True Said ... I am also from last ONE year watching this channel for Bike N cars Review.
I have a Honda City VX Diesel model. i have it for a year now. The pros are good as you have mentioned.. let me tell you others...
1. No Covers for the back wires that run on back of the car.
2. The sunroof is never used as much as i thought i will be using it.
3. Keyless entry.. great as long as i have a good battery, i was thinking if the battery got low, wonder how will i get inside the car.. (If anyione knows, let me know the answer.)
4. Service and spare parts.. Honda dealers are good only until you buy a car from them, also car spares are very costly than expected. :) (Honda Have to bare it.)
PROS :
1. nosiy engine but will not feel it from inside. so no problem on that
2. Good Space : I am 6.1 ft tall. I can sit as if i am in a sofa. I dont think i can explain more about it than this.
3. Milage : Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow... Best in segment.

Yes i heard about Honda dealers too that they don't care about their customers after you bought the car. Is this 100% truth or not ?
How about a petrol City review? Everywhere I go, all i see are reviews for the Diesel.

Great review but too much audio music. Had to strain through the loud music to hear what the tester was really saying! I am partial deaf due to the music now.

That's how a car review should actually be made. The camera work is just the best I have seen in a car review. The way you guys made the video a little dramatic was excellent. The editing, the camera, the music, just too good. ONE NEW SUBSCIBER. :)

Last gen city looked much much better on the exterior....this one's over doing the chrome...n that kickass subtle killer looks are missing...

Finally an unbiased review unlike the autocar India. Great review. I'm not gonna change my 60kms verna with a City, even though it's a more spacious car. Will wait for more new models.

You forgot to mention the main bad thing about this car - the ABS. My 15 years old Maruti Suzuki Zen performed better in braking, even without ABS. After testing the brakes at only 80kph I wouldn't even dare to try it past 100kph. The terrible braking & steering control while braking was a frightening experience. The moment I stepped out of the car I finalised the Škoda Rapid. I like my dinner served cold every now and then. I'm into healthy eating.
During my over 9 years of ownership of a Fiat Palio I met many ex-Palio owners who regretted selling off theirs. Some of them were looking to move back to Palio from Honda City. It didn't make complete sense to me as I'd never driven a City before today. Today everything makes perfect sense. The Honda Citys I drove (Diesel & Petrol) could easily be outperformed by the Palio. The Palio didn't have ABS. But it offered control & driving pleasure like none other in the class. The Honda City doesn't even come close to matching that.
Driving the Palio was confidence. Driving the Rapid too is confidence. Driving the City is a terrifying experience.
110% agreed with you bro, Once I finished the test ride of the new city, there was no looking back into the Honda stable. And by the way the Rapid is a solid car, unmatched diesel engine, superb handling and stability, mature interiors and bold looks. What more can any one ask for !!! Congrats on your purchase. Drive safe :)

Yes... I think Honda I-DTek engineers really need to do homework regarding the massive engine sound... Now a days I'm watching plenty of Honda Amazes everywhere in my city because its really the best economy as well as budget oriented car.. The problem with Amaze also same engine noise, but mileage of Amaze is awesome of 22 kmpl in city.. can u believe it.....

Yes, I have a petrol City a gen prior, the reverse gear is slightly hard to engage, probably because it's straight cut unlike the rest which are helical...
could've added a point that in the recently conducted Crash tests for all the cars in the ASEAN Ncap, the City scored the highest points.. over rivals from Germany and USA's Polo and Fiesta respectively.

Is the petrol ciaz a better all rounder than the city? Bigger alloy wheels, projector headlamps across all variants,better features and a 1.4l petroleum engine compared to 1.5l ivtec Honda city..I would be basically driving within the city. Any advise would be very helpful..

Is the reverse gear problem a known issue?

for shifting to reverse gear Honda has a procedure to be followed. I guess you guy's didn't check that btw. 6+ months car's all good with me :-)

I never felt the problem while putting my City's lever into reverse gear.Just check up with Honda SVC

+PowerDrift there's a separate mechanism actutally... you've to move the gear Knob to extreme left and then try to shift Into reverse.. dad made me study the manual properly before keeping my hands on steering wheel

@Powerdrift.. First of all big fan of Powerdrift.. love your reviews.. Have a question.. there was this time when the anchor faced trouble putting the gear in Reverse from neutral. Is it because of the reverse locking function which the car has ? AFAIK This function activates when we are putting the gear from first gear to reverse, we have to put the gear to neutral slide it to the left while in neutral and then push it for reverse. I own city vx ivtec 2016. I haven't come across this issue till now *touchwood*. Would like to know whether this issue was sorted n the new models ? Your help is much appreciated.

Amazing review.. very impressed . Have to tell people something here. Fiat india has unleashed some promotion videos comparing linea with city. even though the price is much lesser when compared to city. they dont offer the spec that city offers, eg sunroof, dashboard etc. Linea can never match the quality and ride quality of HONDA CITY

I bought City in january when it was launched and yes apart from the noisy engine everything else is best in class. The only reason that streets are not stormed with City is the supply from Honda itself. My friend who booked the car in February has not received it yet!

Fantastic stuff...Overall, each & every 'video' seems very well made. You guys definitely need a better 'writer'..the dialogues sound like they came from a jean claude van damme movie. Also, it wouldnt hurt if your presenters had a bit of a 'character' going on... I still am a big fan and I cant believe you get sub 100K views on your great videos

Awesome review however, I would've liked a little more stats, when you said it is very well priced and has India's most fuel efficient diesel engine, you gave no actual numbers. Neither did you give numbers when you spoke about ground clearance. I noticed the same with a few other reviews (like continental GT review doesn't mention any actual stats pertaining to top speed, mileage, etc). Just my two cents

The reverse shifting comment isn't absolutely right i feel. It could be an issue probably with the car you tested, or maybe in the diesel variant. I drive the petrol variant and haven't faced any such issue. This comment is kind of nit-picky from your side.
What opinion do u folks have on CVT Petrol engine version of the City?

For reverse gear just move the car a little by putting it in 1st gear ... i mean moving by a centimeter n then shift to reverse

It's a very nice review. Thanks a lot for that. But it seems like you concentrated only on the diesel car. You haven't said much about the petrol car. I know it's been there for a while and everyone was so eagerly waiting for diesel City but still would love to hear something about he petrol counterpart.

You guys are doing a much better job in terms of presenting your reviews than other reviewers, but I did notice a lot of over excited narration in this review. Which feels artificial as if you are trying to sell me something even after knowing that I am not going to fall for it.
So if you can avoid this and keep the narration and presentation professional, I can see you guys being the most preferred reviewer ppl will refer before making their buying decisions.
