Zero upkeep compared to ATO and KDM 😂😂. You can definitely play it solo. Not sure if it’s playable with one hero though. If it’s not a problem for you to manage hand of cards for each hero then you are good to go.

Hexplore It never had campaign books. At least original core games. Authors created additional campaigns books like Klik's Madness: A HEXplore It Campaign that you can get separetly.

Unfortunately we don't have prototype anymore :( Did you ever play any Hexplore it game? If yes, you will manage :) If no the game can be overwhealming at the beginning. Core mechanics of Hexplore It are always the same so maybe you can find some gameplay of previous Volumes. That should give you feeling of the gameplay. :)

Most definitely this. I think it beats Grimcoven in theme and gameplay.

We’re the worst people to answer this question because story-driven games from AR became quite dull (I’m talking about mechanics) for us since Etherfields and TG 🤷‍♂️

If you want a Boss Battler, I think Blood is way better than Grimcoven. The mechanics look way more interesting and you have different game modes to choose from while Grimcoven only offers one-shots. As an alternative to those two, there is also Odalin. It's a dungeon crawler but in my opinion those 2 genres are similar enough to consider. Personally I thought I'm getting all 3 (Grimcoven, Blood and Odalin) but I totally lost interest in Grimcoven. Right now I'm only sure about getting Odalin and have to make up my mind on Blood.

@@john9801 The main reason I was drawn to grimcoven was the one-shots. I have heaps of campaign games (oathsworn, Tanares Adventures, harakiri, etc) Odalin looks really interesting but again to many big campaign games hahaha. So I'm torn between this, grimcoven or maybe just get Cthulhu death may die

No way to answer this question at this point for a simple reason - we didn’t have a chance to taste the story part and it will be a huge factor if we want compare it to ATO or Oathsworn. But our hopes are high 😀

Hard to say. There was no info about that in rulebook (but we must remember it was prototype also:)). Maybe somehow they will merge mechanic of elemental infusion somehow to previous volumes. That would be amazing.

You can use any hero from any set while playing any set.

That’s silly. This is the demo version: Unfinished and a rushed production to facilitate how the game plays much more than how the Quality will be. The base game (45usd) on KS gets additional finishing touches such as duel layered boards and a few acrylic pieces. The Deluxe edition (85usd) makes all the chips and tokens high quality acrylic as well as a few other things becoming metal (coins, marker) and additional tuck boxes for cards.

@@willeh1947 yes I know, I backed (for C$1) but the entire project feels rushed and ill-prepared. In this oversaturated market, competition is stifling so the team should have taken more time to make the prototype better. Leverage from the title Children of Morta only carries you that far. The rulebook was poorly done, the iconography is poorly done, all it signals is that there's so much work ahead... And even on a fundamental level, scrapping bonds in solo/family is design wise a really poor decision. The way I see it, it should have been in dev for at least a year, and now it will take several years before it's good enough to ship, which only frustrates backers. With a more polished product the creators could have raked in much more cash.

@@kosterix123 Not that I know off. I finished the game maybe 10 or so months ago and it was still there. This was for switch version though the problem is probably not there on Xbox or PC.
