My son applied here. And will see if he gets accepted for 2022. Thanks for your insight. It actually seems very relaxing , which is surprising. Not too much hassle and bustle.
@@simplytanya hahaha technically you're not, but like if you sneak it in then no one will know. like the ra's never check and for me & kate (my roommate) it has been very helpful! my last video kinda talked more about it, but yeah if you want one, you can definitely get away with having it!
I went to Cal Poly from 1989 to 1993, and really loved that school. Many happy memories there. And a few nightmares a month about taking college math courses even after all these years.

umm honestly it's random because they change where the different learning communities live every year.. i wish i could help, but yeah there's really nothing you can do to ensure that you get in
ah i love seeing cal poly slo vids ! quick question about your classes though, you and your friend have the same class but he had it at an earlier time slot, you're really just able to go at his time instead of your class? like it won't hurt your attendance or cause anything negative?
it definitely depends on your professor. For math we both had the same honors class and our professor never took attendance (which some teachers do) and she didn't mind if we decided to go to the other class times. But for my other classes it probably would've been a problem if I tried to do that. So definitely make sure that it's okay with your professor first, because everyone has different policies
It was actually pretty easy haha! I wouldn't recommend bringing it during move-in, because all of the ra's help you move all of your stuff in, but maybe bring it back from thanksgiving break or have your parents bring it up if they're planning on visiting & just bring it into your building in a box or blanket :)
Omg I appreciate this video so much and I love the editing, I'm part of the class of 2020 and will be applying to cal lily next year. What was your GPA and stuff to get in?
aww thank you!! & weighted i had a 4.41 and unweighted it was a 3.96, and other than that i had a job for a year, played volleyball until sophomore year, and was the treasurer of a club, a member of the national honor's society (which was another club), also i was a leader at my church for all four years as well! i hope that helped :)
@@cacapoopoopp i don't remember my act score, but my sat score was somewhere in the 1300's, i dont remember what it was exactly. & i don't know if the range has changed to 2400 again, but i took it when the highest possible amount of points was 1600.
yes! all the time haha! when i get tired of oatmeal, i have cereal and i eat it with almond milk. I would recommend getting like 10 of the almond milk cartridges from Costco because you can store them outside of the refrigerator until they've been opened so that's really nice! i also have kind bars that are full of protein. But, I also eat breakfast (the oatmeal) at like 6:40 - 7 am and then get out of class at either 10 - 11 am so I usually eat a more filling and yummy breakfast after those classes, and the oatmeal i eat in the morning is just to keep me full in the meantime :)
also, most people eat breakfast at one of the campus dining places, which is what i had also done for the previous quarters. But since i had such early classes this quarter I had to improvise a little bit and get food that i could make in my dorm :)
haha there are a lot of frats & some dorm "parties" but you don't really get invited, you kinda just hear about them & show up! it's nice to know some people in the frats though because sometimes they'll ask you who you know in the frat in order to get in (but you could probably say a random name and they wouldn't even notice haha) :)
