    Interesting to see it progress through and shine up, looks like you've got it figured out pretty well already. I wonder if it's best to do a lot of one type (hardness) of rocks all at once rather than a big variety?

      Yeh I have read that! There is that Mohs scale of hardness but I need to do more research and figure out how that all works 😁

      Good point, at the end of the day if I muck them up it’s no big deal, worst case I could throw them back in and start again 😅

    I should unpack my tumbler and give this a try! Looking really nice!

    there were a couple of really unique rocks, would have been cool to see those specific ones throughout each stage to see the differences...

      Good idea! I should do before and after shots of the key rocks and maybe shots between stages. This batch started out big but then halved when I switched barrels haha

    You could try polishing kauri gum.

      If you want to have a go with some kauri gum I'll be happy to post some to you. Be interesting to see how it does in the tumbler. Cheers!

      @@donnakuljish832 hi Donna. Sorry I missed your message somehow! Thanks so much for the offer l, I actually brought some of trademe and I think I’ll give it a go! Apparently it doesn’t do well on in the tumbler because of how soft it is but I’m keen to give it a go 😁

    Very interested in the glass tumbling. Did you get the barrel and grit on trademe?

    • @AdventuresWithRosy
      @AdventuresWithRosy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yup sure did, the barrel is a Lortone one but there are cheaper versions of them too. Grits off trademe but I’ve also brought some from the rock shop in Rotorua and they are well priced!

    Great video. When do stones become rocks?

      @AdventuresWithRosy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1
