of "the sure mercies of David."
And what are "the sure mercies of David?
2 Samuel 7
12 “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, *I will set up your seed after you* who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.
*He shall build a house for My name* and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
Jesus is the seed!
Jesus is who "the promises were made to SEED meaning ONE"
Jesus IS building a "House" called "The Church." FOUNDED UPOND ISRAEL, with Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone, as Ephesians 2 tells us.
The Jerusalem above is literal, but it's Heavenly/Spiritual, and SHE "is the mother of us all."
I could say much more but I'll leave it here.
@@hereticus40 please read 1Kings 4:21 again and tell me how “from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt” doesn’t comply with the covenant promise?
God's Chosen People are those who come out from The Great Tribulation The Great multitude
Jesus died for all men. The father wants all to come to salvation.
Grace. : )
So, do you believe in Replacement Theology? I didn't think so until now.
Zechariah 14:1-4
A day of the LORD is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls.

Broader Israel James1:1
The #1 problem with Dispensationalism, I believe, is what they refer to as "Literal" vs "Spiritual" interpretation.
This is an erroneous dichotomy.
The biblical dichotomy is EARTHLY/NATURAL fulfillments (In Adam, Old Testament)
vs
Heavenly/Spiritual fulfillments (In Christ, New Testament)
*BOTH Literal!*
See 1 Corinthians 15 where Paul explains how Adam was "of the earth" and Jesus is the man from heaven.
And how the spiritual does not come first but the natural, THEN the spiritual!
Earthly/Natural Israel, received the Old Covenant to obey (In Adam).
There was an earthly/natural Jerusalem and earthly/natural rituals such as circumcision.
*The Earthly/Natural Israel FAILED*
They DID receive Land/Seed/Blessings from God (see Nehemiah 9)
But they failed to keep the covenant (If a man does these things, he will live by them) so God took away their inheritance, just as He said He would (Jeremiah 17:4)
"And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage (Inheritance) that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever."
Heritage - Strongs H5159 "nachalah"
possession, property, inheritance, heritage
property
portion, share
*inheritance, portion*
The earthly/natural throne of David was "cast to the ground." (Psalm 89:44)
So did God's promises to "Israel" fail?
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus IS fulfilling the promises to the TRUE Israel (those in Him both Jew and Gentile)
1. The promises, the ULTIMATE promises, were made to ONE; Jesus Christ! The TRUE Israel (Galatians 3:16)
See also Isaiah 49 where God calls "The Servant" (Jesus ) "Israel"
And what will the true Israel do?
He will bring back the remnant of Jacob/Israel (natural Israel) I HAVE KEPT (The remnant of Romans 11)
He will also bring the gentiles in!
2. Hebrews speaks of "Better Promises" contrasting the "Shadows" of the OT to the "Reality" of the NEW Testament!
Abraham and those in the hall of faith were NOT looking for an earthly land , they:
" were longing for a better country- *A HEAVENLY ONE* Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them."
3. And God HAS prepared a city for them; A HEAVENLY Jerusalem where we "HAVE come" (not will come) (Hebrews 12:22)
The OT Jerusalem is earthly/natural and is "In bondage" while the HEAVENLY Jerusalem above is FREE and "is the mother of us all" (Galatians 4)
New testament Circumcision is "By the SPIRIT."
4. Jesus, the True Israel, IS ON David's Throne, now, fulfilling all of God's promises!
There are no more earthly/natural promises to fulfill to an earthly/natural Israel.
ALL of God's promises, ALL of them, IN CHRIST are "Yes and Amen!"
Yes, there is only ONE House of God, The Church (1 Timothy 3:15) and ISRAEL is the foundation of the ONE house "With Jesus Christ as the cornerstone" (Ephesians 2)
There is ONE Israel Tree! God chopped the tree down and left "Only a stump in the land" (Isaiah 6)
*It is into this Israel stump that gentiles are grafted INTO*
I don't know how dispensationalists get around this fact!
One House!
One Tree!
One Body!
One Bride!
The church did not " replace" israel, the church is founded UPON Israel!
New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49?
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18.

In Matthew chapter 21 Jesus said the "son" is the "heir" to the land and the kingdom would be taken from those who reject the "chief cornerstone" and it would be given to another nation bearing fruit.
(Eph 2:12)

(1 Cor 10:32)
Respectfully, Brother, you make a lot of arguments and you use a fair amount of scripture, which I respect, but you are not PRECISE.
Very interesting. I’ve never heard that perspective before.
To say that a new born Hebrew child gets the land the fathers lost due to thier sin , because he was not born is to be ill-informed
They lost it because they did not keep thier end of the bargain (for a lack of better words)
Davidic convenant/Kingdom includes the Queen of the Kingdom, who is the Mother of the King, If you hold that Jesus is the King of the Kingdom, then Mary is the Queen.

Once you allude to replacement theology, it disqualifies anything else you to say! We’re all one in Y’Shua Jesus, and must go through Him for salvation, but your refusal to differentiate the church from
Israel is misleading, deceptive, and incorrect!! And then you stand on some high horse and in condescending fashion, knock down any other interpretation! Shame on you! You’re messing up countless steps along the way!
