The longest scenarios can easily last 20 hours or more. This game is fantastic and comes with my highest recomendation if you are into historical strategy games.
I have the Deluxe of this game and love it. It has been tough sale to my friends but my mom plays it with me because she just loves history of this time period and really doesn't care enough about the rules to win. I feel like this game is more of a thematic experience than trying to win. Sure, we pursue Prestige but first-timers should not expect to know all of the rules and are going to have to rely on feedback from other players. Playing EU4 will help you to understand some of the concepts. Duration is actually a BIG PROBLEM as well.
Great video guys! I really like your high production values! Have you ever played Here I Stand? It's the most historically accurate game I have played for the time period!
With missions being the primary way to score, the total freedom diminishes. The only way i can think of to score if you ignore missions is to do humiliation victories.
When we did a demo for 6 players, we occupied a 110x200cm table. We had there the map, all player trays and mats, and all the different cards and the status mat around the table. Smaller scenarios will of course require less space. The full map (Distant Continents, Western and Eastern Europe) measure 68x115 cm.
I'm an experienced gamer, and no way will I ever attempt to learn and play this. You'll need to devote at least half a day to learning the rules before feeling confident enough to jump in for your first game. No thanks!

Totally agree!
Well done and thank you for the effort you put into this!
You: 'The designers should hire someone to make tutorial videos'.
Me: 'Well volunteered'.
You are watching mine!! You are welcome to join me for a multiplayer tutorial game!!
There are loads of tutorial videos on YT.
8:16 Is that Ulm card real? Either way, I LOVE IT!
Yes it is, lol

Thnx! To be truthful, we don’t have that much experience with historical board games, so no, we didn’t play it but thnx for the recommendation 😀
@@BeastieGeeks Virgin Queen is also worth a look, its the sequel to Here I Stand.
Good Overview and Editing.
Thnx Steve!
@robertomendeztorres has made several tutorial videos actually to cover the different facets of the game.
Fajnie pokazane! Teraz poprosimy o jakiś gameplay już z choćby dodanymi pl napisami :)
Za dużo gier, za mało czasu, także na spanie 😛 Więc z bólem, ale nie damy rady takiego filmu ogarnąć.
Looking forward to it now.
Yeah, worth the effort
HYPE!
Yeah 😀

Missions arent the main way to score points.
@@Jezza_One agree. Papal Bonuses, the provinces matter at the end of the game, Milestones, etc.
@@volbound1700 Lol, the papal bonus is next to nothing. Milestones are just more missions.
@@jtfike Papal Bonus can be as high as 3 points a turn. That us basically a single Milestone. Nothing t8 sneeze at
Tried the PC Game and struggled. Its a good game but you've got to care to want to play it and it just didn't engage me.
"The game can last longer than a 6 player Twilight Imperium game"
Now THATS a bold claim.
Ha, proven at our table 😀
It's true.
It's easily true, while EU:TPoP is a fantastic game, a 6 player game could quite reasonably take 4 times as long as a Ti4 game.
Fajny kanał
dzięki ;-)
Short answer: Yes 😊 Yes it is :)
😂
Z ciekawości - jaki rozmiar ma plansza? Ile miejsca na stole zajmuje gra dla pełnej liczby graczy?

That's harsh but true :)
