    Awwww if i was a child I would love to have such a fun loving teacher like you. You such upbeat gal! Love it!!! Thank you for these videos and congratulations on becoming a teacher. Super!! I was wondering in terms of the resource folders is it just for your lesson plans you put together or is it both you and the class teacher.
    On the whole how hard was on the theories etc
    Does you diary get added to the portfolio?
    Thank you
    Stay safe.

      Aaw thanks! ♥ You're so kind!
      So your resource folder is filled with everything you could possibly use again in the future. So if you create (or copy from the internet) a worksheet, then you put it in the resource folder... Or if you come up with a really good lesson plan that you could use with another class in the future, then add it to the folder... Anything that might get re-used or photocopied for future classes goes in the folder :D
      Hope that helps...lol

    I just watched this and so sorry to hear about your second (horrible) placement and observation. I think a classroom should be a highly welcoming place for students and teachers alike. But sadly there are some insecure teachers too (insecure teachers- sounds such an oxymoron, right?!) Anyway, glad you could come out of it and continued to become a successful teacher and grow it enjoy it. More power to you!

    Thanks so much for this video. It's so beneficial. I'm due to start my pgce in a few weeks. I'm nervous excited and terrified all in one. I wanted to ask what schools are like if you leave at say 4pm? I am prepared to do the extra work at home and come in at 7am but I can't leave too late because I have 2 children to pick up and separate schools that are far apart

    • @MysteryDateWithaBook
      @MysteryDateWithaBook  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on the school. My uni kept telling us to stay in until 5:30 (at least), but in some schools the teachers leave at around 3:30... It varies a lot. I'm sure if you explain that you have to pick up your children they'll be ok with it.

    Thanks for sharing. I am applying for PGCE in next year, but I am too confused to make a choice, like primary (X100) or primary (38QR)... what are differences between them? I am a Chinese, I am not sure primary means that teacher should teach all subjects or only Chinese or specific subject.

    • @MysteryDateWithaBook
      @MysteryDateWithaBook  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anilsubba8697 That depends entirely on where you want to live/work. London is always crying out for teachers, up in the north west you’ll probably struggle but you’ll eventually find a position. In Northern Ireland though most people have to spend 3 to 5 years subbing before they’re offered a job. It really depends on where you are.

  • @30goals

    I think I'd probably enjoy primary more, ie the idea of it doesnt stress me out, but the huge gap in money grants is something I feel I have to think about out. O grants for primary next to 12000 grand for english secondary. Im so late to apply and Im still stuck because of these reasons! thanks for the video. The other BIG thing this year is that, like you said, its normal to become close friends with your peers and share experiences, and this year all teaching for the first term is online! so it'll be extra hard without going in.

    • @MysteryDateWithaBook
      @MysteryDateWithaBook  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, primary teaching is a lot less intimidating than secondary! Haha! But grants are something to keep in mind as well... Good luck with your course! :D
