Iv ridden some of that trail, Its a blast-!! I remember stoping & jumping into the river to cool off. Riding thru the long metal corrugated pipe is a blast too.
As usual, love your vids. As Brian said, the dual perspective is pretty awesome and something that other channels offer. Come to Vancouver Island some time...love to show ya'll around.
Well I in no way was I criticizing you I just figured that you're struggling with the climbing and I really enjoy your videos great videos definitely cuz you probably figure out by my comments that I have some off-road experience and love to ride off road and I hope to make it out that way one day although all the poisonous snakes and spiders cycling and giving everything up so I can cycle full time my dear is to get another mountain bike and set it up for touring but also set it up as a bikepacking setup with painters basically it's a full bikepacking set up with panniers okay I will talk to you another time
Loved the video! I was wondering if you've done any night rides on full moons without headlamps? Those used to be my favourite rides with my riding group. I know they probably wouldn't make for the best video though...
The Wahoo computers should be comparable wit the Garmin mounts. I would get one of the 'rubber band' style mounts. If the included bands don't work on your bars you should be able to get some bigger o-rings at a hardware store. I agree... auto pause is demoralizing on the MTB, so i tend to turn that off.
Hi, Tess! Nice video :) I have a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt, as well. Why don't you use the other mount that comes with it? There's a round mount that goes on the stem, secured by zip ties. It works really well and won't leave your Bolt as exposed in case of a crash. I'm also using a silicone cover and lanyard for it; you can find it on Amazon as TUSITA Silicone Skin Case Cover for Wahoo Elemnt Bolt GPS Bike Computer with Screen Protector. It's been great since I got it in February.
Tess...I just got one of the patagonia hoodies from the Triple S which is a kiteboarding event in Cape Hatteras. I absolutely love that thing and can now understand why STeve wheres it all the time. It's material is really light and wicks away moisture and it really does keep the sun out.
My neighbor Freddie always wears a hoodie and sunglasses too but nobody will get it if I used him as a reference. BTW, we wears them for the same reason.
Being a bit of a bike Bum with little income I don't get to travel out of California much but I just got back from Oregon with Family I was lucky to bring my bike had some fun rides. alone in some Old growth forest I ran into a little black Bear. and Heard a huge landslid or trees crashing idk what it was but it was laud. any how if you like being in the trees Like I do and you ever get out to southern Oregon cheek out the North Umpqua river trail super divers all Levels of forest growth young to old very scenic place runs along the Umpqua river at some part right next to it at others high above. also loads of Creeks and side streams bridges waterfalls even hot springs.. just thought id shear I miss the place I'm sitting here going through withdrawals.... lol
Yes I would Love to see you and Steve riding that Trail.. Iv only done about 3 and a half Segments on my Hardtail this Time we Camped right Next to Panther so every Morning I sessioned that segment I would Have did more but was not there on my own terms did not even have my car as I Hitched a ride with Family also was doing more than Mountain biking we even found a Natural water slide..
Tianna Schneider my friend just got a 5010 its been a month 30+ miles on the bike now and she loves it. Its very poppy and nimble really good bike. She is 5'7 and shes doing great on a medium sized frame with 27.5 tires on it. Way more comfortable than her 29er bike. Definitely a boost of confidence knowing you can control your bike.
Tianna Schneider I also ride a 5010 and it’s my favorite bike ever and I’ve been on the Rubion (same as Bronson) as well. The 5010 fits me better. Great on climbs and downhill. I did put a 140 fork on it. Also have a 2.5 tire upfront. Excellent balance. The trails in AZ are rocky and this bike handles it all. Good luck on your new bike!
Christina Welsh nice thats awesome yeah the 5010 is an all rounder bike it can really do it all its all up to the rider. I myself got the same bike steve(from dusty betty)...got the chameleon 29er...its a hardtail but omg so much fun. We are in the bay area if you all want to join us. We ride Joaquin miller park in Oakland CA.
Dusty Betty yeah thats what we are having issues with...getting the rear suspension dialed in. We have a fox evol 140mm of travel. Other than that 5010 is a badass do it all playful ride. In all honesty it all depends on the rider.
The spot rollik 607 that we are riding in this video is hands down my favorite bike. It has all the playfulness of the 5010 with even more efficient climbing, and the plush feel of a pivot mach 5.5. If it rates a 100, I've never ridden another bike that scores higher than a 90. Definitely give the rollik a try I'd you're able to.
The rollik 607 is my favorite bike ever, by a long shot. I've ridden almost every bike out there and when I threw my leg over the bike for the first ride, I was immediately blown away by how well it climbs. But I live for the downhill and it has a super playful, supportive ride. It's a very lively bike with excellent geometry and a super fun ride.
Video turned out awesome!!! I'm all nostalgic. I miss you guys!!! 😭😄
Dusty Betty likewise, love riding with you guys. For better trails or worse 😄
The dual perspective thing is pretty awesome! That tunnel scares me every damn time.
Dusty Betty 😄
I crashed in that tunnel and dislocated my finger. You are right to be scared.
Awesome to see you posting again. I love finishing rides right at dark. Best way to finish a day.
I rode there back in like 2000...LOOOOVED the Confluence trail! Might be one of my favorite rides ever! Need to get a bike back out to CA!
The sunset rides into dusk are awesome. I need to find flowy trails like this one.
Great Video, love it. Putting this ASRA ride onto our calendar right now!
Iv ridden some of that trail, Its a blast-!! I remember stoping & jumping into the river to cool off. Riding thru the long metal corrugated pipe is a blast too.
Auburn has allot of climbing. Found out the hard way myself. Good vid.
As usual, love your vids. As Brian said, the dual perspective is pretty awesome and something that other channels offer. Come to Vancouver Island some time...love to show ya'll around.
Great video! Great couple!
Have fun and enjoy betty . also i love your videos nice and clear with lots of detial.
Agree with the IXS pads review. Stay in place and comfortable for climbing as well.

*Rocking them trails today , nice* !!!
I see you guys are rocking the rollick today, I have to say I love that bike .... Red bike get so dirty lol but is all good .......
Great video! I got a top cap mount for my Elemnt, mostly because I think it looks cleaner. K-Edge makes some good ones, but they're not cheap.
Looked like a great trail. As usual video was well edited and commentary was concise and audible. Overall I give it 9out of 10
Dusty Betty you bet
Very cool. Looked fun.
Awesome ride
Un saludo lindo lugar para rodar buen video 🤘😁

Looks like Steve and the sun don't get along. Same here. What kind of hoodie is Steve rockin'?

So what's up with Steve's Unibomber look? Covering up to avoid burning from the sun?
My neighbor Freddie always wears a hoodie and sunglasses too but nobody will get it if I used him as a reference. BTW, we wears them for the same reason.
holy cow, you need a panda LED :P

Definitely looked like a fun, fast, and flowy XC loop- nice guys! How are you two liking the new bikes?
Words cannot Express how much we love our spots. Seriously though, it's the best bike I've ever ridden. Such a blast.
The More We Explore 👍
Dusty Betty 👍 cool, looking forward to it!
Too bad you didn’t have better light going down Confluence.
Did you do the Loop clockwise? Or counter?
Scary in the dark lol
Dusty, what are you riding? You used to be on the 5010. I'm on the fence on what bike to ride so I'd love to know what you're on.

Hey how is the spot rollik and what is steve’s bike?
Cool I will be waiting for that review🤙🏼 and you should go at the kingdom trails in Vermont

Do you strava on this ride?
Can someone tell me why Steve always has his hood up? It’s odd.
I asked the same question but in a different way. Long sleeves, too. I'm guessing he burns easily.
What grips are you using?
Dusty Betty they look comfortable
Strava?
G Ledesma www.strava.com/activities/1575061439/ here's what we did
The past two years, I've ridden over 3k in the year, right now... I am clipping 1k...but most of it is MTB.
Tess is being modest. She rides 5-6k miles a year.
Dusty are you new to mtn biking
What handlebars are you using?
Thank you!
