Denise wonderful to see your glowing and radiant face 😊, like Chateau de Purnon you too can clean up the bakery and once again bring this back to life with the fresh smell of French baguettes and breads, certainly Nouri keep Brett very busy and maybe young Harry as he needs to get into the bread oven to check it out. Thank you for the journey of discovery, you have been so busy it is great that you get a chance to explore. Be safe, take care and Giddy Bless you all. 😇🙏🤩🏰
Restoring the bakery will be wonderful way to pay homage to the magnificent French artisans of old - and even today bake beautiful bread. it would be a real drawcard to show off the history of baking at the Chateau
I love the bakery. I'm begging you, PLEASE restore it! Maybe one day you could serve artisanal bread to your guests, or maybe have a farmstand with fresh-grown organic produce from the chateau gardens along with breads and pastries from the chateau bakery. It's fun to think about. 😊
I'm always in awe of your Château grounds. So many fantastic outbuildings. Yes, costly to turn into something brilliant, which I've no doubt, you will in due course. Thank you ever so much for continuously sharing your journey with us.
So many treasures seem to unfold to tell a glimpse of story in the Chateau’s productive and beautiful past! Skilled masters of many Crafts may be imagined🌟
It must be magical opening different areas and finding treasures like the bakery. Your chateau seems to be in a better condition to others I watch. It’s beautiful 🤗
It would be great to see all the finds from years gone by either used again or put into a museum in one of the outbuildings. Labelling what they, if known, and where they were found. So much fun exploring all the hidden treasures with you.
Please for the love of god and everything historical…..please bring the bakery back to life!!! What amazing history and craftsmanship, you can’t let that fall to ruins!!!
Wow, the bakery was so interesting! How nice that it is part of your estate. The hairdressing tools are something else! Both places would be wonderful made into museums for tours……in the future! Such treasures!! Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻
I love your old bakery!! Following you for a while Denise, I can imagine you could do something very special with this space whilst respecting the history! It’s so interesting, so thank you for showing us. Despite the weather, you know how to highlight the beautiful landscape and buildings.
I heard that the existing bread ovens in France are protected so spending the time to restore the Oven and the Bread kitchen would be amazing, especially if you could once again use it, if only to make pizza, Stone Oven pizza for guests. I love your video's Denise! What a magical place you live in, surrounded by history and making sure it has a future. That might be the best preserved Bread Kitchen I have seen that has not already been restored. You are quite fortunate to have it in such good condition after 200+ years.
As the bakery is near the stables, with the treasures that you have found, I wonder if the hairdressing items were for the horses? Love your videos and following your chateau progress 💫
It’s wonderful how everything has been kept. The Marcel waving irons in the hairdressing box bought back memories. Even though they were old fashioned we still had to learn to use them.! Burn myself or my model, usually me🤣🤣 Thereafter always hated even modern curling irons etc. Your new living room will be beautiful . Can’t wait to see it finished. Although I trust you are still full of ideas to keep the boys busy. It will be sad not to see them. Hurry home Brett 👏👏🥳🥳🥳🤞🤞❤❤
Hi Denise & Brett, Absolutely loved seeing the old hairdressing tools ! They might be part of the chateau’s history Denise, but really they’re not as old as you think 😊 My mum would curl mine & my three sister’s hair, with the same curling iron! The iron would go into an open fire 🔥 & mum would always check if they were to hot 🥵 by putting a piece of brown paper between them 😮 I’ve been a fully qualified hairdresser for a long time! The glass measuring vessel is for measuring peroxide & I also had the same curve scissors, that’s in the bucket 🪣
Plz restore the bakery! Are u going to make holiday rentals out of the Roll of buildings? Oh my the bread oven is in perfect condition I would have already cleaned it up so ur crew can try and make pizza and beer on Friday nights! It would be wonderful for a treat for them and get them all involved 😊😊❤
The bread oven is gorgeous Denise. A lovely piece of history. Special find with the hair dressing tools. It’s like finding little treasures. Happy Sunday everyone.💕💫💕
hola! ya estoy imaginando reformado y operativo para que lo disfrutéis, se ve en buenas condiciones y los artículos que dejaron te llevan al pasado muy mágico. 🏰✨️
Wow, new areas to bring back to life, along with your soon to be personal living room! Lots going on as always at the Chateau! Can't wait to see what you do with the Old Bakery, if those walls could talk...All those hair tools and other treasures sure do bring more of the Chateau's past to light! Till next time! 👏👏👏
I love the way you shoot and narrate your videos Denise. You draw us in! I bet some of the ways bread was cooked in the old bakery are similar to how they are baked today. In America we have a ‘ I can do it in a better way’ mentality which I don’t always appreciate.
I am so glad you like my narration Denise. Thank you so much for your feedback ♥️ The mentality is interesting. Yes I think it could lead to both. Motivation or procrastination. 🫢 Have a nice evening x
Still so many places to explore in your chateau. the bakery is a fascinating piece of history. Do you know yet what you are going to do with this room?
Wow..the bread oven!!! Too bad you couldn't find an artisan baker who is familiar with old ways of baking and who would be wililng to startup a new chateau bakery. Wow.
We love the bakery building! I would restore it so others could tour the chateau and get a glimpse into the past. By the way, do you have enough heat/warmth during the fall and winter months.
Wow looks like most of what u need to cook bread is still there , that included the Bread Paddles or peels . Buckets too u could one day clean it all up and try cooking some it be neat . So many things to find there and so many kept Antiques too . Do u get snow there in the Winter ? take care Denise and thank u for the update . 🥰❤
zo mooie historiche materialen ik zou deze verkopen aan een museum van bakkers zodat ze nog een mooie plek ergens krijgen of Drew Prichard deze zou zeker nog veel schatten van op zolder bij jullie een nieuwe thuis kunnen geven
I remember going to a old ladies from school to do odd jobs. She gave me the curling iron just like that. So I put them in the coal fire, made it too hot and singed my bloody hair😂
I don't think they work if you aren't filming them Denise, I think they sit around watching 'The Young And The Restless' on their smartphones and eat bonbon's if you aren't watching... For that water feature you just need a statue of a horse fountain!!! If Brett wants to get horses here has he looked at 'The Moons'??? They have a channel and Sadie Petherick got her horses there Sadie is the sister of Billy and Michael Petherick of Doing It Ourselves and The Pethericks...The save show horses!!!

I can definitely see that old horse wash. Being restored into the best dog wash on TH-cam..

Denise l love listening to your voice when u are describing things about your chateau or your very hard workers .
How exciting

What a magical room gazing into the past …… your property if brimming with possibilities for your business
It must be magical opening different areas and finding treasures like the bakery. Your chateau seems to be in a better condition to others I watch. It’s beautiful 🤗
Hope you restore the bread oven area someday. It’s beautiful 😍😘
Chateau Purnon has a functioning bread oven from that era. You might talk to them about restoring it. They actually cook bread and pastries in it.
It would be great to see all the finds from years gone by either used again or put into a museum in one of the outbuildings. Labelling what they, if known, and where they were found. So much fun exploring all the hidden treasures with you.
🇦🇺🦘loved watching the bakery where time stood still. ❤
♥️
I hope one day you are able to restore the bakery and oven. It’s beautiful. Your entire chateau is magical!
Please for the love of god and everything historical…..please bring the bakery back to life!!! What amazing history and craftsmanship, you can’t let that fall to ruins!!!
The ovens and everything in thier as they left it. Cool history. Work carries on.😅❤
🥰🤗
What a walk in another time! Priceless!❤
🤍
Thank you for another interesting episode 🌸🌸🌸 looking forward to the next one 😊 greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
Thank you! Hope the weather is better in denmark! 🇩🇰 It’s rainy and grey but I am embracing the European Autumn 🍂✨🍂☺️🥰😘
The bakery is in remarkable condition. Maybe we will see it in use again as Tim and Flick have at Purnon.
Wow the curling iron! Such treasures 🤍
It must be a dream still waking up in a beautiful Chateau 😊...

These ones are for human hair as my grandmother remembered these ones as well. :)
The bakery same day would be so cool to restore and get working . Everything is looking so good . Love it
Love seeing the living room come to life!
You have a museum of wonderful items of history. The bread oven looks like it’s in pretty good condition. You bought a treasure of an estate. ❤
Denise, you have a lovely voice for narrating and storytelling.
Interesting finds and in quite good condition too. :)

Fantastic work!
The oven is awesome. Will u ever try to get the oven up and running again ❤
Crazy that hairdressing was done in the bakery!? Not what I would consider hygienic but certainly cost and warm.
Most likely just moved in there after all but nice to look at it. :)
The bread oven is gorgeous Denise. A lovely piece of history. Special find with the hair dressing tools. It’s like finding little treasures. Happy Sunday everyone.💕💫💕
Yes the oven is so very big! enormous. They had lots to put in! 🪵🏰✨ Happy Sunday ♥️

I think it would be cool if you fix the old.Bakery up and set it up by the museum .
It be wonderful to restore that bakery. People love sourdough bread baking. Maybe you could include classes at the chateau?

Oh fix it and bake the fabulous bread.

Bread oven looks good inside. I hope you clean it up and use it.
The bakery is a beautiful piece of history. Are you going to restore it to some degree?
I could see me making bread & pizza in there. So fascinating! ❤
Yeah! Thank you for sharing a little history of your home.
