I went to Korea for a year and ended up working and living 20 years. The food and entertainment and dynamic lifestyle were half the reason. Korea is a great country and should be on most people's bucket list.
Are you having a good trip? I miss you and yours so much while watching the video. Thank you for letting me know that England is a country of gentlemen. This is Anna.
YAY !! Anna we love you !! Thank you for watching the videos - but thank you for being such a wonderful friend to us and making us feel so welcome 💕💃🇬🇧🇰🇷🙏 Sending lots of love to you and your family and we hope lots of people come to meet you and visit you 🌷🌺 lots of love Marianne and Chris xx
The silver zone is similar to the school zone and must pass at a speed of 30 km/h or less. Near the silver zone, there are nursing homes, senior citizen centers, and welfare facilities for the elderly, so there are many elderly people.
You've really motivated me to want to visit Korea. It looks so beautiful and the most wonderful people! Going to see Ana is at the top of the list, she's delightful, love her. Travel on kids!
Love seeing Marianne smile to herself at times as if to say " Is this really my life?.. isn't this amazing!"... what a beautiful episode- friendship, food, culture and mother nature doing her thing!!
Koreans especially have good feelings about the British people. My teacher told me about the experiences of British soldiers who came to participate in the Korean War, and the British officer who came out of the village search testified that he treated civilians politely even if he searched the house with the permission of the chief.
I have visited Korea a few times in last several years. Nevertheless driving there is out of the question. I am flabbergasted to see a visiting foreigner driving a right side steering wheeled vehicle so gracefully.
Korea just keeps getting better and better. Your video and dialogue has certainly captured my interest. What a stunning part of the world it is with beautiful architecture and absolutely spectacular landscapes. Thank you so much for the history and information.
I totally enjoying your travels through South Korea! I’m learning so much from your honest observations. I hope you get to return to South Korea again and vlog more adventures in different areas!
Hi Sharon - we are doing a whole series on our time - due to visa restrictions we can only film for a short time and we also have to plan the route home - but we will be back !!
What beautiful villages there and the food courts look amazing. I think if I went there I wouldn't want to come back 😊. Love the murals as well. Take care travel safe. Love and hugs to you both ❤
I am Korean. I want to recommend foreigners to visit Korea in April, May, early June, late September, October and early November. In late June, you can encouter rainy season and in early September, you can encounter typhoon. We have very hot and humid summer season and very cold winter season. I hope many foreigners visit Korea and have a good time. Always welcome.
April May and early June for all the flowers, azaleas, cherry blossoms, red roses, and late September, October and November for blues skies (I am used to blue skies 3/4 of the year here in Cape Town - but in Korea they are not that common) and autumn leaves!!
Wow Amazing Temple and those Butterflies were HUGE! Ana, what a lovely lady she is🥰 Another great video, loving South Korea trip! Takecare Love Rose xx
Inaugurated in 2007, in Seoul, South Korea, the Silver Zone is a designated pedestrian safety zone for the elderly that adopts speed limit measures such as traffic signage and road surface markings.
The concave walls of the tunnel reduces the spread of traffic noise, you see them a lot in Japan as well where free ways are close to residential areas.
Enjoying your videos very much. The stuff they were spraying on the cliff by the motorway is probably a vegetation compound including seeds of easy growing weeds and nutritions to root down to the soil to prevent mud slide.

My husband is from Malaysia but we live in the States. We started watching you guys on his channel this season and really enjoy your travels. Reach out if you need any tips and travel help whilst in Malaysia! Have a fantastic time and can't wait to see your Malaysian journeys.
Ah the spicy food :) I am an older woman and used to not like spicy foods but ended up moving to a place where chilies were in everything and I had no choice but to eat it or die. Because of this I now LOVE spicy food and crave it! It was just a matter of acclimation, like everything else. It was also the place where I learned to love fish and seafood as well. I die when I see you all eating in these places because it makes me sooooo hungry, lol! I want some :)
thank you for posting video in my home town! Dae Gu is not really famous place to the touristes but people there are wonderful and very friendly .. but then most of Koreans are very friendly. Have a nice trip :)
Following you two intrepid explorers avidly - loving this post! We have the temple on our visit list for our trip next year. It looks beautiful. Well done for tucking into all the food, it all looks delicious! Keep safely trucking!🚌🚌
For those who may be curious, the flowers shown around 13:40 are Lycoris × chejuensis, and the butterflies are a species of genus Papilio, probably P. bianor.
16:30 The nettle look-alikes are actually related to nettles (however, they lack stinging hair); they are a Boehmeria species. Bit hard to ID to species level from this video though. Maybe B. japonica. And no, they are unrelated to Perilla frutescens, leaves of which are used for wraps.
If you guys are still on your way to Incheon try and see Songdo, at central park there is a free observation deck in the Ztower building. There is also a language museum, deer, and a lake with boating.
Thanks and welcome to the adventure to drive (and ship) our UK van all the way around the world !! 🇬🇧🚐 and show the real place and people that we meet on the way 🌷
WOW- the butterflies are beautiful but the murals - oh my goodness‼️I loved when you pointed out the 4 different kinds of homes right next to each other😊You sure are a GREAT DRIVER Marianne- from tiny mountain roads to those multi lane roads - you continue to navigate them all‼️👍😊 You have a pretty GREAT co-pilot too😊👍WOW - what a view of that temple on the sea‼️And then the view from the top- oh my goodness‼️And then you finished the day with that gorgeous sunset- what a wonderful day‼️😊👍 THANK YOU for taking us along👍❤️💙‼️

한국은 서울만 벗어나면 삼면이 바다라 산과바다 자연이 정말 아름다운곳이에요.

I'm so glad that you went to Yong Gung Sa. It is such a beautiful, special place.
Wow this is great !!

if you like temples, i strongly recommend you to go Buseoksa in Yeongju. It was built in1376. The eldest wooden temple in Korea.
The tunnel is for reducing noise. for near buildings.
