    "Each tenth of a second counts"....THIS. Lots of people don't realize a tenth of a second equals roughly a car length, so, they matter when you're racing. 👍

      100 pounds less normally = 10th of a second as well

    • @pitbullmukhtar
      @pitbullmukhtar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A 10th of a second won't be a car length on a 60-130😂 It won't even be a car length on a quarter mile.

    • @scarce331
      @scarce331 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @pitbullmukhtar8148 60mph you move 8.8 ft every tenth of a second, 120mph you move 17.6 ft every tenth of a second. If you take a 110mph trap car that crosses a tenth of a second before another 110mph car there will be about a 15ft gap between them.
      Obviously more to it than that but every tenth is roughly equal to a car length for most scenarios. You are correct of 60-130 though a tenth definitely doesn't equal a car length for that

    Interesting stuff. At those higher speeds the shift points don’t really have much difference. I think we’ll definitely see bigger differences with 0-60, with the much more aggressive shifting in track mode.
    I like the exhaust sound of track mode with the higher RPM’s in general, but I like the mileage in sport.

      If you want more consistent runs I would start from 40 to 55. You can't really start at 60. If you focus on being on 60 when you floor it your times will be all over the place. Because it's gonna start time the instant you bump 60. At least from my experience it gets sketchy especially when you are recording in one hand like he is. Better off just starting early and being in your shift already.

    This test doesn't prove anything - here's why: Take a look at a dyno sheet for a stock 392. At 3500rpm you may only be pushing 250hp. So if you compare a Sport Mode launch from 4500 rpms and compare it to a Track Mode launch from 3500 rpm you're going to think (incorrectly) that "sport mode was faster!"
    You should launch from a consistent rpm and that should be at least 5000 rpms, and really 5500 rpms. Then compare your track mode to your sport mode, launching it from the same rpm's each time.

  • @camonly849
    @camonly849 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Don't think of the 60-130 like a 0-60. The idea behind the 60 -130 is that you are already accelerating, not - you start accelerating at 60.
    Think of it as a 0-130 if that helps. What's the fastest possible way your car can do 60-130..
