Very good review. I have a Browning Buck Mark, that has a full length Picatinny rail with the regular iron sights. It is suppressor ready with a threaded barrel. The model name is the Browning Buck Mark Field Target. I like the ergonomics on my Browning along with Rosewood grips. My model came with two magazines and gun rug case.
Good review,GREAT HANDGUN! Much better pistol than the Ruger... PERIOD! I Own both the Ruger & Buckmark, as well as over 50 other Handguns. The Buckmark is CRAZY accurate in the right hands!!! If you don't own it, "BUY IT"!!!
Damn, dude, good review! I liked how you explained the factors you were comparing. I find myself doing the same thing when I'm trying to decide my next purchase. Right now I'm really leaning toward the Buckmark over the 22/45. Thanks for the post!
Won a buckmark in a raffle. Best $5 ive spent. Replaced those godawful grips with black checkered rubber and put red dot on. Live in the country in mississippi. Take it everywhere i go on the farm. Great gun!
Oh boy, so this is THE real gun! Sorry for my ignorance, I was looking for the air pistol, which is exactly the same but fires lead pellets haha! I found it surprisingly odd that it came with a magazine despite being a single shot air handgun.... Great review, though!
Just got a new 5.5 stainless barrel, one mag for $299, $330 shopped to California. The Ruger is non compliant here and the ratings for Browning is way better.
Just a suggestion…I’ve owned a BuckMark for 20+ years and I would order a couple of replacement recoil buffers (the factory black ones will break down from oil and cleaning solution) and Browning tends to not have them in stock…Midwest Industry has them somewhat regularly.
FYI, I Recently took my 30 yr. old Buck Mark apart to deep clean it. When I took the cover off, the spring flew out and parts went everywhere. The plastic buffer and small plastic front rod guide part were in pieces, probably because they were so old. Had a heck of a time trying to find replacement parts for this old gun, but I finally found them on a site call "Jack First Inc" which had everything I needed.
I don't recommend removing the magazine disconnect. As an experienced 22 target shooter I've seen many times a shooter will clear the chamber first, THEN remove the magazine inadvertently chambering a round. YES I know it all comes down to "training", but I've seen experienced seasoned shooters make mistakes sometimes... In the event that a new shooter or whatever clears the chamber first, and then removes the magazine, that magazine disconnect CAN prevent a negligent discharge. For that reason, is why manufacturers use mag disconnects. My advice? Leave it alone...
The issue with messing around with safety features on guns is you may me assuming some liability if someone gets hurt as well as possibly voiding any warranty or repair assistance Browning may be willing to supply. The gun community has enough people wanting to make examples of us, please don't give them any additional ammunition to use against us.
The failure which you speak of is a shooter failure. No safety should replace that. Magazine disconnects teach people to be complacent in a way that is unhealthy. Especially considering most firearms don't have them. Safety does not replace firearm handling and I think your premise is fundamentally wrong and unsafe
Just for people who come across this the casings that are in the SEALED bag from the factory intended for those people who need to turn in spent casings to their local law enforcement.you're not supposed to open up the SEALED bag it's not a goodie bag for you to play with it is something for law enforcement to use for identifying your firearm when the bag is opened it breaks the seal from the factory therefore rendering it worthless.
I bought the Ruger Mark II and it is a great gun too, but now I'm ready to buy this Buckmark UFX, but I have a question that is important to me, ( and others too I would guess ) Can you tell me how the Buckmark handles ammo.? That is, will it shoot all types of .22 LR or do I have to stay with a particular brand ?
Reg Sparkes I really haven't had any ammo issues. The only issues I have had are with the mags. When they get dirty at all they start to jam up. Might just be mine, and it might be due to them getting excessively dirty so quickly in my desert climate.
Guns & Accessories Well, I just ordered this very same model. By the time this gets shipped and I receive it, I am thinking it will be in the 2nd or 3rd week of August. I also ordered a spare magazine with mine too. It is a bummer that Buckmark does not come with more than one mag. But like you, I think the Buckmark will be the better pistol. I guess, time will tell. Cheers
Ruger 22 pistols are a real bitch to field strip for cleaning. In 40 years of gun ownersip it was the worst I ever came across. No issues at all with the Buck Mark except fot the two tone grips.

Awesome video. Best buckmark video I've seen so far. Just bought mine this morning.
A excellent job on the video! Appreciate how you showed the full firearm. Cheers to continued success ✌🏼💫

Can you add a red dot sight on this model ??
Thanks for doing all the diligent research!
Is the magazine release button reversible for a left-handed shooter?
Sweet pistol I bought mine and love it
Good information,..easy going and right on the button, as the saying goes. Thanks for this video.
What was your winning bid?

Please turn off the music when you're talking.
+pinkiewerewolf I have learned to turn the music down in the mix more since recording this video. Thanks for watching.
You bet, thanks for posting. I just bought a basic Buckmark Camper for my collection, always love seeing videos of the guns I purchase.

Great video. A store down the road has one brand new for $280.
remove and flip the hammer spring over. Cuts your trigger pull in about half.
