Brother, you absolutely nailed this video!!! I've been all over TH-cam with some frustrations having screwed up my video settings. You got right to the point and walked me right across the settings. All the other videos are like watching a ferret on two cappuccinos.
So helpful with the details, manual instructions, guidelines, features. The visual explantations you've provided on the video is much helpful and appreciated. I came across your vlogs today and it's really helpful and descriptive.. thank you for the information. I really hope that other videos are more interesting.
Have an A6500, can't get it to stop automatically adjusting brightness unless I'm in manual mode. I want brightness to stay the way I want it in movie mode and in preset modes. How do I manage this?
hi Reha, this is probably one of the easiest tutorial to follow. I just bought my a6500, I don't know which one to select on the mode dial before doing this setting. bec some of the videos I've watch they select 1 or 2. I'm confused. please reply sooner! thank you!
Hey. Question for anyone that knows. I don't know my framing before I press record. The screen looks like for photos, and when I press record it narrows vertically for 16:9. Also the guidelines don't appear before I press record. I've never seen the Standby appear on my camera, somehow I feel it maybe has to do with that.
Hey Reha, nice and useful video, thx man! One question tho: i just bought the camera and was wondering a bit why the navigation through the menu seems to be lagging sometimes... i saw it in your video at 1:51 . Is this normal?
Word of advise for newbies who don't know all the terms...you gotta explain them "when you shoot ntsc" yeah have no idea what that is...I can look it up and I probably will but you gotta talk to ppl like their brand new. Haha
@reha alev I need help i am barely starting to get into photograhy but i cant decide between sony a6000 or sony a6300 or the newer one. I do need video but i dont think 4k is that important i don't think also my pc does 4k i will be using premium pro to edit vids. i want to make work out vids or vids when i go hiking and travel make cool vids of my family mainly since i am barely starting and learn in the processes. I will also be taking pics i was thinking get the sony a6000kit and get the sigma 30mm 1.4 and another lens or go with the a6300 with the sigma or 6500 just kit lens but since i am just starting is all that extra stuff really important should i just go with the cheapest and learn i have never used the cameras so idk if the difference is that big. what do you think i should do advice would be greatly appreciated. is the body important can the 6000 perform the same as the other with good lenses??
I love your videos.. Question: I am setting up my a6500 and when I get to movie/S&Q Motion, the camera tells me that "This operation or setting not available as follows". It then lists 'Shoot Mode' and second 'Aperture Priority.'. Any idea what's going on? Thanks!
Not all functions are available in all modes. If you let the camera handle most features automatically, it won't allow for manual adjustments of some of the settings.
Hello Reha) Can you tell me or maybe help. I have a6500, sigma 30 1.4. I try video in low light (night club). Settings is f1.4/50fps/shutter50/FHD/ iso 600-1000/ i try all PP, and try slog2 slog3/ also try no PP. And in all cases I have a noise, especially in black colors. where it is more where that is less. but noise. What settings or what to change you could advise me. Thank you :)
Andrey Pereskokov try overexposing +1 or +2 stops when shooting in Slog, it helps with the noise in the shadows. Also, make sure your shutter speed is double your frame rate for proper motion blur! Hope that helps.
There is a way to turn off the "Running on NTSC" message in the alpha cameras. I followed this procedure and it worked: verifiedstuff.com/guide/how-to-remove-the-running-on-ntsc-warning-on-sony-cameras/

Hi. I hope you read this message. When you were doing the film settings I cannot get it to 24/100. Only 24P/50m. Please advise. Thank you
24fps only available in NTSC. You have to switch from PAL first.

so should I shoot video's while in Movie mode or while in Manual mode?
Movie mode, but expose manually
Very good video!
