    Get a printer/laminator/trimmer
Teacher bag - pencil case: green and pink pens, white board marker
    Post it notes
Files - one for each day

Hey there! This video was so helpful, I'm about to apply to do my PGCE (unsure whether to do it university or school direct) but because I don't have any school experience I'm concerned about lesson planning etc - when you said get resources from Twinkle (and you mentioned a couple of others, didn't catch them) are these including lesson plans? I know il find out a lot more when I actually start but the thought of completely planning 100s of lessons from scratch is really worrying me I wouldn't know where to start 😂 xx

For an overseas teacher living outside UK & having neither a work permit nor a national insurance number, does that mean she is not entitled to apply for a teaching post in UK?. As to the QTS, can it be obtained online? Does it have an expiry date? Where may I get materials to study it? Can I submit a proof of enrolment and work till I receive the certificate? Is there any exceptions for teachers from QTS or any other alternatives? What’s the shortest time to get QTS?Can you teach while earning it? Is there a table that clarifies the diff. Bet. @@DeathSlayerKid Any tips on this year's interview process?

    • @DeathSlayerKid
      @DeathSlayerKid 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@farzinmoosa5322 Yes, Inhad 2 interviews. Both involved a literacy test (they will note down your SPAG efficiency). In the teaching part of the interview they want the following:
      • Model positive values, attitudes and behaviours
      • Establish relationships with pupils
      • Plan appropriate activities
      • Show your understanding of the task
      • Speak clearly
      • Make it interesting and engaging
      • Present the objective and focus on completing the task from the brief (you will be given a subject to teach)
      • Be aware of the time, you have a time limit if 20-30 minutes, plan it wisely
      • Consider adaptations for higher/lower attainers
      • Tell the children if they're doing well, praise them for trying and correct them if they're wrong
In my first interview, I had to teach children to add tens and units, they didn't understand that 10 1s go into 10, I didn't have any counters to help them, this made it difficult for me to complete the task. I still got the place because I reflected on my lesson and what I could keep and change. They're looking for your potential, your passion and they way you respond under pressure.
Be aware of current events in education, i was asked about them during my interview.
You will be asked why you want to teach your subject and/or year group, have a good answer ready for that.
      Your main focuses:
      Be calm, positive and professional
Be prepared for questions and to make mistakes in your teaching task (it will not go as you plan it to)
Concentrate on correcting issues and building relationships with the children
And ultimately, be passionate and know why you want to teach.
My co-worker went for an interview with someone who cried during her teaching task, she still got the place for reflecting well on it.
      Good luck :)
